I would recommend!
I bought the luxury advent calendar, which was advertised as ‘This limited edition advent box has 24 numbered gifts all beautifully wrapped and presented in one of our lovely white magnetic keepsake boxes for £149.99’. The parcel arrived well in time for December 1st, and I was very excited to see what wrapped luxury gifts awaited me! On 1st December, I opened my box to reveal my first gift, and I was a little disappointed to find a card marked as day 1. The card is an advent card with 24 little windows to open each day alongside my advent gifts, so I liked the thought the company put into choosing this. The little pictures behind the windows are also very cute. As lovely as the card is however, I was fully anticipating an actual wrapped gift, so I couldn’t shake the sense of disappointment after waiting a week to get started. The wrapping of all 23 gifts is really nice, and the box the advent came in is equally lovely and reusable.
I’m now more than half way through my advent, and overall I’ve been really impressed with the gifts. There does appear to be something to eat every second day (so far at least), which is a little too much for my preference - although the food items have all been tasty. The non-food items have been really well selected, and there is a variety to the items - which I really like.
All items that I’ve opened so far do have a luxury feel to them, and I’m excited to see what gifts are left for me to open. Overall, I would recommend buying the advent calendar if you’re thinking about it, but my advice to the company would be to either clearly state that there is a card for day 1, or change that to a wrapped gift, in order to avoid further disappointment.
