I was squeezed in for the survey on a weekend, which they don’t usually work.

After the survey I had a phone call the same day with a detailed explanation of the priorities I needed to look at upon moving in.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing a survey.

We've used Alaur at ARC a couple of times now for home surveys (level 1 and level 2), and both reports have been very thorough. Communication throughout has been top quality, and the turnaround time from visiting the property to having the report in the inbox is amazing (within 2 working days on both instances). All-round excellent service for a competitive price. We would have no hesitation on using again.

I gave Alaur a call in regards to a property survey, and to my surprise after calling approx 10 surveyors, Alaur gave me all the answers I needed. After 45minutes on the phone I in fact didn’t go through with a survey as we both came to the conclusion that it wasn’t the necessary step. He gave genuine advice from a position of care rather than a sale. Exactly the type of surveyor you want, genuine, transparent and simply goes above and beyond. We may not have done business on this transaction but through such a service and good character, you’ve guaranteed all future business going to you.

We cannot recommend Alaur and his company enough for your surveying needs. He was efficient, prompt and the best thing was he was in contact with us throughout the process. Usually we’ve heard that surveyors do your homebuyers report and leave you to it. But Alaur was on hand to answer all our questions very promptly and explain things in a way we just understood straight away. His advice overall was so helpful so it aided us in understanding whether the property we were buying was right for us or not. really happy with his service and knowledge!

Alaur’s approach to home surveys is refreshing, as he doesn’t just send the survey report for the customer to digest and do their best to understand. He also calls with a personal run through of his key findings. This really helps the customer understand any risks and also what might need more urgent action on completion of the house purchase.

TLDR: hire this man!

We initially reached out to Alaur to request a quote for a survey on a property with a history of subsidence. He called us on the same day of our enquiry (a Sunday afternoon) to tell us *not* to hire him. He thought the property was no good and wanted to notify us before we spent money on a survey for a property that would only disappoint us - saved us a lot of money, time, and hassle.

Someone who calls you on their day off to tell you not to give them money is someone I trust to do a proper job, so when we found another property, we instructed Alaur without a second thought.

He provided a fast, thorough, and transparent service. He called us upon delivery of the report to talk us through his findings in detail, and offered to have further conversations if we had any questions on any of the details in the report.

I cannot recommend Arc Consultants enough, brilliant service.

ARC responded promptly to my enquiry for assistance with a building survey for an insurance claim that has been dragging on. Before committing to a professional service contract they discussed the next steps I should take and highlighted the shortfalls and responsibilities of the insurance company. This provided reassurance to me and the advice has enabled me to get the insurance company to progress matters. I have been quoted for the survey if it is needed in the future.
