Untrustworthy

Product was a great price, so we decided to order. Product was added to the basket, and we thought there may be a surcharge for delivery to NI, but surprisingly, we were offered delivery at no extra cost.
We received delivery confirmation (not acceptance) via email and notification from DHL that they were expecting our parcel, and the money was out of our account! Great, we thought, the parcel would soon be with us. Unfortunately, not. An email was received from someone introducing themselves as Helen, and she needed an extra £6 for delivery and to pay via a link, but the email was signed off from Amelia. So, not sure if Helen or Amelia is needing the payment.
After trying to email to resolve but having no response within the 24 hours they promised, it took numerous phone calls to eventually get through. The lady on the phone was lovely and agreed that what Costway does is not right with regards to charging after orders are placed and the lack of information on the website and during checkout. These cowboys are happy to take your money under false pretences. At no point during the checkout are you advised that after purchase, you will be contacted to pay additional shipping.
Still waiting for a response to see if they will honour the order they have already confirmed and taken payment for. I’d be very wary about using them as obviously not an honest or trustworthy business to deal with.

Incompetent business supplying faulty goods….

In store experience was fantastic and sales assistant was great. Sofas were delivered one week earlier than expected. Thought this was great service all round and couldn’t complain about anything but little did I know what was to ensue.
Two of the zinc sofas were delivered- one had a stain on the arm and the other had buttons sewn on so out of line whoever did it must have been blind.
After being pushed from pillar to post and being promised the sun moon and stars nothing ever materialised. All I wanted was the cushion replaced (which they did agree too) but this seemed to be beyond the store managers ability to organise however he was able to organise on 3 separate occasions a button, a cover and a new cushion- but the wrong colour cushion.
As for customer services- 3 months and 2 days later I am still waiting for the first phone call I was promised within 72 hours from a manager. They will lie and tell you whatever they want to get you off the phone with promises of everything will be resolved. In the four months of trying to sort the issue i have made 47 phone calls to customer services (which achieved nothing) and 7 separate visits to store.
I’m one of the lucky ones that got a refund. Avoid DFS at all costs! If you do insist on buying furniture from here use a credit card as you’ll be able to get a refund of them when they supply you with faulty goods!

Excellent all round

Update: only it would be unfair to Neill I would be giving a one star review for the whole process. Store manager (David) is incompetent and his after sales service is non existent. Avoid this place at all costs as when they have your money they’ll not want to know you.
I went in knowing what sofas I wanted but Neill couldn’t have been more helpful throughout the whole process. Took the time to explain the different fabrics, what fillings were available and extra insurance available. At no point was he pushy but left it up to me to decide what was right for me. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend based on the sales experience I received.

Great product and company

The lights were fantastic quality. Really substantial and solid product. The item was picked dispatched and delivered all within 2 weeks which was great as products coming into NI have been a lot slower and can face much longer wait times. Will definitely be returning again!
