I reached out to Steve, the UK supplier for Alpha Stim after doing some research on the device. (I am sure I came across it many years ago but for some reason didn't try it then.)

He was so helpful and arranged for a device to be sent out to me. That was only just over a week ago and I have been experiencing nothing but positive results since.

It took me a few days to get to grips with it and to start noticing the benefits, although I could feel the calmness and peace in my mind from the first use.

I have tried many of these types of innovative products, because I love some of the ways technology is helping us with the many modern day challenges we are faced with. But this one is pretty unique!

I am naturopathic nutritionist and I have spent many years meditating as I lived as a celibate monk for a couple of years over 10 years ago. It is safe to say that I have never felt a device or anything that is able to have such a fast effect of calming the nervous system and giving a feeling of peace in the mind and the body as this.

This device has given me back my life. It works with no side effect what so ever. I have an intractable chronic pain condition that only strong addictive opiods could help relieve. I can now sit, which i couldn't do before without pain, and sleep.
It took me a while to figure out where to put the electrode patches, and I would urge those with chronic pain to persist, even though i know how easy it is to be discouraged when you have chronic pain. Now I have found the right positioning, it alleviates my pain to about 80%, which is huge.

The Alpha-Stim device works well for both symptoms of anxiety and depression if the instructions are closely followed. In my case it was money well spent and I now have a treatment which I can use which isn't medication and therefore no side effects.

Very good company. Purchased the Alpha Stim over a month ago. It definitely helps and I probably should use it more. Twice a day is better for me noticed my breathing improves right away which of course helps with relaxation. Definitely a positive experience.

I purchased my Alpha-stim 18 months ago to help with anxiety and long covid symptoms (palpitations, brain fog, light and sound sensitivity). i started on 1.5 strength for 40 mins every day, then changed to 2.5 strength for 40 mins 5 times a week after a couple of months which I’ve maintained. I didn’t get any immediate effects (apart from being a bit dizzy if you have it too powerful!) but after around 3-4 months I noticed a difference in my anxiety levels. I used to have hormonal related anxiety periods frequently and they have got fewer and fewer over the months. Now 18 months down the line they happen much less frequently and not as intense as they used to be. I didn’t notice any change my with long Covid symptoms from using the device but these have improved generally over time which is common.
I’d recommend the device for anxiety, just don’t expect immediate results and you have to use it consistently. It does eat batteries every couple of weeks, but i am using it for 40 mins each time.
The warranty is good, my power button has lifted a bit so i emailed customer services and they said if it affected the working order they would replace it.
I would buy it again in future which considering the cost shows how much i like it!

Bought a very expensive alpha-stim after some research, used it for 1/2 hour a day for a few months, definitely does nothing for insomnia. 0/10 for effectiveness.

Bought this for my teenage daughter who was suffering from severe anxiety. It has definitely helped. Works best when used regularly (daily or every other day) but is also an important thing in her tool box now for managing 'tough days'. Really helpful when used at night, before bed, to stop anxiety and panic. Would definitely recommend!

I have had long term difficulty in sleeping. Either I couldn't get to sleep or I fell asleep and then wake up at maybe 4:00am and can't get back to sleep. I have of course tried all the usual herbal and other remedies. They work for a night but are probably not good to use regularly
I have now used an Alpha-Stim last thing at night to help me get to sleep. What works best for me is to do a 20 minute Alpha-Stim programme while listening to a soothing meditation or soothing music. This works better for me than the Alpha-Stim on its own because silence tends to leave too much space for my thoughts to run wild.
And the results. I definitely sleep a lot better. I fall asleep most nights as soon the Alpha-Stim program has finished and often sleep through the night. I have also significantly reduced my usage of herbal sleep aids. I am happy to have the 20 minute Alpha-Stim programme as the regular last thing I do before sleep.
It took me some time to register that the Alpha-Stim was working. I gave up after a few weeks but then immediately noticed that my sleep deteriorated when not using the Alpha-Stim so now I use it almost every night.
At one point a newish set of ear clips broke. I contacted Microcurrent and they sent me a new set which seem to be completely fine.
Definitely recommended for anyone who has difficulty in getting to sleep or sleeping through the night

I use it for anxiety and to accompany meditation. It’s a great device and I’m glad I have it.

I have had a subtle improvement using the device which I use in the shoulder position

I had tried everything till I got this machine which has really helped me a lot as previous to that nothing worked over the 20 years I have had insomnia.

Bought many many years ago, and found it to be invaluable in helping with lumbar pain. Unfortunately, possibly due to its age it doesn’t have the same strength as it did originally.

I bought the Alpha Stim for anxiety a few years ago. I’ve tried many things for anxiety and this is the one that’s made the biggest difference.

I like the Alpha Stim Aid - it’s easy and comfortable to use. If I’ve had a stressful day I’ll use it for an hour of an evening and I then sleep well. I probably use it 2-3 times a week and find it a relaxing treatment. I no longer have the headaches that I used to have.

I have used this for two years , it is invaluable helping me to regain my mental health through tough times . For me it is so helpful with my anxiety and when I was feeling out of control .

I was on medication for an anxiety disorder for many years, so was hopeful after reading research about CES treatment and the Alpha-Stim specifically that I could care for myself without needing to return to medication. Alpha-Stim has helped me significantly, especially with anxiety and insomnia. I feel more alert after using it and I have more capacity for getting things done. Interactions with customer service have been very positive as well. Highly recommend.

It works partly for anixety I find. It helps by making you feel tired, so whilst it’s not as good to use during the day for me I find, it helps the edge when I’m in a panic moment / before I go to bed.

But unfortunately the pain side of the device with the “TENS” does not help my condition for chronic pain whatsoever! Which is a shame, but people will all have different experiences. It costs more as well so I was upset it didn’t help the pain levels.

But if you have long term anxiety this is a purchase I’d make just to help take the edge off.

The company itself are very helpful and answered all my questions in depth before I made the purchase as it is quite costly I found.

The Alpha-Stim is a fantastic product. Due to an autoimmune disease, I have constant pain and using this at least twice a day reduces that pain drastically. It helps you sleep too. I would thoroughly recommend it to those having pain, depression or difficulty sleeping.

Be aware the device and ear pieces are a little bit fragile so handle with care but well worth having.

The only difficulty now, for those living in the EU, is it can only be purchased from the UK or the USA so is subject to customs fees and delays.

excellent product the alpha-stim AID. I have used it for an hour a day for the last 4 years and it has dramatically reduced my anxiety. It has also helped improve my depression associated with bipolar disorder. Completely safe and no side effects. Expensive outlay but mine is still working fine despite over 2000 hrs of use. Highly recommend this device for helping anxiety and depression

The alpha -stim aid is a small but powerful device, effective the first time.
I have to use it at minimum power otherwise...I risk falling asleep. It is very important for the user to follow the instructions. I use it in the morning for anxiety and also when waking up early at night where it really works wonders!
