New Essex customer

It may seem strange to review a company having just left it but Plusnet deserve credit for the many years of excellent service I have experienced.
Plusnet always provided reliable and reasonably fast broadband over the years and were open to negotiation to get the best deal when each contract term ended.
Unfortunately the arrival of full fibre and transfer of its mobile services to EE plus non-availability of a Social Tariff in these times of rising costs means the end of the road for me. I also appreciate the discounted penalty for having to leave my currant contact early. Thank you.

Credit where it's due, I have just changed over from Plusnet to Connect Fibre's Social Tariff Full Fibre Broadband which has more than tripled the speed at a much lower overall cost.
Communication was great from start to finish and installation took less than 2 hours to get broadband fully up and running, with just the home phone needing to connect the following day.
So far so good but fingers crossed Connect Fibre will continue to provide excellent value & service for its customers.

Once a top rated savings provider with class-leading rates and excellent customer service but now sadly in decline. Might still be ok if you are lucky to live near a branch but customer service from India is hopeless.
Headline rates are still good but KR are now following others in frequently issuing new versions of the same savings account without telling customers whose rates reduce unless they constantly upgrade to the latest version. Bad enough but KR also make it impossible to move savings internally so cash must be withdrawn first then transferred back. Ridiculous.

Always use Checkatrade to find the best local trader and find the reviews generally helpful.
On the odd occasion where I have had issues they have been helpful in getting things resolved.
I recommend always insisting on a detailed quote, particularly where rubbish clearance after a job is involved. Plasterers and carpet fitters are notorious for leaving rubbish for the householder to dispose of.

Ordered a P-Shape Bath, Screen & Panel online from HeatandPlumb at a very competitive price including free delivery.
Like all my online purchases I started by checking the poor reviews and was a little worried as most seemed about delivery issues or broken / missing items.
I took a chance and pleased to say my items all arrived together on the appointed date, apparently undamaged with no missing bits. The delivery driver helped me move the items to a safe place where they sit awaiting fitting.
So an excellent experience for me. Thank you.

Purchased designer titanium frame glasses with tinted lenses for the a fraction of normal price. Then ordered 2 pairs of reading glasses for my wife, again bargain prices and every prescription spot on.
Just carefully check your frame size and make sure you enter prescription correctly and all should be fine.
Only slight downside is turnaround time so allow up to 3 weeks. The progress tracker is helpful though.

Oakmans (Northfield branch) just completed sale of our flat. Sale was agreed so quickly that I cannot comment on the marketing because none took place.

Mr.Clutch at Southend-on-Sea quoted less than half the average price to supply/fit a new exhaust back box for my Citroen Picasso. Only downside was a lead time of over a week as they were busy but booked in for today and contacted just after lunch to tell me it was ready for collection. No hard sell or pushing for extra work either.
Great service from Antonio & Mr,Clutch. Recommended.

Beware - Although excellent value and perfect for occasional users or an emergency phone Customer Service is non-existent. So if you have any queries, complaints or just want advice no chance! All forms of contact - phone, email, even Chat robot do not respond. Look in detail at all the 1 star reviews.
** UPDATE - After 3 days eventually managed to get someone to answer both phone & email, so solved my problem. If customer service was improved 1p Mobile would be the best out there for a light user.

Responded quickly to my enquiry and offered option of delivery or collection.
My architrave was prepared and ready for me to collect within an hour or so of placing the order.
Outstanding local service.

Check out reviews from those who tried to summon help following a breakdown and avoid wasting your money on this scam outfit.
When you need help they use every trick in the book to avoid responding or demand an up front £120 charge to do so.

Was a bit dubious about buying kitchen units online from a company a couple of hundred miles away but the range of units and sizes available plus good reviews convinced me.
All units delivered on time despite a couple of changes made just before production started and the two delivery men took great care unloading and checking everything was there.
Quality units exactly as ordered, nothing missing or damaged and even some Yorkshire goodies thrown in as a welcome pack. A geat experience -Thank you.

Couldn't access their portal to check arrangements so just had to trust they'd turn up.
Give the fitters their due, they phoned en-route and told me when they would arrive.
Cheerful fitters carried out the chip repair quickly but caused a couple of scratches on the screen when doing it then left a gadget behind, which they never returned to collect. OK overall but could be better.

Accurate description of the product. Best deal on price I could find and tracked delivery within 2 days by DPD.

Surprisingly good service. As a purchaser, I received friendly, prompt communication by phone and email and felt Sold UK were the perfect intermediary between buyer & seller and respective solicitors. First time using an online agency was a good one. Seller told me she was happy too.

Needed to change after Virgin's rip-off £2 daily PAYG rate cost me £2 for a two word text. Discovered 1p mobile - ideal for occasional phone/text users who rarely use data. Paid my £10 and all set up complete with my old number in a couple of days. Excellent.
