This company is an absolute scam. They do not disclose their hourly rates nor admin fees until you already have the 'plumber' in your house. The rates are absurd but that is not even the issue.

The agreement they send (with hourly rates and admin charge e.g. 15% charge) says very clearly the tax is included but this is false. They also add a huge mark up to materials. The 'plumber' told us the materials cost £30 which already seems ridiculous for the small connector he installed, but we were charged £53 for this. On top of this, we were then charged 20% onto the hour fee, call out charge and admin fee. As well as this, the calculations on the invoice are incorrect so we were charged more than this, which unfortunately we did not notice until we had paid so that the plumber could leave. 20 minutes of basic work cost us over £500 during business hours, mid week.

I say 'plumber' as although he was a nice guy, he did not even think to check our boiler following a leak and he was very open about being self taught, including making critical mistakes in other people's houses.

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY - they are taking advantage of people in desperate situations with zero integrity nor communication skills and they are clearly violating the agreement you make before the work begins.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would honestly, don’t call them, my boiler had low pressure so I had no hot water or heating, which in this winter is very needed. The plumber who was lovely arrived in 40 mins and fixed it in less than 30 minutes, but the customer service over the phone was absolutely awful, for a job that took 30 minutes and where I had to tell the plumber what the error code meant and what it meant when it said de airing, I got charged £500 which came up to that because of the admin charge which was never disclosed, and is honestly unacceptable. This is broad daylight robbery, & when I spoke to the lady on the phone she was so rude and just kept repeating how i wouldn’t want to have a bad credit so I need to pay when I explained to her I think it was unfair I was getting charged so much for a job that took under 30 minutes. Please don’t call this company it’s not worth the amount they take from you. Bare in mind when I first called I asked how much the fee was and the women on the phone said it was a call out fee + whatever the fee was for the damage but failed to mention that they charge an admin fee just because the call the plumber to tell him he’s got a job and that’s it. Honestly unacceptable

I came across a clear emergency in the house of an elderly man who is hospitalised. Water was coming from the loft & had gone through the ceilings to the ground floor.
A Google search brought ASAP24/7 plumbers to the top.
Unfortunately!
They arrived in 50 minutes. It was a freezing day.
The plumber, found a split pipe in the loft & I gave the go ahead to repair it.
The plumber did not communicate with me apart from grunting & left it to his female companion who attempted to apologise for his rudeness when I commented on it.
The shock cane at the demand for payment!
Charges were bumped up by VAT for each portion plus an arbitrary add-on of 15% for ?? what ?
The total cost was a shocking and eye-watering £1.300!
I was cornered at the door and pressurised by the company voice on the phone (an East European lady) and the pair standing by the front door. The freezing rain didn't help.
These people are running a ripoff service to people in stressful panicked situations. They took advantage of me, an older lady, and the situation I was in. Not even my house!
They need to be investigated. And urgently.
The elderly gentleman who owns the house is still in hospital which. makes it worse. He is keen to reimburse me but that's not the point.

If I could give zero stars for this company, I would give zero stars. Basically, they have ripped off a 79-year-old woman for £1300 for one hours ‘work’ to attend for a leak in her elderly Brother‘s house whilst he was in hospital. The whole thing is outrageous. You must avoid this company at all costs. We are taking legal advice at the moment to see what recourse there is to take this matter further. Avoid avoid avoid.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was so poor that I feel a responsibility to document it clearly for others.

I called this service in the evening because our kitchen sink was blocked. With a young child in the house, we needed a prompt solution. On the phone I was told there would be a £59 emergency call-out fee, that a plumber would arrive within the hour, assess the situation, and then explain the costs.

The plumber arrived, briefly inspected the issue, then handed me his phone to enter my email address and said, “Check for an email.” That email contained the pricing — £339 per hour or part-hour, meaning that 1 hour and 1 minute would cost nearly £700. This information was not mentioned on the phone and only revealed once the plumber was already in my home.

At that point, feeling under pressure and reluctant to lose the £59 call-out fee, I accepted the terms, assuming it would be a straightforward job.

The work itself was slow and inefficient. The plumber’s tool became stuck in the pipes, leading them to cut the plastic waste pipe. A significant amount of time was then spent going back and forth to the van searching for parts. During this process, black, oily residue was splattered over the inside of our utility cabinet, leaving a visible mess.

As the work approached the third hour, we stopped the job due to escalating cost concerns. The final invoice came to £1,135.63.

Only at this stage does the billing structure become fully clear: a 15% “admin fee”, with 20% VAT applied on top of that admin fee, compounding the already extreme hourly rate. There is no clear pricing information on the website, and none was transparently communicated during the initial phone call.

This experience left me feeling pressured, misled, and taken advantage of. The pricing model appears deliberately designed to trap customers at a moment of urgency, revealing the true cost only once commitment feels unavoidable.

I would strongly advise others to seek services with clear, upfront pricing and to be extremely cautious before engaging this company.

This company seems to act as a middleman for independent plumbers.

Beware of their pricing structure!

The plumber they sent round was friendly and efficient and got the job done quickly (a blocked sink). He was in and out in 20 minutes maximum.

For this work I was billed a £49 emergency callout fee (even though I said it was not an emergency). I was then charged for a full hour's work: £299. Then on top of that they add a 15% "administration" fee. So it came to £480.24. Not even barristers charge that much for 15 minutes work.

I would recommend you stay clear of this company and it pricing and go for a plumber who charges a typical £40 - £50 an hour.

Lessons learned!

If I could give no star then I would. They con people by refusing to give you an idea of costs till the plumber is on site. I asked for a quote on the phone after detailing the issue with our toilet and was told that the call out was £59 they said i would get a quote from the plumber. The plumber was really nice and shocked that I had not been told the price. They wanted £299 per half an hour then when I refused the quote they said £349 per hour then when I challenged them again they then said £750. I told them to go. Their reasoning was it was the holidays! As far as I am aware NYE is not a holiday !! They had us in a difficult position but I rather they left and i ring around to find someone else. Never going to use them again.

Very dissatisfied and upset about service and cost. We needed an emergency plumber over the Christmas period and this one came up at the top of the google search.

They will not do any work or look at job until you confirm their terms and conditions via email which we did. However, they then refuse to leave your property until you have settled the bill even if you’re unhappy & dissatisfied with their service.

It took 3.5 hours for them to disconnect the timer on the boiler which was causing the problem. They didn’t fix the problem, they just got around it. I will be complaining to regulator and ombudsman about this company. Shocking. Steer clear.

Please, if using this company, check the costs carefully before agreeing to the work. If the work goes 1 minute into the next hour you will be charged the full hour, £279 plus VAT.
The guy who came out to us was genuinely nice and very helpful. We would have
recommend him to others if we hadn't been presented with an extortionate bill to fix a leaky toilet. It's not a reflection on him but on the company policy.

Dishonest, very expensive and only mention initial rate of £49 not including VAT + hourly rates are phenomenally high £258 per hour + some other charges. Never use their services. The customer service is extremely rude.

Very disappointing and misleading experience. I contacted ASAP 24/7 Plumbers after finding them at the top of Google when our toilet was blocked. I was told on the phone that they were local, could attend within an hour, and that the call-out charge was £49 inclusive of VAT, with pricing to be confirmed after inspection.
The plumber did not arrive within the stated time and was not from the local area. Once on site, I was then told the cost would be far higher, with a total of around £250 mentioned for what turned out to be a very simple job.
I declined the service due to the unexpected price change, but after discussion I still ended up paying £149 for the toilet to be unblocked using a plunger, which took approximately five minutes.
My concern is not the cost of plumbing work, but the lack of clear and consistent information about pricing and expectations. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again and would advise others to confirm all costs very clearly before agreeing to a visit.

Scammers. Avoid this company at all costs. They charged over £650 for what turned out to be just turning off my the water at the mains, lied about the work they did, pretended this work took time, lied when they said I’d still have hot water from my tank (I didn’t ) and initially double- charged me for VAT. I had to repeatedly call for that refund and felt they dodged my call. I could easily have tuned off the water at the mains myself but was led to believe the problem needed more complicated work, hence paying an extortionate amount. There was also lots of back and forth texting between the engineer and the company which made me uneasy and I wondered if they were agreeing ways to rip me off and lie to me- eg ‘she lives in a house therefore charge more’. A proper plumber came out 2 days later and confirmed the above plumbing points- I’d been told lies about the severity of the problem, about having access to water and the ‘work’ that had been done. I feel really stupid for falling for the scam. I expect to pay a higher rate for an emergency call out but this was extortionate and a complete rip off given all the lies and pretend work that I was charged for. Avoid!
