My family have used this solicitors (formerly Brown & Corbishley) in Newcastle-under-Lyme for many years. I recently used them to put in place a Power of Attorney. Nothing was too much trouble. Sue Carroll was professional and attentive and the whole process was dealt with as quickly as it could have been. Can't fault this solicitors.

Company are enept when communicating key progress steps. I had better conversations with my mortgage provider. My ask was simple. I wished to add someone onto my current mortgage. 12 weeks on and they are yet to complete a land registry change. I called the office several times. No receptionist. When I finally get through to someone, they ask me to write an email as the person in charge of the case is not office based. After confirming that my emails are being ignored, the law firm confirms that no one else can update me on my case.

Customer service and communication skills need improving for this company.

The only reason why I chose the company was that they did my original mortgage which was completed within 9 weeks (end to end) with a generous amount of communication, empathy and signposting.

I am truly regretting using a valid source as it seems the company have changed in both experience and business etiquette.

From Start to finish of our Mortgage advise, ASR appears very approachable with good understanding of first buyer and will be glad to recommend whosoever might require the same support- Just Spot-On.

the service was poor and the information they sent out was incorrect had to keep going back and when I phoned to say I was disappointed I was told they would just close the file even though we had already paid and ended up not getting our wills or a refund

I am using this firm for the third time, and their service has been exceptional. Particularly how one of their staff members - Jamal Hussain- dealt with my recent buy-to-let property conveyancing involving a challenging lender. Jamal was extraordinarily patient and diligent, carrying me along in a protracted conveyancing process. It took almost four months to complete the sale and he was always calling, texting me to keep me up to date. On many occasions, the lender would ask for the same documents multiple times; he was patient to resend the documents require each time; he was always copying me into the email to keep me in the loop. I greatly appreciate his diligence and professionalism. I will make sure to recommend him without hesitation.

I had problems with the Newcastle-under-Lyme office. I would not recommend this firm.

Do not give your personal information to this agency. Junior staff data collect and pass on information with a view to defraud clients. DO NOT trust ASR. Mother-in-law was treated in the most despicable way by ASR. Not sure what they hoped to achieve, but I have withdrawn and requested all her personal data be destroyed. I will follow up on this as I wouldn't trust this company to do anything they promise.

ASR Advantage in Newcastle-under-Lyme handled our sale and purchase. From the initial quote to completion we received a very high standard of service. Debbie (Rosson) and Jo were superb throughout and went above and beyond to help us when things got quite a bit complicated on the purchase side. Very approachable, professional and caring solicitors and the costs were extremely reasonable given the excellent service. Would highly recommend them!

I have used asr solicitors (Brown & Corbishley) on several occasions and have been very pleased with their professionalism and quality of work, our last conveyance was particularly challenging with issues with the seller and his incompetent solicitors, Debbie Rosson who handled our conveyance worked extremely hard to keep the process on track, despite having to deal with very difficult circumstances, I would recommend ASR solicitors for any legal matter.

The purchase of our rental property all went smoothly until the end when the solicitor in question 'forgot' to request the funds into his account and instead it was going to come to me in the form of a cheque. It took several hours of phone calls and much stress from me to organise through the mortgage lender for the funds to be transfered into my account eventually, if i hadnt of done this the house sale wouldnt of gone through and would of been further delayed.When i questioned Kevin the solicitor he denied it was his fault and sat back and did nothing. I would not recommend him or use him again.

Very good professional service. Had to chase up and be proactive, however they where always quick to respond and never quibbled per any request.
