Rubbish

They are a Chinese firm that have no desire to provide a decent product. I would put a years wages that the 5 star reviews on here are fake.

I purchased trainers on 21st Feb, on 14th March was told they are still in transit so the order could not be cancelled and today (22nd March), I got an email to say they’ve been dispatched today.

Based on other reviews I have no confidence that when they eventually arrive, they will bear any resemblance to the advertised product.

Don’t go near this company with a barge pole.

Absolute rubbish

Absolute rubbish. I was considering using them as a supplier direct to customers. I’m still waiting for my order a week after ordering it and just got a review request. Well my review would be no stars if I could, I paid premium postage and according to Royal Mail, it wasn’t sent by a tracked service, just 1st/2nd class. Wouldn’t go near them again and I haven’t even had the opportunity to see the quality of the product.

Following reply, I would clarify that I paid £5 for delivery and it said 1/2 business days. It’s now been a week and still not sign of it.

Don't buy from this company, if there is a problem, they will not abide by the law

Item left in an unsafe place by the courier and stolen.

Brora are not interested and keep fobbing us off. They do not understand Consumer Law and don't abide by it.

We have consulted a solicitor who has advised that an item remains their responsibility until it is in the customers physical possession. No refund & no item. Its a disgrace.

If the refund isn't forthcoming in 7 days, we will be commencing legal proceedings to recover the cost.

Absolutely disgusted

Absolutely disgusted! I ordered Jeans from this company, unbeknown to me they were sent from Italy. I returned them as they weren't right. I had forgotten about it until I just got a debt collector chasing me for import duties and taxes for £91! I have explained they were retuned but they weren't interested. I went back to AG Jeans and they said, and I quote.....

"Dear Customer,
at the time you placed your order, it was clearly stated on our website that UK customs duties were to be paid by the customer.
The return has been closed, and we are unable to issue any further refunds.
In the meantime, our policy has been updated to help prevent such situations in the future.
We’re sorry, but we are no longer able to intervene in this matter.
Kind regards,"

What a joke, £91 bill for Jeans I never even kept and the company are not interested in sorting it, but they have decided to change their policies, just not for this case. Disgraceful company!

Do not buy Jeans from them! I will be posting this review everywhere I can find!

Badly leaking a fridge and F&P do nothing

We purchased a Fisher & Pakel, french door fridge freezer around 7 years ago. We have had nothing but problems with it, leaking mainly, but ice box stopping working an a number of occasions. We have had to call out their engineer every year and sometimes more. We appealed to them several times to replace it whilst it was in warranty due to its constant problems but they refused.

When the warranty ran out, they then told us there was nothing we could do except pay for an engineer. We are not prepared to do that as these problems have been known by them since we bought it.

As a compromise, they offered us a discount on a new one if we bought it from their site, but when I looked, even with the discount, I found I could get exactly the same one on AO.com for £300 cheaper. When I pointed that out, they just ignored me. Now, we have a fridge that is leaking badly from beneath, as it has done since we bought it, and they will do nothing about it. I am appalled and would never shop with them again.

Do not buy from this company - Scammers

Do not buy from this company, they are scammers in China. What they send you will not resemble the item you thought you were buying, they will offer a refund if you spend £30 sending it to China, or have 10% off. Either way, you are throwing money away, it is a scam!

I have been with Virgin Wines for…

I have been with Virgin Wines for years, their service is great and they have a good selection to choose from. I have come to realise however, that their prices always seem to be at the top of the price range and even with the winebank interest, you are still paying over the odds. Its a great scheme if you need to save for your wine and buy it in that way, but you are paying more for the privilege. Whenever I have looked, I always find it considereably cheaper elsewhere.

Jet2 changed our expensive pre-booked seats for random ones

By chance this morning I looked at the boarding passes I was issued, and they are random seats, not the ones I paid an extra £60 to reserve. After sitting in a queue on the telephone on the enquires, I’m told it was because there was a plane change. At no point did they tell me they have moved us nor offered to refund the £60, it was pure chance that I spotted it. I’m now told I will have to queue at the check in desk to resolve it. We are taking carry on bags precisely so we don’t have to queue. Not impressed!

So surprised by these reviews!

I’m reading all of these reviews and to say I am flabbergasted is an understatement. Fisher are not miracle workers, they are an investment firm that has consistently out performed the benchmark MSCI World index. Yes, their fees are high, but the service they provide is second to none in my opinion. I joined around 3 years ago, and since then we have had a number of market crashes, but I have stuck with them and again they inevitably out perform the benchmark by some distance in the recovery. They have one fund, Purisima, and depending on your risk appetite, will balance the levels invested versus cash based investments. My pot has grown 40ish % in those 3 or so years and I’m very happy. A lot of these reviews are about the hard sell etc, very few come from actual investors in Fisher, and those negative ones appear to be because they didn’t have the patience to see through a down turn. I saw one saying “manage it yourself”. If you do that, make sure you are an expert! If not, Fisher is a well respected investment firm and if you have the patience that’s stock require, you will be rewarded!

What an absolute joke this company is

What an absolute joke this company is. Chinese utter rubbish. My wife ordered me a 3xl (yes, I’m quite a big chap) shirt. It arrived, and does not even fit my wife who is a uk size 8. The company states we can only have 20% back, and we have to pay the postage to China. What an absolute scam. Do not go near this company.

Go somewhere you trust, swerve these guys

I purchased a premium car at premium cost (£81k). When I went to view the car it looked immaculate, but since having the vehicle I have noticed a number of issues. Not least of which the bonnet lettering started falling off. I didn’t think too much of it and bought some more from Land Rover. When I took it to a local garage, they told me that the bonnet had been resprayed, badly, leaving lots of lacquer down one wing, but that rather than putting new lettering back on, they merely stuck, with double sided sticky tape, the old lettering back on. They said they would be happy to fix by getting all new lettering and polishing out the lacquer for £220, which I thought was reasonable. I contacted Saxton and after some time they offered to sort it out if I brought the car back.

As I live an hour and a half from them, I suggested they reimburse the cost and we can go our separate ways. They refused and insisted I take the car back to them. I am a busy person and do not have time to keep running back and forth over silly issues that should not have been there on such a car in the first place.

They were unwilling to budge in any way and as a result, I have opted to get the car sorted professionally as I don’t trust the quality of their work and don’t have unlimited time to keep going back.

There were other issues as well which I won’t go into here, but suffice to say, for the price, it has been prepared very poorly and they are not interested in helping their customers once the sale has gone through.

I actually asked them about their poor reviews and they said that only people with negative experiences tended to review, so it looks lop-sided, but I have to say, I agree with the reviews. They make the car look fantastic, but within no time, you start to see the issues, and unless you live nearby, it will be a major thorn in your side.

My advice, go somewhere you trust.

Update: Saxton’s response actually referred to a response received before my review. They did not at any time reach out to offer a more amicable solution. Them saying they have reached out to me is disingenuous and I would repeat, don’t buy from these guys unless you live close by and can afford the time to keep going back.

Avoid this company

Item still not delivered despite being ready for dispatch on the 30th October (according to them). They have told me the delay is because of difficulties with their courier and despite my asking questions of them, they ignore my questions and tell me they have problems with their courier. I asked them to send via another courier, let’s face it, there is no shortage of couriers around; this was ignored. This item was £867 and for my wifes birthday. I asked them a week ago to just refund me so I could source something else, and here we are now, with them sending me a returns label saying they will refund once they receive the item back. They say they are all human, but give a standard response and do not answer your questions. Customer service is shocking and I am now £867 down. I will be contacting the credit card company to claim as I don't believe they have any intention of refunding or sending the item. Avoid like the plague!

Update: Here we are 20th December and I still have neither the item nor my money back. I am having to claim from the credit card but I have no idea how long that will take.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY...

Best rates out there!

I was a little reluctant as I haven’t come across these guys before, but read some reviews and took a gamble. Cash arrived within two days and I got a much better rate than any of the main sites out there. Very pleased. There is a limit on how much you can have without having to pay a fee, but the amount I needed was below that so, couldn’t be happier!

They should make very clear a booking is actually booked and not subject to owners approval

No real reason to have a problem, except after I paid a substantial deposit (and then went off and booked flights etc) I read that I shouldn’t book travel as they had to get the owners approval before confirming. Luckily, they did, but I would have been rather angry if they hadn’t. So all is well, but Oliver’s Travels should make that very clear when paying the deposit. Could’ve been a lot worse!

Be very wary of ordering form this site

I ordered some Aesop items for my daughters birthday on the 2nd Dec. I was due to meet them on the 14th so felt it was plenty of time. Unbeknown to me, the items were actually coming from the US, not the UK. I kept getting emails to say my order would be delayed so I responded saying that if they weren't going to be here by the 13th then I would need to cancel. The next thing I know they send an email (on the 8th December) saying they had already been dispatched. I said to them that if they weren't here by the 13th I would need to return them as would need to source something else for the gift. They assured me that the item should be here on time. It wasn't and still isn’t! I have contacted them a number of times, they take 24 hours each time to respond, then ignore what you asked with some rubbish standard line. I have told them I need to send them back but they insist that they are “unwanted” items and so the postage would be at my expense, given this is the US, it wont be cheap. Despite still not having them a full two weeks after ordering them, they still insist they will not pay the return postage. They initially said allow 2 to 3 days for arrival, then said 7 days, then told me the expectation is 30 days! Their customer service is absolutely awful, a different rep answers each time, ignoring what you said, and I now give up. If you are a UK purchaser, be very wary of dealing with this company. I ordered the items directly from Aesop in the end and guess what, they arrived the very next day! Very, very poor service and utterly useless customer service; they clearly DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!

Super quick delivery

Super quick delivery. Unfortunately the item was too small and I have to return but they were very quick to send a pre-paid returns label. So all in all, I am impressed with them and would definitely use again.
