Dave was so helpful and sympathetic towards my situation. He really was kind and easy to talk to about all my stress and anxiety that my taxes has caused. Everyone that I have talked to from Anthem have all been real with me and were the kindest people I have ever talked with dealing with taxes. Lisa Marie B. was extremely helpful, honest, and professional. I was initially hesitant to make the call due to previous experiences with other companies, which required a $500 fee for an initial investigation. However, we completed a courtesy evaluation call with the IRS, and the outcome was favorable.

Lisa Marie B. also provided valuable suggestions on how to improve my current situation and prevent future tax issues.

They are all pressure salesmen. They quoted one price then aent a contract $800 more dollars. They try to tell you the irs will put a lein on you in the next few days. They flat out lie to you. Better of going with a tax lawyer or law firm

ANTHEM TAX SERVICES
SCAM ARTISTS... BE WARE AND DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM.
I paid them $15k as full payment. They discovered I owe a bit more to the IRS, so they demanded $26,800 more!!! After I laughed in their face, she said, ok let me apply for a subsidy of 25%. I told her I am not paying more, she said she applied for a 50% subsidy and now wants me to pay $10,800 more. The reason: ... the debt is higher and we have to do more work! I investigated it by reviewing the IRS rules and programs and discovered they do NOT need to do more work (as I suspected), the only difference was they had to apply for a different program, which is not more work... After I refused to pay $10,800, they reduced their demand to $5000. I told them I have to investigate what you are telling me about extra work.
AS SOON AS I SAID I AM GOING TO INVESITGATE YOUR RREPRESENTATIONS, THEY CANCELLED THE CONTRAC!!!
I guess they knew they were going to be found out and jumped ship.
I contacted an attorney who charged me $6000 from start to finish. Yes, I said an ATTORNEY with 30yrs experience was cheaper.
THEY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE, BE WARE.

STAY AWAY — ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE
I hired Anthem Tax in 2018 to resolve an IRS balance of $24,000. I was promised the issue would be handled and resolved within six months. Instead, seven years later, my tax debt has ballooned to $65,000, and I now have an IRS lien on my property. Anthem Tax did not resolve anything — they made everything dramatically worse.
This company lied, misled, delayed, and neglected my case from start to finish. I was assigned an “attorney” who, as far as I can tell, did not actually exist. Communication was almost nonexistent. When I asked for updates, they would demand yet another document — which I provided within 24 hours — and then completely ignore me for another six months. This cycle repeated for years.
For two full years, nothing was done. COVID became their excuse to do absolutely nothing, while interest and penalties continued to pile up. No urgency. No accountability. No results. Clearly, no one cared.
In 2022, after I posted publicly about my experience, Anthem Tax responded not by fixing the problem — but by hiring Todd Lewis, CEO of Reputation MD, to try to clean up their image and pressure me into removing my reviews. I cooperated because my only goal was to finally resolve my tax debt.
I was told my account was in CNC (Currently Not Collectible). What I was not told was that the IRS was preparing to place a lien on my home. I worked with Todd for a full year. No payment plan was ever established. Nothing was resolved. I was assured everything was “all set,” with the last communication in March 2023.
Fast forward to 2024 — I applied to refinance my home and discovered, for the first time, that a federal tax lien had been filed against my property.
In short:
I trusted Anthem Tax. That trust was a huge mistake.
They were incompetent, dishonest, and negligent. They took my money, made big promises, and did nothing while my situation spiraled out of control. I am now forced to hire yet another attorney to undo the damage they caused.
At this point, I would have been far better off handling the IRS myself.
It should be illegal for a company to take a client’s money, make guarantees, ignore the case for years, and leave the client in a far worse position than when they started.
If I could sue them for malpractice, I would.
Do not trust Anthem Tax.

Great experience with Anthem Tax Services. The team was professional, helpful, and made the entire tax process easy to understand.

Called Anthem Tax Services on a whim after ignoring IRS notices for months. Their free consultation was legit and that’s what we made me stick around with them. The representative spent 45 minutes reviewing my situation over the phone, explained options I didn't even know existed (like Currently Not Collectible), and only then did we talk next steps. Ended up signing on, and they resolved my $22k debt with a partial payment agreement. Wish more services started like this; it made the whole process feel less intimidating.

Adam G is a life savor. I was getting garnished and hadn’t done my taxes in ages. He rushed 5 years of returns and got the levy removed all in less than a month. Everyone at Anthem Tax was amazing.

This company communicates mostly when they're looking to add on services to get more money out of you. And they're quite aggressive and offensive when doing so. A rep contacted me about an "offer" that wasn't even valid since the statute of limitation had passed.

Anthem has literally done nothing except communicate what I owe; I could've done this myself. $3000+ dollars for services that are non existent. No one communicates in a timely fashion if at all and when they do, have no idea about your personal case.

This company is completely inadequate and do no care about their customers at all. My bank account was still levied and they weren't even aware. Save your money!

Spoke to Adam Gurr of Anthem Tax Services. My tax case is complicated involving both federal and state and because of that I couldn’t afford the fee. He stay on the phone for an extended time answering all my questions and gave other valuable information. He just wanted to help me even after I said I couldn’t afford it.

Jazmin Solis is my case manager and she is genuine, kind, patient and always responds in a timely manner. She never makes me feel rushed and allows me to ask numerous questions and explains many things I don’t understand.
