The company were amazing, understanding and truly wanted what was best for me. Despite being a difficult field currently to get into, the team were amazing at providing opportunities and were transparent throughout. I could not recommend them anymore.

I have had a positive experience with academics. They have been very helpful and professional with all my endeavours so far.
Lee Hardinges has been my go to consultant and has helped with securing places for me in schools.

Academics teaching, as an agency, are quite professional and organised. Apart from an early misunderstanding, with a certain individual, I’ve had good relations - especially with the Tower Hamlets team. I haven’t been as busy as I would like to be but Lee Hardinges at TH has been hugely supportive and always tries his best to keep you working. He is very respectful, friendly and aims to tailor schools and roles around your needs, which is a great trait in this business.

My consultant Lee Hardings made my experience in Academics a great one. I would like others to be as humble as Lee Hardings.

Been working for Academics this year. Been sent to lots of the loveliest schools. I always found Academics themselves friendly and helpful. Once I couldn’t find a parking space at my school that day. Their office was nearby and they moved one of their own cars so I could park there. Helps the school and myself. The checks were thorough and the company always professional. Highly recommend.

They’ve helped me so much in being able to find a job position. I’ve worked in multiple schools with great experiences. Especially Bradwell John with his Branch in london he’s been a great help and without his help i don’t think i would be able to have this much experience within the working sector.

Bradwell is always available to help and is very understanding.

DO NOT JOIN!!!! DISGRACEFUL! SARAH O Leary and YASMIN BOFFA. (I mean i would be mad if I looked that too) but let’s get to the point.

They PRESSURE you to take work that’s too far. THEY WILL NOT PAY YOU what they’re supposed to. They do EVERYTHING they can so pay you less. I met another teacher in a school that had been there for over a year and she said they haven't even paid her to scale!! Meaning she’s doing the exact same thing as every other teacher there and getting paid less.

They text you at 10pm or 11pm THEY HAVE NO respect for working hours.

Once I was sent into a job for a teaching cover. Sara did not send me a confirmation email until she knew I was at the school and couldn’t leave.

She then sent me the confirmation paying me way less, she knew I wasn’t happy with the rate. SO SHE WAITED TILL I GOT INTO THE SCHOOL and then sent me a confirmation. WHEN I CALLED HER SHE LAUGHED!!!!!!

So I proceeded to the head teachers office and let her know that SARA had misled me and had been deceptive about today assignment so for that reason I’m unable to finish my day off. She was so
Lovely and complete understood. (She even said if that was her she wouldn’t be to happy with that).

THEY ARE RUDE in the mornings and cop an attitude if you’re not available to work like I owe them something? lol. If I want to answer to someone I’ll get a permanent job you half wit.

I think someone needs to tell them that THE WHOLE POINT OF JOINING AN AGENCY IS SO WE!!! the teachers can pick and choose jobs that align with what we want. E.g. if I tell you I want a job on the moon you don’t call me until you find a job on the moon. That simple.

Anyway on another occasion YASMIN BOFFA put the phone down on me mid conversation because I wasn’t happy to do a trial week at a school she had picked . Lol I think she got a slap on the wrist for that. I thought I’d let her manager know about her lack of control over her emotions.

To conclude - agencies need to realise that the new generation of teachers are millennials and gen Z. We do not tolerate disrespect.

We as teachers can always find another job, however YOUR job in recruitment will cease to exist if you continue treating the new generation of teachers in this way. They’ll be no one left to recruit.

Long story short - GO ELSEWHERE.

Was ok at first, initial interview went well and one of the resources was very friendly and gave me a good reference, however after just barely 3 shifts they stopped contacting me, after any messages inquiring various types of work they ignored me. After calling, a rather pompous person refused to answer my questions about why they hadn't contacted me. Same person had same reply 'cant answer your question' 'don't know what to say'
