solicitor. He always kept me aware of the progress
of the sale , and responded quickly to any questions
I had with understandable legal advice.

Our house sale was handled smoothly and very professionally.
Communication was easy and prompt and we were kept up to date on a regular basis.
When the buyer’s solicitor made unreasonable requests - these were rejected firmly on our behalf and without hesitation.
We feel we got very good value for money and an excellent service at a very fair price.

I really appreciate the work by Nickiesha Carter, who acted on my behalf in the recent purchase of my new home. Communication and responsiveness were excellent. Nickiesha dealt efficiently with all parts involved, prepared a thorough report and went above and beyond to meet an important deadline. Nickiesha was always very tactful when dealing with personal information. I regard her work of the highest standard and I would not hesitate to trust her again.

Very disappointed. This company was selected by my property's freeholders' association, meaning I have no choice but to use them for a lease extension required for my sale. Unfortunately, their service has been painfully slow—over a month has passed, and they have yet to even start the process. Despite multiple follow-ups, I am still waiting for a response. Their delays are holding up my transaction and costing me money. If I had the choice, I would not use them.
I followed the process from the managing agent whom act for the freeholders. After submitting a complaint and proving the correspondence dates (they tried to deny there was any contact) rather than admitting their faults, one of the partners took an unashamed approach and tried to pass on the issue saying he would only now deal with my legal representative rather than an apology which would have gone some way to address the severe frustration and potential financial impact this situation has caused.

I also remember requesting a quotation from their over a year ago and their rates being much higher than the other comparisons I had found. So I am quite dumbfounded why they have been selected to be the sole agency for the freeholders association (bearing in mind I am one of the freeholders for the property)

Dependable and straightforward, solid, informative, there were some u-turns and complications on my part; of two aborted house sales which were navigated with good grace and some empathy which was a huge relief and of utter contrast to the previous solicitors I had used!

I have used one of Anthony Gold's solicitors as a co-trustee on a personal injury trust since 2014, and initially had no complaints at all on their service. Since 2020, however, bills have risen sharply and attention to detail appears to have collapsed in both their real estate and Court of Protection departments. Unfortunately, this has now reached the point where I would recommend strongly against using either.

In managing what should have been the relatively simple conveyancing of a flat sale in 2021, the process appeared to collapse entirely – to the point where the real estate agent Foxtons said the purchaser would not continue to purchase unless new conveyancing solicitors were hired. They noted that they had suffered similar problems with Anthony Gold on a previous sale. At this point I discharged Anthony Gold from conducting my conveyancing, but kept them as a trustee.

On a second flat sale last year, the cost of basic trustee services – in other words simply reading the file and signing documents – exceeded the cost of conveyancing itself at another firm. The process of retiring the Anthony Gold solicitor – like every recent item on activity including transferring money from the trust – has been riddled with basic errors, delays and long unanswered emails and phone calls.

The last straw has been discovering that the firm has failed to sign the retirement of trustee document despite clear instructions, requiring yet another series of emails and document transfers, as well as delays. I suspect the issue here is a lack of attention to detail by one or more of the paralegals – but either way, my advice would be to avoid using them when possible in either of these areas.

It's a pity, as everyone involved is very nice, and the firm had delivered previous good service. The current state of service, on the other hand, is simply unsustainable.

Worse experience ever. They literally leave you to your own devices once they have their money. I chose Anthony Gold as I suffer with mental health greatly. They have disappointed me Find a solicitor that actually cares and not just for the money

My mother and I worked with Umar Shaikh on a couple of legal items, and I cannot say enough positive things about him and our experience. Mr. Shaikh was reliable, extremely efficient, and communicated well. We expected that. What we didn't expect was how kind and thoughtful he would be, especially as my mother is not a native English speaker and is easily overwhelmed with paperwork.
