Good website...but the bonus situation is totally unclear

I like the website..really clear and easy to use.
Good price for car insurance too - beat my renewal.
Less clear though is the situation with the £20 bonus for purchasing insurance.
The same applied when I bought home contents insurance a few weeks ago.plenty of mention of the £20 offer..then, after buying the product...absolutely nothing .
Which is disappointing as well as misleading.

Rustington Halfords.. fantastic service

I am blown away by the fantastic service at Halfords Rustington bike department.
The staff here are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.
Two guys went above and beyond in testing my e-bike and discovering the problem.
I could not be more pleased with the helpful way I was assisted and will certainly return for future service / purchase requirements.
In the current climate of poor service being the norm, these guys really showed how it should be done.
Thanks again for your help..10/10

Utterly useless as a courier company.

Utterly useless as a courier company.
How on earth can they remain in business, providing such abysmal service.
They have a 4 hour window...failed to meet it.
One hour after the deadline, I contacted the Crawley depot by chat ( no option to phone).
They have no idea where the driver is.
Not able to contact the driver as they have no phone.
Utterly useless as a courier company.

First Direct... definitely the best bank

Excellent all round, communication is spot on.
The FD app works really well,is straight forward and logical in layout.
I have never had any complaints in over 20 years with First Direct..they are the best bank in my experience..and I have tried them all, over the years..
Thanks to all at first direct.

Excellent customer service from Amex.

Excellent customer service from Amex.
I had an issue with a scamming company, based in Holland.
Unfortunately, amex sided with the scamming company, choosing to ignore my plea to not issue the scammers with payment.
They have paid the scammer, but have refunded me as a gesture of goodwill.
I feel that I have been ignored...and the scammers have been given the green light..carry on a Ammi g.
But I am happy to get refunded.
Thank you AMEX...I just wish you had listened to me.

avoid this booking site...they are little different to scammers

we were pleased with our choice of Rome hotel, it had great reviews and was in the location that we wanted.
The booking process was straightforward and, having used lastminute ( via booking.com ) previously we were confident of good service.
What a mistake!
The day prior to travelling, we received an email from lastminute advising that a "technical issue" our hotel was not available.
lastminute had selected an alternative - we could either accept the alternate hotel AND AGREE TO MAKE NO CLAIMS FOR ANY DISAPPOINTMENT or sort a hotel for ourselves.
Of course, we opted to accept the alternate hotel.
And this hotel was a shocker - Dark, dingy and drab, obviously run my bean counters. No milk in the room, a kettle that did not cut out, miserable miniscule pots of shower gel and shampoo, 1 ( one) double power point, no air con, infested with biting mosquitos, very poor decor, shockingly poor breakfast buffet with stale bread and rolls on offer, miserable staff...it was displaying 4 stars, which is double what it should be awarded.
The thing is, reading reviews for lastminute.com, this issue is far from unique. Technical issues arise frequently, so it is easy to see that this is a very easy way to increase the profit margin.
Take a booking for a higher class hotel
Book a lower class hotel..tell the customer when there is no time for them to do anything about it..
Claim a "technical issue" has arisen.
pocket the difference. All the time insisting that the beleaguered customer has no redress...Simples!

A refund arrived, eventually

After 16 days and 2 nehative reviews left on trustpilot, I have finally received the refund...for the products that I had not requested.

I appreciate the refund, but wonder why it took so much time ..on your part, and effort on my part to get this over the line.

Very poor check in experience

Very poor check in experience.
Check in for outbound flight tookmanyattempts before the code was finally accepted.
However the code provided for tge return leg didn't work at all, which was most frustrating.
We had to check in manually and, even then the staff member at orly struggled to get the code to work.
Quite why, in this technological age, these processes cannot work seamlessly is something I cannot fathom.

Brilliant service

From the very start to the moment the car was collected, carwow exceeded my expectations.
Communication was first class ( even when listing on a Sunday).
The app was so simple to use.
I was kept informed via calls and email as to what would happen.
The car sold on the first day of auction and achieved £1600 more than the cowboys at we buy any xxx( who dropped their promised price by £500 ).
The dealer too was excellent..the money went into my bank the day before he came to collect the car.
I couldn't be more impressed or delighted with the service from carwow ...simply the best!
Thanks to Andrea, Gabriel and anyone else at carwow who helped along the way...so very much appreciated.
If you are thinking of selling your car, please give these guys a try...no fee to pay either...unlike the other outfit.

Excellent service and professional…

Excellent service and professional workmanship.
I was delighted with the work carried out by Kane and Sons.
The team were all friendly, communication was first class.
The replacement soffit and guttering were completed to a very high standard.
The price quoted was fair and was kept to.
Overall, I am really delighted with the work from Kane and Sons.
I would not hesitate to recommend the company to others and will definitely use their services again for any roofing work required in the future.

Lousy service...highly disreputable and…

Lousy service...highly disreputable and I would not recommend wbac in Worthing based on the following :
11340gbp online quote.
We visited the site and were offered 10623gbp...which was fair as the car has some knocks and surface scratches.
We were unable to accept, as we were not ready to sell until 4 days later.
We asked what sort of difference we may expect, over 4 days with no additional miles or change in condition. Lewis told us "only a few pounds, literally 5 - 10, if anything."
So we made a 2nd appointment,for 4 days later.
The "few pounds" transpired to be 463 GBP..over 115 less per day!
Disgraceful service I M H O..and I won't be returning...I'll recommend to anyone considering selling their car to avoid these charlatans.

Dreadful service from Just Eat

The food we ordered ( from patty guy, Worthing ) was delivered 75minutes late.
This was after we had tried in vain to cancel the order.
The food was totally inedible. It was stone cold and the burger buns were soggy with the pattys burnt.
It was fit only for the bin, which is where it went.
Just eat could not care less offering a partial refund ( £13 against a £31 spend )
This was their maximum allowance for cold food, apparently.
I am disgusted with the attitude of just eating and will never use their service again.

Greedy, self serving and incompetent

They have the audacity to charge 3 per cent for handling a simple transaction.
And then deny access to the funds for 3 weeks.
Greedy, incompetent and zero interest in providing decent, honest customer service..
What a disgusting company.

A lousy and greedy company

Charged a whopping 3% fee to handle a simple transaction.
Then blocked me access to my funds...even though PayPal acknowledged they were cleared...for 21 days.
An absolutely disgusting company to deal with.
Greedy and utterly unfocused on customers.

A really first class bank.
I have been delighted with the excellent standard of customer service from first direct, for over 20 years now.
Everything one could hope for.. efficient, always easily contactable and always easy to understand.

Awful, they cannot be bothered to reply

Awful, really dreadful service.
They do not respond to emails..I must admit, I haven't bothered to try and call them..email is easier for me.
I cannot believe that they have the temerity to boast about "award winning" customer service ( on their website ).. unless the award was for providing dismal service or shocking lack of response, I can only assume this is a "fake claim"

Similarly, another mention is made of response time to emails..."go on, try us out" ..another idle boast.
Well octopus..I did just that...2 days ago...no reply!
I have been a customer for 6 months, having been drafted in from the collapse of Avro.
I am still awaiting my first bill..

Dreadful online car buying experience

I attempted to buy a car from Toyota online.
What a mistake to make!
The service is not fit for purpose
The staff, though friendly and polite are exceedingly lacking in knowledge.
The system is totally un customer friendly.
One has to leave the entire p/x value of any car that is being used as a trade-in ( ie the usual practice ) as the deposit on the new Toyota car. There is no option to leave part of the value of trade-in as a deposit and take part in the value as cash.
The staff cancelled one order and asked that I re-order..which is fine. Except that the value of my p/x had dropped £200 in a day. The online team knew no way of retrieving the previous, higher value ( from the day before )
This despite the p/x being "fixed" for 12 days...supposedly.
Some of the team state that the p/x value is guaranteed, as long as the mileage, condition etc are as stipulated by the customer.
Other members say " it is a guide only..and an indication of what may be achieved "...so not fixed at all.
All in all, as a previously loyal Toyota customer ( iI have purchased 4 brand new and one used Toyota before ) I shall never return and take my automotive custom elsewhere.

The standard of customer service, as provided over the telephone by Melissa, was exceptional.
My enquiry was dealt with in a clear and straightforward and friendly manner.
I thought that really great service had disappeared..But was happy to be proved wrong!
