Expensive item left on doorstep in full view.

Item ordered Friday. Delivery expected following Wednesday. On Saturday at 1100 advised item out for delivery but no estimate time. Left expensive item on front door step in full view of street. My delivery instructions are, if not in, leave with neighbour next door. Ironically they also had a parcel for next door, but left mine on display. Luckily it was still there when I got home.

Do NOT order from this firm

Do NOT order from this firm. Watch ordered on their site. Watch dispatched via UPS from Germany. UPS arrive and say there is £41.25 to pay import duty. This was not mentioned when ordering, although they have subsequently updated their site to say you are liable for this additional tax. AVOID unless you want to accept 33% extra added to your bill.

Exceptional service

Car broke down on M1 at 1100. Bringing my 87 year old Mother home for Christmas (In support bubble). Fortunately made it to a refuge layby and emergency phone. Covered by RAC through SAGA insurance. Police contacted from emergency phone, who then called RAC. Craig arrived within 30 minutes. Car diagnosed with severe engine problems and required towing. Additional RAC patrol Matt arrived. Car towed home via Morrisons where a taxi was arranged to bring us home. Car towed back and placed on drive. What wonderful chaps they both were. Thanks for all the assistance. Truly exceptional service.

First class service.

After scanning Camerapricebuster for the new Olympus 100-400 lens, I found it was on pre-order or waiting stock with almost everyone. Then noticed Carmarthen Cameras was showing one in stock. Immediately put it in the basket. Used the chat function to ask if it was really in stock? Quick reply said yes it was. Ordered 0942 Thursday. Chose free delivery. Arrived 0959 Friday. What fantastic service.

What an absolute joke of a company

What an absolute joke of a company. Whilst most transactions will go through automatically ....don't fall for 'all your purchases are covered by the Paypal guarantee'. God forbid if you actually have a problem. If you can get by their automated systems to speak to someone, you will get lots of sympathy and understanding before being put back in the auto system and fed lots of generic responses but no 'actual' or 'specific' answer. After having the same claim opened and denied six times over a two week period, i was advised to take the matter up with my own credit card company. Always pay via your credit card to ensure you get purchase protection, don't link your bank account.

I hadn't intended to write this review. I was looking for flights to Australia and Cathay Pacific had reasonable flights and prices. Looked at Cathay review and didn't like what i saw. Could they be that bad? So i thought i would look at Etihad reviews and it seems to be the same sad story. Are people too quick to complain but slow to praise? Now myself and my wife have just come back from a holiday in India having booked flights with Etihad, we also flew with them last year to India. I have to say that customer service, check in, flight attendants, food were superb on all eight flights. As were the transfer arrangements in Abu Dhabi. They are a first class organisation with lovely people and superb aircraft. Yes, we flew economy and the leg room is adequate. I would definitely choose Etihad for future flights. The one down side ...having booked your flight, they want extra money to allocate you a seat ...not good having just paid £998 for tickets. So on line check in comes 48 hours before the flight ...and they still want paying extra to allocate you a seat. 24 hours before the flight you find they have allocated your seats automatically. Couldn't check in on line for the return flights from India but had no trouble checking in at Kochi airport. All was well. Highly recommended (except for seat allocation).

Impressive service

Ordered a Panasonic 7-14 lens for my Olympus camera. Order quickly acknowledged and TNT tracking number sent the following day. Excellent communication. e-mail answered within 1 hour. Lens despatched from Hong Kong and delivered on time. I have used Panamoz on several occasions. 3 year UK guarantee given which is a real bonus. Beware of others who give a 1 year Hong Kong guarantee. Would highly recommend this company.

August 2018 ...best to avoid ...

Thought i would try MPB as it seemed easier to send my equipment away with a courier picking it up from home and it would save me a longish journey to my nearest camera shop. I have always part exchanged / sold equipment at my camera shop in the past and it is pretty straight forward. My parcel was picked up by DPD on Tuesday 24th July and i received an e-mail to say it had arrived at MPB the following day, Wednesday 25th July. It then took another week before i received another email stating that they had identified fungus in the lens. It's not an uncommon problem, so i asked MPB to advise where this had been identified so that i could get a quote for it to be cleaned etc and to return my lens. On 2nd August MPB said they would return the lens and tracking info will follow. On the 6th August i asked if my lens had been returned. On the 7th August i received the following response .......Please accept our apologies for the delay in having your items returned to you! We are currently dealing with a slight backlog and are working very hard to get your items back to you as soon as possible! .....I have now sent a message to our dispatch guys to prioritise your transaction and send it to you as soon as possible.
So roll on to the 9th August and and still nothing ... a further email arrived saying ...I've now looked on our system and your item is scheduled to be dispatched to you by the end of day Monday 13th August at the latest. Still no despatch details. Tried calling Tuesday 14th August ...waited on the phone for 8 minutes before being advised everyone was too busy and to leave a message or contact by email. So 21 days after arrival at MPB and 14 days since it was going to be returned ....I am still waiting. I was hoping to use it whilst on holiday ...but i will no doubt be leaving before it gets returned. So in summary it appears that MPB have more work than they have staff to deal with the work load. Just a note ...on 1st August i ordered a replacement lens hood for another lens on e-bay. £3.80 all the way from China including postage! It arrived 11th August. Thats service! I personally would not use MPB again. I

New Honeywell Control Panel

Having contacted Honeywell direct and advised of a faulty display on my heating control panel...they gave me a part number and 'binding' instructions to enable a new panel to work with my receiver. Filled with trepidation i googled the part number. A couple of firms had what i needed and from reviews i ordered the part from Evohome. This done on the basis they also give a UK landline so that if necessary i would be able to speak to someone in the hope any problems would be resolved. Their price coincidently was also the cheapest!
I do a fair amount of internet shopping....but this whole process was so efficient it beggars belief. From the moment i pressed the order button, i received the most comprehensive of emails advising when the order would be despatched to when it would arrive. It took two days to arrive . Ordered Tuesday Evening, arrived Thursday morning. Well packaged. I followed the 'binding' instructions...very simple...and my boiler fired into life. Cannot praise Honeywell initially and Evohome enough for their first class service. Very highly recommended. Thank you.
