Unfair charge for returning items…

It's very unfair for customers when Blue Vanilla charges £2.25 to return items purchased online. Such items cannot be returned to their stores either.

An excellent driving instructor…

Mr Hemantha is an excellent instructor for driving and he is very pleasant, patient and very organised for achieving the target. He is very punctual and reliable.
Every driving lesson is a pleasant experience and it is no doubt that he can be very highly recommended. Above all, passing the driving test in the first go is the best for which I salute him. A great job Mr Hemantha.

A brand new NX350h that was never delivered…

I placed an order for a brand new Lexus NX350h in June 2022 with an estimated delivery of November 2022. In October, I was notified it will be delivered in January 2023. In January, the delivery month was changed to March 2023. In March, the delivery was estimated to be in September 2023 at which point, I lost trust in Lexus’s ability produce brand new cars. It is obvious, there is a global shortage of supply of chips required for making brand new cars and I was happy to bear the longer delivery time. But Lexus is giving false expectations multiple times to their customers.

Return process of ASICS website is worst

The return process of ASICS website is a total mess. I purchases an item online from ASICS website which I needed to return. I followed the instructions of the order email which redirected to the ASICS website which showed a couple of website links (i.e. ASICS and ASICS outlet). Both websites recognized my order number and I happily generated a prepaid return label and posted the item to a location in German via UPS. A couple of weeks passed but nothing happened with my return. When I emailed customer services and provided them with the return label ASICS generated, they responded saying they absolutely don't have any idea why the item was sent to an address in German and hence they were unable to process the refund. I emailed a several times explaining how I generated the return label, they insisted that they are unable to process the refund and even asked me to check with the UPS courier company to find out why they posted the item to a location in German. UPS did their right job by delivering to the exact address the return label mentioned. Being helpless from the support customer services provided, I rang ASICS directly and explained the situation and the person immediately accepted that it was their fault that the item ended up in German and immediately arranged to issue a refund. I will never use ASICS in the future.

Item hasn't been delivered despite providing a gate code for access.

I provided a gate code to Yodel via webchat twice to make sure it gets to the driver and I was re-assured that the package will be delivered within a two hour Window. Then tracking information says we are unable to access your property! On other hand, estimated delivery time window is totally unreliable because web chat customer service agent mentioned that they can deliver any time until 9pm! There is no phone number to call to discuss this issue. Chat lines are saying operators are busy and try again a few minutes later. I have been seeing this message for 3 hours without being able to chat with an operator. I still haven't received my parcel.

I will never use Western Union

I will never use Western Union in the future. I transferred money with the promise that it will be received by the other party with one business day. The funds didn’t reach the other party and I had to start my day with a call to Western Union on a daily basis to inquire about it and everyday their answer was there are waiting for a response from their agent and after a week or so, the money was refunded. What a waste of time...!

This is the worst company I dealt with…

This is the worst company I dealt with during the pandemic. I ordered an Agatha light set and it was delivered with a missing light shade. Then I emailed Debenham and all I got was a ticket number and I chased them a couple of times. The issue was never resolved. I have stopped using Debenhams.

A great product offered by John Lewis

Thanks to the great service offered by John Lewis, I bought a Samsung fridge freezer RL4362FBASL/EU.
I was searching around a standard size fridge freezer with higher freezer capacity and I didn’t want to go for American style. This is the perfect matching fridge freezer that goes in between a standard size one and an American style one. Plenty of freezer capacity and plenty of fridge capacity. Shelves can be adjusted when necessary. This comes with a digital inverter compressor which is the energy saving factor with such a big capacity. This was on display at John Lewis in Watford. What a great product....
This is 70cm wide and hence make sure it can squeeze through all the doors in the house before buying.

An excellent job by HomeServe

An accurate quotation was provided for a new boiler installation by HomeServe after a thorough walk through of the current boiler and heating setup in the property. Hence the HomeServe does give a guarantee on exactly how much the installation is going to cost without any surprises before the work begins. They also measured water pressure accurately in order to give us the opportunity to choose a suitable boiler. Then the installation work was carried out by a professional plumbing engineer. Above all I got the new boiler with a 0% interest loan for two years. Well done HomeServe.

I had a couple problems booking with…

I had a couple problems booking with expedia.co.uk.

1) I don't trust the prices shown in expedia when searching for flight + hotel + car deals. On the final confirmation page, it says prices have changed by over £100. When I restart the browser and searched again, I still get the original price but the confirmation page again shows the prices have increased.

2) I phoned expedia directly to secure the original price and the customer service person provided a matching deal at a similar price which I booked. Then I discovered that the customer service had got the car pick up and drop times other way around and thereby he has managed to match the prices. If the car pick up times and drop off times were corrected, the whole deal cost more than £200 the original price I originally got. Luckily I managed to get a full refund for the car booking and I managed to get a cheaper and better car else where.

3) The person on the phone managed to pull the full names for all the passengers from expedia system since we had used expedia in the past. Still he made a mistake in the surname in flight tickets. When I complained to expedia, they opened a complain which is going to take 48 hours to resolve. Luckily I searched my booking on Rynair website and I found that Ryanair allows to change names within first 24 hours since booking without charge. It is surprising Expedia doesn't know that!

I will avoid Expedia at all costs in the future.

The worst online ordering experience

The way ASDA direct online service works is utterly inconvenient.
I ordered an item around £100 from ASDA direct and chose the time slot to pick the item next day. ASDA direct blocks the funds in my bank account not knowing whether the item is available in the store chosen. Next day morning, I found that the store doesn't have the item and hence they cancelled the order. Then ASDA direct does not release the funds in the bank account for a long time (6 days to 10 working days). If I need to release the funds sooner, ASDA direct asked me to call the bank and get the authorization number and a fax number and pass back to them which they will then send to the bank. I decided I will never use ASDA direct service. I have used Tesco direct for ordering items many times and I had never had a problem. In fact, Tesco delivers the item to the chosen store to be collected the next day. I will continue to use Tesco but avoid ASDA direct at all costs.
