Getting an estimate for the repair took longer than expected and the explanation provided was that they were waiting on a response from the parts supplier for prices. Once the estimate had been received the repair was quite quick and the watch returned within a couple of weeks. Very happy with the quality of the repair. Communications throughout were good.

Very knowledgeable in helping me deal with a complicated integrated fridge freezer replacement. They knew exactly which products would fit after I gave the existing appliance model number. Delivered and installed next day. Very efficient and neat installation. Will use again next time I need to replace an appliance.

AEG integrated fridge freezer not German it’s made in Italy by Electrolux who bought the brand. It’s completely broken after just 4 years use. No power and the engineer says the cooling elements and compressor are broken and repair is not viable. The interior drawers are made of brittle plastic that easily cracks and cost near £50 each to replace. A complete rip off. Also had to replace a hob after 3 years. Service provided by the company representing AEG in the uk was also terrible when I contacted them about my hob. They found every excuse not to repair it claiming it had been incorrectly installed however it had been installed exactly according to the instructions and they were unable to specify which instruction had not been followed and came up with an additional ventilation requirement not in the manual or installation instructions. Don’t buy AEG!

initial boiler service rescheduled by BG twice at the last minute without explanation or apology. The first appointment was for the 7th December. No engineer showed up and I received a text stating that the appointment had been rescheduled to January 18th. Received several messages today (18th Jan) stating that an engineer would be attending between 12:00 and 18:00. No engineer showed up. I received a message just before 18:00 stating the appointment had been rescheduled to February 9th. I accept that on occasion unforeseen circumstances can arise but you would expect BG to have adequate processes in place to manage this situation competently either by contingency planning or appropriate communications with the customer. Furthermore the website has incorrect info about the call centre opening hours. It seems you have to contact before 5pm not 8pm as the website states. I took out this contract 3 months ago to provide confidence that my vulnerable tenants would receive a reliable service if needed. I am receiving nothing but inconvenience and I have zero confidence in BG. I will be cancelling the contract and I expect a refund of payments made to date. I would recommend avoiding BG as they cannot be depended upon. The senior management at BG should be ashamed of the shambles they are presiding over.

In response to the reply. This is no excuse. It is up to BG to ensure that they employ enough engineers to cover emergencies. This was not a one off. It’s twice with the reschedule being almost a month out. I am paying for a service you are unable to deliver. Neither the call centre nor chat were available at 7pm on the 18th. I will be trying again today. I hope I’m not in a queue for 30 mins as others have stated in their reviews.

Buying a property is often a stressful experience however Imran did an excellent job for me.
