5 minuten te laat voor mijn afspraak, ik had gebeld om dit te melden. Ik ben slecht ter been. Mijn afspraak kon niet door gaan want de opticien was al gaan lunchen. Arrogante dame achter de balie, die geen enkele moeite nam om mij verder te helpen of om de afspraak te verplaatsen of ook maar iets in die richting. Wat een waardeloze service vestiging Maastricht!! Schaam je!

Ik heb een bril gekocht in de winkel in Antwerpen. Blijkt dat het montuur te groot is voor mij en niet deftig kan aangepast worden (neusbrug is te wijd). Ik had verwacht dat bij het passen en opmeten de winkelbediende mij hierop zou gewezen hebben. Zij zouden toch met kennis van zaken moeten kunnen inschatten of de aanpassing kan gebeuren of niet. Ik koop niet online om dit soort problemen te vermijden ... Heel jammer.

I went to store to get an eye-test and new glasses and sunglasses. Excellent experience in store and was really impressed by range of frames which was why I changed my opticians to ace and tate.

8 days after my visit I was told one of my frames weren't available and hadn't yet gone into production. They offered a switch to different frames but I called for a full refund. Customer service on the phone was great and refund being issued imminently which is good but I won't be returning to the brand given the whole experience was a waste of time, and two weeks after my appointment I have to start again.

Ich möchte dem Kund*innenservice, im besonderen Cilgia, ein großes Kompliment und Dankeschön aussprechen. Nachdem es bei mir Probleme mit dem Paketversand gab (lag nicht an Ace&Tate, sondern an GLS), habe ich den Service über WhatsApp kontaktiert und hatte eigentlich keine hohen Erwartungen. Jedoch wurde mein Anliegen umgehend und höchst professionell angenommen und mit viel persönlichem Einsatz eine Lösung für mich erzielt, sodass das Paket trotzdem noch angekommen ist. Dabei war die Kommunikation stets offen, sehr zuvorkommend und transparent. Ich wurde sogar nochmals extra kontaktiert für ein Update. So geht Kund*innenservice, ich war wirklich begeistert! Sonst Schreibe ich nie Reviews, aber das musste ich hier unbedingt einmal festhalten. Mein Dank gilt dem ganzen Team!

The Ace & Tate staff have always been really friendly whenever I’ve visited, and I genuinely like the style of their frames. But I’ve been quite disappointed with the quality of the lenses.
I bought two pairs: one pair of sunglasses and one pair of glasses with blue‑light protection; and ever since I got them, I’ve struggled to clean the lenses properly. Even if I wash them with water and soap and dry them with a clean, thin paper tissue, they immediately stain again. None of my usual glasses‑cleaning cloths seem to work either.
I own several other glasses and sunglasses, and I’ve never had this kind of issue before. I’ve also noticed that after wearing the blue‑light glasses for a longer period of time, my eyes start to feel a bit uncomfortable, which definitely shouldn’t happen.

Nadat ik mijn teleurstellende ervaring hier op Trustpilot had gedeeld heeft Ace & Tate contact met mij opgenomen en naast hun excuses hebben ze mij aangeboden dat ik de brillen mocht retourneren en mijn aankoopbedrag terug zou krijgen.
Super netjes en ik heb daarom mijn onderstaande review bijgesteld naar 5 sterren.

Ik heb voor de eerste keer bij ace & tate 2 brillen aangeschaft.
Bij het ophalen van de brillen is mij gemeld dat ik 30 dagen had om de brillen te proberen.
1 van de 2 brillen kijkt niet fijn en doet erg pijn op mijn neus waardoor ik deze niet kan dragen.
Doordat ik binnen die 30 dagen een operatie heb ondergaan was ik niet in staat om binnen de 30 dagen terug te komen.
Vandaag idd 13 dagen (door omstandigheden) te laat heb ik contact opgenomen met de winkel met dit probleem.
Kreeg als antwoord dat ik te laat was en dat er niks meer mogelijk als alleen met extra kosten.

Ik ben zeer teleurgesteld en niet tevreden over de service van Ace & Tate en niet alleen de manier maar ook de toon waarop het betreffende personeelslid erg klant onvriendelijk sprak tegen mij.

Ik had echt meer verwacht van Ace & Tate al was het maar dat ze evt iets konden aanpassen of tegemoet komen t.a.v. het comfort van de bril.
Erg jammer maar dit is wat mij betreft de eerste en de laatste keer Ace & Tate is mij als klant kwijt!

Favourite opticians, friendly and efficient service in front of house (sorry I don’t know your names yet). The eye test was the best I’ve had, very clean modern equipment. Zara made detailed notes and discussed them with me, and answered any questions I had knowledgeably.

I like the frames Ace and Tate offer, they are more continental in style than typical high street opticians but the prices are reasonable compared with some London or US import ‘boutique opticians’.

What really sells it for me is that they stock frames for large faces, and properly label these. The ‘Alfred Large’ style is wider than any other non-custom frames I’ve found, including the Moscot Lemtosh 52 which I thought were the widest made.

Great experience in store today in Oxford. The team were friendly and helpful. I had an eye test with Optometrist Zara who was excellent and gave me lots of advice and tips on general optical health. Really top notch service all round

Nachdem ich von 2 Brillen eine retourniert habe warte ich seit 3 Monaten auf die Erstattung. Ace and Tate behauptet überwiesen zu haben. Selbst nachdem ich nachgewiesen habe, dass keine Rückerstattung erfolgte keine Reaktion.

We kochten een zonnebril bij Ace & Tate op basis van het showroommodel in de winkel. De bril die we uiteindelijk meekregen bleek echter te verschillen: de pootjes waren dunner, de kleur van de glazen was anders en hij zat ook minder goed dan het model dat we hadden gepast. Om een onduidelijke reden mochten we het showroommodel niet meenemen. Dodgy.

moest een nieuwe bril hebben. Het montuur was lastig kiezen bij verschillende opticiens. Zag in The Mall in Leidschendam toevallig ACE & Tate. Hoewel niet heel veel monturen, althans minder dan bij de bekende ketens, had ik toch snel de juiste voor mij gevonden. Oogmeting werd snel geregeld en daarna 14 dagen wachten om de bril op te halen. Nog wel 2x terug geweest om bril ff na te stellen. Maar ook heel belangrijk, naast vriendelijke bediening, ook een vriendelijke prijs. Ongeveer de helft van wat ik altijd bij mijn reguliere opticien betaalde.

I had a measuring and chose my glasses all in a few hours. A week later, I received the finish product, and it was perfect. Beautiful glasses that feels as tho I have nothing on my face; just clear visibility. Top!

Slechte ervaring met terugbetaling. Drie keer gebeld, steeds ander verhaal. Nog geen geld ontvangen.
