BEWARE OF THE HEALTHY PET CLUB AND REFERRALS TO OTHER CVS VET PRACTICES - PROMISED DISCOUNTS UNLIKELY TO APPLY

Our dog suffered a back injury and we were referred to another CVS Vets - Dovecote Veterinary Hospital in Castle Donnington, Derbys. Our dog underwent surgery but sadly did not recover and we had to have her put down. We were members of The Healthy Pet Club and only found out (informed) that the 10% discount on Vet fees and products would not apply as Dovecote are a 'CVS Referral Centre' despite our vets and Dovecote are both part of The CVS Group. The cost of the treatment was £8K, therefore the discount would have been significant. None of this compensates for the loss of our dog as we are gutted however BEWARE when signing up for Healthy Pet Club or if you are a member and you are referred as this informaton was not communicated nor were we offered any alternative vet practices. I cannot now see any benefit to joining The Healthy Pet Club as you can easily buy standard treatments such as flea and wormers, overall a very poor experience. We have now changed Vets and will never deal with a CVS Group practice or company again.

DO NOT TRADE WITH THIS COMPANY: NO SERVICE, NO CUSTOMER CARE, NO RESPONSIBILITY

I purchased 2 ovens from AppliancesDirect, received as promised and had installed 2 days later, one of the ovens is faulty, when the fan oven is on the door blows open on its own accord.
Immediately contacted ApplicancesDirect, after a 35 minute wait on the customer services number I was told to contact the manufacturer to claim on the warranty, in other words ApplicancesDirect took no responsibility. I challenged this on the basis that I have transacted with AppliancesDirect and they have a responsibility under the Consumer Rights Act: The Consumer Rights Act means any products you buy must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. AppliancesDirect were not interested and repeated that I needed to contact the manufacturer.

To add insult to injury ApplicancesDirect have called me and emailed me offering the 'Freedom Warranty' for £4.49/month promising:
- If it breaks, we'll fix it
- We'll replace or if we can't repair it
- No hidden charges
- Accidental damage cover
- No long term contracts

This is a sales led organisation with no integrity or concern for customers, consumers and the law - appalling service - DO NOT USE

Thank you for your review. I am really sorry to hear that you have experienced issues with your item purchased from us. This is not what we like to hear from our customers.
I can see that our customer service team has advised you to contact the manufacturers regarding this.

We do this because the manufacturers are experts about their products and can often resolve this without needing the item to be returned to them.
If they cannot help with technical support, they can offer you a repair or replacement or provide you with an uplift number for us to do so for you. Generally, we find this makes the process easier for customers as it avoids any miscommunication between ourselves, you, and the manufacturer.
