We have never felt this disappointed with any other service provider in our whole life. Bell trasnfered our services to API alarms. Poorest service and costumer care. Never abke to reach them.

Worst customer service you can ever think of. transfered from bell to Api. Took 2 months and cant still be able fo fix a litle technical issue. Im still trying for a month to cancel the account to no avail. Each time you call for cancellation, the agent tells you another story and give you another email address to write you. No response.

Terrible Service
Terrible. My equipment broke down about 5 months ago and this company recommended new equipment. I agreed (as there is no choice). Since this company took over from Bell Home Monitoring, the service has been abysmal. Four times alarm went off and just by closing the door, we managed to "convince" them that it is a false alarm. Calling them produced the (false) response that the alarm was disarmed. In addition, when I wanted to cancel the contract, they said I have to pay $900 for the equipment even though I did not ask for new equipment. I should have cancelled as soon as the new equipment was suggested. API as an alarm company is abysmal in service.
Since moving from Bell it's been terrible
Since moving from Bell, the service has been nonexistent. We have not been contacted regarding our service and are confident the system is not working as intended. We have attempted to contact customer support multiple times by phone and email, but have received no response.

What a disgusting company. They committed to 2 years without price increases when they took over from Bell. They have increased their prices twice in the last two months. They don’t answer emails or calls. I want to cancel if anyone knows the best way to do this please let me know.
Horrible service
Horrible service, staff are very unprofessional and hung up on me. My camera has not worked for 2 months, and still charging me. They tried selling me a more expensive camera. I have never had such poor service! Never use this company!

If I can give a minus 10 I will give a minus 10. My alarm has some sensor battery problems. Should be a piece of cake to fix for a alarm company. I waited for half an hour to get hold of a lady, and she kept me hold for over an hour until i had no choice to hang up. She kept saying she is checking. But checking what? She just got my name, home security password and home address. Why Bell sold the business to API? API is a scram.

They need a -10 star if i could. Nightmare began the second bell sold out to this scam company. First the charged to charge us twice then kept emailing saying payments were not going through. Meanwhile i kept responding, calling every day and telling them the camera stopped notifications on my bell iphone. No one responded for 2 months. And i was still getting charges . Finally got through to a person. Explained it all and they were nice and agreed it should be cancelled after we both tried to re add notifications to my phone. The drop down menu of providers did not include bell mobility so there was no way to even get notifications working and the camera was useless. They cancellee and refunding my one month. That was jan 7 2026. Today i have received an email saying i cant just cancell without paying the buy out for the remaining term which ends July 2026. I told this person everything, their response, we have cancelled your contract as of Feb 23 ,2026 and you will receive an invoice for the remainder of your contract. Obviously i am not paying this but this company is a scam and need to be shut down.

I was with BellHome and was satisfied. Now all of a sudden with API it is almost impossible to get in touch with them or to get a technician to come fix my front door lock.
My front door lock has been broken for two months now without anyone able to help. They have many different phone numbers and they all seem to have a separate system. None of my call history is recorded when I speak to one person to another.
When I do get a hold of a customer service representative they're very rude, unprofessional individuals who don't care at all. I spent countless hours on hold, eventually talk to someone and give me vague responses and tell me so send emails, which never received a response.
I've had two customer reps say a technician will call me back, they never did, and one who booked an apt, gave me a ticket number but the technician never showed.
Ive tried cancelling the service but they tell you to send an email, which gets ignored. I removed auto billing and then they contact me to tell me to pay but can't discuss anything else.
I'm at a loss. I hope they get sued. This is not okay.
Most pathetic service ever
Most pathetic service ever, we were with bell and bell sold service to API. They never answer phonecall. So we thought let alarm go off atleast they will reach us. The guy called over security panel asked our password even though we gave right password he said it's wrong and hang on us🤬
First off all it was right password but in any emergency or breaking situation shouldn't they have taken an action? If they think it's wrong password????? Where is the safety and security we are paying for???
It's hell to reach out to customer service every thing is stupid Ai recordings and answers. Our security cameras stopped working from last two days. What we suppose to do???

What is happening with the work that needs to be done at our house. I have been ghosted. This problem is from October. Last conversation I had after weeks of chasing was they will arrange for someone to come to our house again. That was weeks ago.
Can someone please settle this problem now. I have been paying for a service that's is incomplete. If you all have professionalism. You will have someone resolve this problem.

My wife and I are former Bell Home Security customers. Our nightmare began when API took over! In October, 2025 we attempted to change our form of payment. I tried emailing and calling with no success. In late November, 2025, we contacted the Better Business Bureau. They were able to discontinue service. However, in January, 2026, we received an invoice from API Alarm, stating we owed over $700 because we had an agreement with Bell and API bought Bell Home Security out and took over contracts. We really don't think anyone works at API. The have the worst customer service we have ever come across! If we could, we would rate this company a ZERO!

If I could give zero stars I would!! Transitioned from Bell security to API without being advised beforehand. I have been trying since Dec 23 (it’s Feb 11) to cancel. I have spoken with agents, sent multiple emails (per their instructions), and as other clients have said, continue to receive bills. I am at a complete loss for how to effing cancel the whole thing.

Customer Service basically non-existent
I am extremely disgusted by their lack of customer service.
My account was transferred to API when Bell sold to them.
Early December I had two service calls that, each, arrived 1 hour past the Service window. The issue was not resolved. API charged me a service charge of $125 + taxes. I was never charged by Bell if
I had a third service visit. He removed the Control Panel from the wall and connected it to a regular outlet. Since then, I get a Tamper warning every 30 minutes!! The technician told me that it was an electrical problem and that I must hire an electrician. The electrician tested everything and said the problem is with the transformer, not the wiring. You would think the technicians, in December, could have determined that!
Yesterday, I got a hold of "Customer Care" after almost 30 minutes on hold... I asked to be connected with their Receivables department to follow-up on a dispute. I was on hold for about 20 minutes and transferred to their voice-mail. I have not heard back, yet.
Today, I reached "Customer Care" and asked for Technical Support so that I could get the Control Panel returned to the wall installation, and I was on hold for a long time and was, again, transferred to a voice-mail system. I have, yet, to hear back from them.
