Watch them like hawks...they may pinch your money
Initially I found the bank to be very good..easy to set up and use.
The payments when overseas was excellent, also sending money to friends.
However, I noticed that I was charged x 2 for the same transaction. I queried with the merchant ( tesco ) who assumed me that they only had received the money x1...also that monzo do this a lot!!
So monzo eventually put the money back in my account..but only because I spotted the error and contacted them.
There was no apology, no explanation.
So I have closed the account and would advise all monzo users to watch them like hawks...
Was it an error..or theft?
Who knows, but they did nothing to reassure me..and they have done this many times to others.
