Don’t order here if you value your health

Same as the people below. Ordered two weeks ago, a product which is essential for my health. The product was due to be sent 12 December. But I have heard nothing and it is urgent. No one replies to emails, or even acknowledges them. You can’t get through on the phone, it’s constantly engaged. To make matters worse they send emails every day with more promotions even though they are not capable of honouring the orders they already have. They managed to deduct the money from my credit card two weeks ago without difficulty. An absolute farce of a service and I will never use them again

We’re genuinely sorry for the distress and frustration this caused, especially given how important this product is for your health — we fully understand how unacceptable this experience must have felt.

We don’t want to make excuses, but we do want to be transparent: we experienced issues with our fulfilment centre, which led to delays and a breakdown in communication. That is not acceptable and we take responsibility for it.

We’re pleased to confirm that this has now been resolved and your order has been delivered. We’re also reviewing our processes to ensure this situation does not happen again.

Dreadful experience

Dreadful experience. Their systems are slow and useless. My son is living overseas, has sold a property here, and now cannot access the proceeds of the sale to purchase a new home. He has been unable to proceed with a house purchase as they failed to resolve what should have been be a straightforward issue, despite 2 weeks endlessly on line and on the telephone. Also we will incur a £10000+ currency loss with the delays. The systems are like something from the dark ages. We cannot access our money we are told until I upload my biometric details ( voice and face recognition) but RBS/ Nat west systems are not allowing me to do that. This account, which includes my power of attorney, has been in place for at least 20 years, yet now it seems these checks are essential and my 20 year identity needs to be reproved. And I’d be happy to do that if they'd only let me. Nothing but delay after delay, and they are incapable of resolving the issues or offering any alternative solution. No one seems capable of taking any discretionary action and no one takes responsibility for anything. The managers hide. You deal with person after person and have to repeat the same details over and over again. Noone talks to each other. It’s like beating your head off a wall. I despair and the stress of dealing with this has been/ is immense, and the disappointment re the house loss huge. Do not place any money in the hands of this incompetent, outdated, customer unfriendly business. We still haven’t got our money and I’m terrified this bank goes bust before we get it. I’m having to return home from holiday early so I can go into a branch where I will refuse to leave and chain myself to the desk until they get this resolved.

One star is too much

Excellent clinic, excellent results

I recently had operations for cataracts on both eyes at the Edinburgh Clinic. My situation was complicated as I had had eye surgery many years back and I was unsure as to how successful the operations would be in restoring my vision to a good level. I am delighted to say that my surgeon, Mr Jonathon Ross, rose to the challenge and I now have superb vision in both eyes. My thanks to him and the excellent team that work along with him.
The whole team was professional, highly skilled in their respective roles and succeeded in making my visits to the clinic, including the operations, a relaxed, pleasant, and even enjoyable, experience. The information and support given before, during and after the procedures was first class.

Efficient and helpful during lockdown

Drivalia staff were above and beyond helpful during lockdown and the difficulties that had arisen. My thanks to them for making life easier at a very strange time. I look forward to renting from them again when the firm gets back to regular business

Online purchase was straightforward

Have just bought the policy so have not yet needed to use it so I’m not in a position to comment on how good this provider will be in practice. My 4 star rating refers only to the online purchase process which was ok and pretty easy to follow

Good product, terrible delivery service

I ordered tiles for a kitchen floor. The product was great, the tiles wonderful.
But the company was badly let down by a poor delivery service here in Edinburgh. I arranged for the tiles to be delivered in the afternoon. Instead they arrived in the morning. Fortunately I’d just arrived back home early.
The ‘gentleman’ who was being paid to deliver, dumped my tiles in front of my home on a busy street, because this was the least effortful thing for him to do . When I asked him to bring the delivery on to my property as I wouldnt be able to lift the pack from the street myself, I’m 5ft & 68 years old, he shrugged his shoulders, refused, asked for a signature and then walked off.
Perhaps this is company policy. If so it’s a really poor one. I’d paid £25 to have my goods left on a busy street for anyone to help themselves to. And even if this is the company policy a bit of simple kindness wouldn’t have gone amiss.
Perhaps this style of delivery is not Victorian Plumbing policy, then if so the company needs to be contracting the delivery service to a firm whose employees are gracious and happy to work for their salary.
I was left to complete the delivery myself with the help of two strong kind neighbours.

So far, so unhelpful

So far so unhelpful. I booked a ticket with hand luggage only but have been unable to get any information about that allowance other than curt one line replies. My flights are with BA who operate an incredibly generous hand luggage allowance but I’ve been told by Travel Up that 7kg hand luggage is my limit. It’s taken 3 emails to get that much info. No further info has been volunteered. It’s been like pulling teeth to get any information at all & I’m still trying. There’s nothing in Travel Up’s terms and conditions on baggage allowances and nothing made available to customers as part of the booking process. What’s going on? It doesn’t make me feel comfortable and I rather wish I’d booked direct with BA. Perhaps Travel Up’s customer ‘service’ staff are just poor or the person I’ve been dealing with is just incompetent but whatever it’s not a good customer experience. It might be an idea if Travel Up employed customer service staff who have the capacity to understand, and respond to, what customers are asking. My experience so far is that they ( or rather he - hello again Mike - is either dim or just plain rude. And I still don’t have answers to my questions

Hello, Firstly, please accept my apologies regarding your situation. Here at TravelUp we do try to do our upmost to help every customer the best we can and I am sorry that, we haven’t been able to do this.
When you made the booking you select flights which only included hand baggage only, which is stated on the website, meaning that you had no luggage allowance. Your allowance for your hand baggage is depending on your airline, in your case British Airways. Luggage allowances is not stated on our website as we work with many different airlines who have different policies for different routes.

Total scam: Minus 5 stars

Beware - claims to be a free movie site . You look at what's available & decide there's nothing worth watching and you don't use it at all, only to find that you have been transferred onto a monthly subscription for gaming, movies etc at a price of 50 dollars a month that you knew nothing about. Unless of course you'd had a magnifying glass to inspect some minute wording at the bottom of your introductory 0 dollar invoice. And before you're credit statement comes you then find you've paid two monthly subscriptions. I phoned them tonight to cancel immediately I noticed this. But I've no confidence it will be cancelled at all so I've also cancelled the credit card they have details of.
I'm furious with myself for being so stupid! They must have made a killing out of all the mugs like me.

Proficient repair carried out promptly

A replacement part had to be ordered for my broken boiler but it arrived, and was installed, the very next day. In the middle of winter that was a huge relief. The engineer who carried out the repair was considerate, skilled and efficient. Communication over repair times, engineer arrival times etc was good. My only reservation would be the appointment time. You need to be available from 8am - 6.00pm. I wasn't working that day so it was fine but a 10 hour window is not particularly customer friendly. Few people, whether they work or not, want to be tied to their home, especially if it's cold, for an entire day. A 2 hour or 3 hour slot would be welcome. But many thanks. Overall a good job done well.

Useless customer helpline. Head numbing

I have to echo the comments below. The customer 'support' line was no help at all with a query that should have been easy to resolve or at least should have been easy to pass on to the correct department on the customer's behalf.
6 emails and many days later I still had no resolution to my request for help to complete an order, only a sarcastic 'have a nice day' to my increasing frustration to being unable to get one iota of real help with the problem in hand. Dealing with this shower was like beating your head off a wall. It seemed to me that Sainsbury's was neither interested in its customers or in making sales. Dreadful. If anybody would like to see the head numbing email correspondence, let me know
