When will these big companies realise customers especially old folk do not like self service payment tills, I hate them especially when there are no alternative, I would rather drive another five miles to a different store than use one of those. And the pharmacy never answer their phone ever.

Sorry Acorn really you deserve 5 stars, we phoned up a nice salesman arrived in a day, explained it all in easy to understand detail, no pressure, we paid and a very pleasant competent engineer fitted it just a few days later and it was excellent, BUT then the extended guarantee people got in on the act, I mean OVER £600 REALLY !! and a greasy sale person on the phone every few weeks spoilt the whole experience, so sorry Acorn your after sales are just to darn dear and the people unpleasant.

I went on their free mailing list when Nigel Farage promoted it a few years back, looking for serious investment advice, since then it has become a bit of a joke, you have a bunch of "experts" all promoting their bag of tricks, the crypto man, and the man who looks like a sort of Alien from Mars always on about his family and relations, the Gold man and so on, but the latest addition to their team is ex Youtube where he is considered a complete joke, always forecasting financial doom and gloom sometimes even for that week! which never happens of course, do they not realise what having an "expert" like that does to their credibility? As a fun read, good, as for serious investment advise forget it.

After I switched to first utility from Atlantic, I read all the negative comments and thought I had made a mistake, there were a couple of minor problems such as they put me down for fixed direct debit instead of variable and I had to wait 15 minutes to get through, but thats not unusual for some utility companies today, the young lady that answered sorted it out that day, and everything went smoothly, and I have had the cheapest Winter quarter for years the bills are easy to understand as are the tariffs, speaking only as I've found I can recommend this company, and glad I've switched...
