A thing happened,it got sorted. Zac came and fixed a door hinge. They get brittle, and break. so it's no biggie.

Aquila Heating did my boiler upgrade to new combi boiler on time and as stated 2 days work. The engineers/ fitters were professional friendly and tidy in every aspect of the work carried out. Any questions or advice I had they were there with answers or suggestions. A great job well done I am very pleased with it all.

We had our yearly boiler service done in early August.

The following day, 24 hours later, my daughter smelled gas in the boiler cupboard.

I lost my sense of smell 2 years ago, so had no idea.

I rang the emergency gas number and they came within an hour to make everything safe.

During this hour, I rang aquilla to tell them. All I got was, oh, ok, I will let the manager know and get him to call you.

Really?

We could have been gassed to death, or a gas explosion, and thats all they can do?

When Cadence arrived, they said the boiler was "peeing" gas out where it had not been tightened up properly.
They asked who did it. I told them. Apparently it was the second time that this had happened within a week, and was also the same engineer.

Wow.

Finally after leaving several messages with Aquilla, I got a phone call maybe 5pm.

I explained the situation, and was told the same engineer would come back to fix ASAP.
I did not want the same engineer anywhere near my house, and said so, but the same person turned up.

No apology or anything.

Yes, he did fix it, but this should not happen.
Especially twice in a week.

Cadent have reported to RIDDOR as a major safety concern.

I have still not received any further communication from Aquilla since that one phone call.

Needless to say, they will not be getting anywhere near my house again.

I value life too much.

Update 16th September:
In response to Aquillas reply regarding publicly stating what could be lethal errors.

Firstly, you made no attempt to contact me after the incident. Would I have heard anything from you had I not posted here?

I dont think so.

Secondly, do you not think its important to highlight issues on this kind of platform, or just cover it up?

I had my combi boiler replaced by Aquila, they did an excellent job. The engineers were brilliant, everything I asked for they did without a problem.

Excellent customer service. Efficient and knowledgable engineer. Did a good job with all my valves on the radiators. All ready for winter.

Aquila have installed our boiler and serviced it for the last 8 years. Their service has always been very efficient. We have recently had security lights installed by Aquila's electrical team, again superb service.

Prepared to price match charger with other companies. Josh the young man who fitted it was on time and was very polite very efficient and cared about my property .

These engineers are very experienced and waste no time in dealing with the problem, great customer service and will always be my first choice.

Communication, Surveying and Fitting all good , also the Cost . Taking away old boiler and all rubbish . Nice people too .
