Awful Birthday Experience with Cary’s…

Awful Birthday Experience with Cary’s Manor Spa Day Package
I was really looking forward to a relaxing birthday treat today, but while the spa itself was enjoyable and quite calming, the restaurant experience completely ruined the day.
We arrived for our lunch, which was booked for 2:00 PM, and were left waiting five minutes before anyone even came to seat us. The welcome was practically nonexistent, and we were told to sit wherever we liked. However, after choosing a table, we were immediately informed that we couldn’t sit there because it was set up for afternoon tea (despite the restaurant being empty).
There was no drinks menu on the table, so I politely asked for one. The staff member informed me that our package included a choice of either an alcoholic or soft drink. Since I don’t drink alcohol, I asked for the menu to see which soft drinks were available. My simple request was met with a dirty look, and the menu was handed over reluctantly.
When our drinks arrived, we were served tap water without being asked. Because I don’t drink tap water for health reasons, I inquired if it was indeed tap water. The waitress reacted as though I had committed a crime—pausing, staring at me in disbelief, and not offering bottled water until I had to ask again. Even then, the request was met with visible irritation, and I felt judged throughout the interaction. When I asked if I could purchase an additional soft drink, I was told we were only entitled to one drink with our package. Although I offered to pay for more, the service was blunt and begrudging.
Things only got worse when it came to ordering our food. The waitress came back almost immediately and told us we didn’t have time to wait because the restaurant’s last order was at 2:05 PM. This was incredibly frustrating, given that our lunch reservation was for 2:00 PM and we had been left waiting to be seated. The manager, who was equally rude, made a point of checking his watch in front of us and told the waitress to at least get our starter order. Less than a minute after being given the menu, the waitress pressured us to decide.
The whole experience was absolutely abysmal and created such an uncomfortable and tense atmosphere that it ruined what should have been a special birthday celebration. The poor service and complete lack of hospitality left me feeling so anxious and disgusted that I couldn’t even finish the meal, despite it being pre-paid as part of the package my girlfriend had thoughtfully arranged for me. It was hands down the worst meal of my life, from start to finish.
Cary’s Manor Spa Day Package failed terribly. The spa may have been above average, but the dining experience was appalling and enough to ensure I won’t be coming back. I wouldn’t recommend this package to anyone, especially if it includes the Thai meal at the restaurant.

COWBOY DEALERSHIP

I purchased a Mercedes GLC63 number plate EX18 BZC from WJF motors 3 months ago..

The car cost £40,000 which I paid a £10,000 deposit for.

We agreed to have the car delivered to my address as the company is 200 miles + away. After receiving the car the engine light came on within 2 hours of having the vehicle.

I contacted WJF motors right away the instructed me to take the car to a local Mercedes garage. After inspection the car needed 40 hour of labour and £15,000 worth of work carried out, the company clearly sold me a faulty car and wiped the diagnostics before selling the vehicle.

They agreed to take the car back as they didn’t really have any other choice but they had the audacity to keep the £500 they charged me to bring the broken car down which is no longer in my possession. They also drove the car down which takes away one of the main reasons for paying for the delivery charge as you want to keep the mileage down on a luxury vehicle like the GLC 63 AMG.

Very poor business unprofessional through out.

CUSTOMERS BE AWARE IF YOU SEE A MERCEDES GLC 63 number plate EX18 BZC the car engine is damaged the timing chain is out and needs a lot of work doing. Lucky for me the engine light came on straight away and not when the warranty expires. If you are purchasing a car from this garage get a diagnostics check before.

AVOID AT ALL COST! AVOID INSURANCE WITH THE RAC AND SAINSBURYS INSURANCE NEW COMPANY NAME FOR MARKER STUDY IS WEST BAY!

The business is absolute shambles, I still have an ongoing claim since APR 2021! they paid me out for less then half of my damages after my car was vandalised! this has lead to me making a complaint with the ombudsman. They have been asked to settle the claim under a new claim and pay me compensation for the delay of handling the claim. I have been paid the compensation but I'm still waiting for a response from there engineers its been almost 8 weeks since I have sent the invoice over for the full damages to my car and I keep getting told its still under a review? now i have to make a complaint with the ombudsman for the delay of the claim once again! They will do anything in there powers to delay a claim and get out of paying a claim. make sure any customer checks who they're insurance underwriters are. THEY ARE NOW THE UNDERWRITERS OF SAINSBURYS INSURANCE AND RAC WHICH IS SHOCKING, THE REVIEW FROM THOUSANDS OF CUSTOMERS SPEAKS FOR ITSELF! THEY ARE ALSO NOW TRADING UNDER THE NAME OF WEST BAY! AVOID AT ALL COST! I WILL BE PURSUING MY CLAIM IF IM NOT PAID FOR THE FULL DAMAGES MY CAR RECCEIVED. I WONT REST UNTIL I GET JUSTICE FROM THIS SHAMBLES COMPANY!

POOR COMMUNICATION POOR SERVICE

Once again i find myself in the same situation with Marker Study 'WEST BAY' still waiting for a claim to be settled dating back to APRIL 2021.

There was a dispute over my claim as all the damages my car received were not compensated and only part of the damages, I have taken action and referred my complaint to the FOS. They have ordered marker study to settle under a new claim. I have sent an invoice over for the paid damages for a new engine which I had to pay for out of my own pocket. I've been told I would have a response almost two weeks ago with the new claim but yet again I find myself in the same situation even after its been referred to the FOS. Any excuse to delay the claim/payment. STOP MESSING AROUND I HAVE SENT THE INVOICE OVER 3 WEEKS AGO IT DOESNT TAKE THIS LONG TO REVIEW A DOCUMENT AND TO SETTLE A CLIAM ALONG WITH THE COMPENSATION.

Poor service poor communication!

Still waiting for my claim to be settled from APRIL 2021!

Ombudsman has contacted marker study to settle under a new claim! Which I’m disgusted by as my engine failure occurred in the same incident when it was vandalised and had parts stolen and dropped kerb side cracking the engine sumps.. still no contact or replies to my emails!!

Shambles of a company!

I’m still waiting on marker study to contact me to settle a claim from April 2021 they have been ordered by the ombudsman to make contact with me a week ago, still I have received no contact!!

MARKER STUDY HAVE CHANGED THERE NAME TO WEST BAY

THEY’RE SO BAD THEY HAVE CHANGED THERE NAME THEY ARE NOW TRADING UNDER WEST BAY SO PLEASE BE AWARE IF YOUR UNDER WRITER IS WEST BAY ITS THE SAME COMPANY AS MARKER STUDY!

IM STILL WAITING FOR A CLAIM TO BE SETTLED AS MARKER STUDY REFUSED TO PAY ME FOR THE DAMAGES OF MY ENGINE WHEN MY CAR WAS VANDALISED AND DROPPED KERB SIDE, THE BOTTOM OF MY ENGINE CRACKED AND OIL LEAKED WHEN STARTING THE CAR UP THE CAR CUT OUT AND WOULDN’T TURN ON AGAIN. THE DAMAGES TO THE CSR RESULTED IN ENGINE FAILURE.

MARKER STUDY (WEST BAY) TOOK 3 WEEKS TO REPLY TO MY EMAIL

DIDNT SUPPLY ME WITH A COURTESY CAR

THERE ENGINEER MARTIN LAUGHED AT ME DOWN THE PHONE AND SAID ITS MY FAULT FOR THE ENGINE FAILURE OR THE RECOVERY COMPANY.

I HAD NO COURTESY CAR/ I HAD TO PAY ALMOST 3K FOR STORING MY CAR.

THEY FINALLY PAID ME FOR THE STOLEN WHEELS 5 MONTHS LATER BUT STILL NOT THE ENGINE DAMAGES

I TOOK MY COMPLAINT TO THE OMBUDSMAN AND THEY OVER RULED THERE DECISION AND ORDERED THEM
TO PAY FOR THE ENGINE DAMAGES. AFTER MAKING CONTACT WITH MARKER STUDY (WEST BAY) THEY WERE INSISTENT ON SETTLING UNDER A NEW CLAIM AND NOT THE SAME CLAIM AS THEY ARE GOING TO TRY AND REFUSE TO PAY ME FOR THE ENGINE DAMAGES ONCE AGAIN!

I WAS MEANT TO HEAR FROM THEM THIS WEEK IN REGARDS TO SETTLING THE NEW CLAIM AND ONCE AGAIN NO CONTACT. MY CAR RECEIVED THE DAMAGES AND WAS VANDALISED IN APRIL 2021 ITS BEEN 15 MONTHS! SINCE THE INITAL INCIDENT!

AVOID MARKER STUDY (WEST BAY) AT ALL COST IF YOU HAVE A CAR ACCIDENT YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF AT LEAST 10K OUT OF POCKET LIKE MYSELF!

THERE MUST BE SOMETHING WE CAN ALL DO THEY CANT GET AWAY WITH THE MISHANDLING OF ALL THESE CLAIMS I SEE ON A DAILY/WEEKLY BASIS THERE ARE HUNDREDS/THOUSANDS THAT HAVE HAD A SIMILAR EXPERIENCES AS MINE!

WEST BAY ARE YOU GOING TO CALL ME AND SETTLE THE CLAIM FOR MY ENGINE, PUT THINGS RIGHT AND COMPENSATE THE FULL DAMAGES TO MY CAR LIKE YOU SHOULD HAVE 15 MONTHS AGO!!

CLAIM DISPUTE

The engineer from Marker study called me back, 3 months later after my initial claim. I was expecting an apology for abysmal service I have received, which I'm still paying for.

The engineer was so rude to me the same engineer which laughed down the phone to me and told me that the wheels being stolen from my car and being dropped on the floor resulting in a major oil leak is not the reason my engine won't turn back on and was trying to blame the mechanic who is currently storing my car for the engine fault and looking for excuses not to cover the damages for the engine.

the emgineer was demanding to speak to the mechanic who is currently storing my car. He was unprofessional and rude throughout the phone call.

He explained that the damages cause to my car and the engine cracking resulting in my cars engine to seize up is not the reason this happened to my car. If my car didn't have the wheels stolen and wasn't dropped on the floor there wouldn't be a hairline crack at the bottom of the engine which wouldn't of resulted in the engine to seize.

This company and how they continue to treat there customers is disgusting, I threatened to take legal actioned and the engineers laughed down the phone to me. Something needs to be done about this company. every customer experiencing what I'm experiencing needs take matters further with the (motor insurance - financial ombudsman )

In reply to your message i just want my car fixed or the settlement figure, not to be told i’m going to hear back from yourselves which i never do?

i’ve spoken to several different departments a number of times and my claim doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, it’s just going round in circles. It’s been almost 3 months now without a car, it’s taken me 14/15 weeks to actually speak to some one in the complaints department who was kind and helpful and is the first person that seems to have an interest and duty of care in getting my claim resolved, which was last week, the rest your employees have been rude and very unhelpful in regards to my claim, this is still not good enough this needs to be sorted asap please.

DISGRACE!

I've finally got a call back from one of the marker study engineers after almost 3 months waiting for my car to be fixed/settlement figure. I was spoken to so rudely and even laughed at by the engineers, the service I have received throughout my claim is disgusting;

1 poor communication

2 I was told my cars a write off, now its not a write off, now they're trying to get out of paying for my car which was vandalised road side and in the process my wheels were stolen and the engine was damaged due to the car being dropped on the floor.

3. it's taken 40 minutes every time to get through to the company, they havn't been returning my emails.

4. its taken 3 weeks to get the engineer's report with 0 contact.

5. not provided me with a courtesy car

6. they refused to compensate the storage fees of the garage storing my car, they're not covering temporary insurance cost.

This service is a disgrace I'm still left with a car with no wheels and a damaged engine.

Please check the underwriter of your insurance you don't want to go through the worry and stress i've been through, this company needs to be closed down!

NO CAR FOR 12 WEEKS!!!

where do I start with my ongoing claim.. its been almost 12 weeks since my car has been written off by marker study I've been left with no car/courtesy car, and I'm currently paying a £30 storage fee to the garage storing my car. I've had to pay for temporary insurance and pay for a hired car which they said they wont be compensating.


Its taken marker study 10 weeks to send an engineer out to inspect my car who confirmed the car is a write off. Since the inspection which was on the 10/06/2021 I've had no email or even a phone call to keep me updated on my claim, I've actually had to contact them several times, to be told they're still waiting on the report from the engineer!

I've sent 4/5 emails to the CLAIMS department which have been ignored and also to DANNY CHAPMAN who enforced an engineer to come out and inspect my car 10 weeks after it had been written off!

They continue to ignore my emails and calls. I'm very concerned and worried at this point, especially after reading the reviews on trust pilot. Just to add to this I'm actually still paying a monthly payment to this joke of a company!

JUST TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, I KNEW BY POSTING THIS ADD I WOULD FINALLY GET A RESPONSE FROM THE COMPANY.. WHICH WAS SENT TODAY. THEY HAVE EMAILED ME WITH A NUMBER/EMAIL ADDRESS TO SEND A COMPLAINT TOO. WITH NO RESPONSE OR REPLY TO WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MY VEHICLE WHICH WAS INSPECTED ON THE 10/06/2021 THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE OF A COMPANY. YOU NEED TO TAKE ACTION NOW MARKERSTUDY!!

Flannels sent me broken moschino…

Flannels sent me broken moschino tracksuit bottoms costing £140 + I’ve had poor response time and little if any help in regards to sorting the problem out. Will not be using there site again.
