Do not bother.
Ordered LEV in good time.
Informed to collect.
Went to collect LEV and they closed the Travel Money counter. No Asda colleagues could aid. Staff shortage or sickness.
Called the call centre given, fobbed off, even asked me IF I could drive 30 miles to nearest open counter!
Had to urgently seek alternative money bureau.
It then took Asda to refund me MY money 10 working days! No apology and my written complaint was acknowledged BUT ignored.
PLEASE do not use Asda for your travel money!

Ordered $710. Only gave week day delivery slots. Ordered for the Monday. Got email receipt to confirm order and delivery. Got another email on the Friday to confirm Monday delivery. Went out on Saturday and came back on later that day, only to find it had been delivered. The envelope had not signing, just put through the door. The dog crewd up the envelope, luckily he only damaged the outside and ripped off a corner of a $50. My issue is we could have lost the whole amount, due to the not delivering when they said they would.
Questions
1. Why offer a deliver day, when your not going keep to it
2. Why send a confirmation of delivery, if its not going to be delivered
3. Why recorded delivery, when no signature taken.

Rung customer service, they showed little or no interest. So you want currency, use somebody that keeps to it promises. If no signatures are being taken, how can they tell that it was delivered to the correct address. Be warned, buy from someone who can be trusted with your hard earned money.

Long story short, avoid and use any other travel money bureau. Got no appology, compensation for their mistake (got mixed currency), they cost me money for traveling back and forth to bureau, time and nerves. I will NEVER EVER USE THEIR SERVICES AGAIN. I would rather pay less , but get what I need elsewhere.

if 1 star has to be the lowest option then its what i will give. if im being honest this is the worst time ive ever tried to get some travel money. two transactions approved from my bank of 808.65 declined by travelex/asda which have now left my bank into a pending transaction. the bank have given me the codes to give to travelex to cancel both for me to no avail. called all day yesterday absolutely useless customer services the chat bot isnt worth the log its written on, multiple phone calls with different staff, no replies to emails what a joke im over £1600 down 1 day before going on holiday. due to this its cost me 2200 pounds to get 900 euros sort it out asda-travelex

Asda travel money is disgusting ! They take pretty much £200 worth of your money for exchange . I also had a problem where the lady at the till didn't type in my email right at the Shoeburyness store , so I couldn't activate my card . Further to this I rang customer service spoke to one women who couldn't speak a word of English and she said she had changed email and id be able to log on . When I ended phone I couldn't log on . Rang again spoke to another women who couldn't speak English and she said the other lady had changed it to a complete different email . Absolute messers

Not the best service, lacking and actually not as cheap as you expect, make sure you shop around

Was sold it as it was easy to top up on the app any time any where. I’m currently abroad and can’t top it up, I’ve had to ring my bank and ring Asda twice (hung up the first time) to then find I was being charged a less rate on the phone even though it’s their technical error was online 1.17 on the phone 1.15. Very unhappy. I dread to think how much I’ve spent on phone calls abroad.

Great service from Asda Travel Money, which was ordered and delivered within 2 days by Royal Mail Special Delivery. I was a bit concerned due to the poor reviews on Trustpilot, but they had the best exchange rate for euros at the time. Greatful also for the mix of euro notes. Thank you.

I ordered £400 worth of Mexican Pesos.
They did not arrive, so I emailed them asking for some more information.
They wrongly informed me that the money had been delivered.
After a lot of stress, involving asking neighbors, post office, etc the money finally arrived two days later.
When I asked for the tracking number of my money, they said that they were unable to provide me with one. Which is very untrustworthy.
I understand that mistakes can happen. But their lack of support during the this was very unprofessional, and the fact that they wrongly informed me the parcel was delivered caused me a great deal of emotional distress.
In order to resolve the matter, I would have had to obtain a crime reference number from the police, fill out a long form, and wait up to six weeks for the matter to be resolved.
I will never trust this organization for money matters ever again.
When I return from my holiday, I am going to write a letter of complaint, and am considering filing suit for misrepresentation leading to emotional distress.
Fortunately for me, my parcil did arrive... 48 hours after they confirmed it had been delivered via XP1 signature.

Their general dishonesty and lack of support has caused me a great deal of anguish, and severely tainted my trust in them.

Others might not be as lucky as I was, so please don't risk doing business with Asda Travel. It's just not worth it.

this is the first time I encountered a shi**y travel insurance. I was on the visa center when I realized my travel insurance policy doesn't have my name and my partner's name written on it . Just the travel dates and that it's for a couple. I called them while i was there, on hold for 20-30mins . Never got hold of anyone. I sent an email, they've been going around the whole topic with different chat representatives answering my concerns. I used to be a chat agent and I know you can see the previous emails so that's a shi**y thing to do. I just went online and bought another policy so i can submit it to the visa center. I am not gonna stress myself over it but i will definitely not come back. Guys, just DON't BUY THEIR TRAVEL INSURANCE!!!

I only asked for them to send me the copy of my policy with our names on it, was that so hard even if I provided my policy number already? 😒

I wouldn't recommend this company to my enemies if I had any.

Worst possible customer service, waiting for a refund for more than 8 months, being thrown from one rep to another.

I just don't understand how they can operate the way that they do. Shameful.

Asda Travel have auto-renewed my policy for the last 2 years without my noticing it on my credit card bill. I have had no email or mail notifying me of the renewal despite their policy stating clearly that they will notify before renewing. Fortunately I have now noticed and cancelled. The first and second renewals were over £200 when the original payment was £90 - so they are clearly doubling it hoping you don't notice for 14 days. Do not use.

Similar to lots of other travellers had paid for annual insurance with Asda, but when I had to claim in March 2020 for cancellation due to Covid was eventually declined despite policy saying clearly.that I was covered. Still waiting resolution to my complaints 6 months later. Now with the Ombudsman which is also a lengthy process due to volume of work.

Would like to give less than 0 stars. Trying to claim for cancellation of ski trip March 2020 (Covid). Very poor communication, awful response times, numerous errors in record keeping resulting in ‘ incorrect’ decision to decline settlement of claim after 9 months. Still awaiting appeal for review and formal complaint high they say will be delayed by up to 12weeks.
Looks like they are deliberately trying to place obstacles in the way to discourage claims.

Made a Claim to Asda Travel Insurance due to Covid.Followed there instructions and sent all relevant paperwork to them by Registered Post. They had just closed down due to Covid. They had No Arrangements in place to pick Claims up from offices so four weeks later finding this out I sent Claim by email. Seven weeks after original paperwork sent they opened claim. SEVEN Months later, after being told twice offer of settlement would be sent and third time it was being Prioritized, we are still waiting!. Shameful Company. Please Avoid.

Never again will I use such a rubbish company. Shameful service everytime I rang them to follow up on complaint

Fully genuine claim for holiday cancellation of 650 pounds. Assessed claim value 0 pounds. I have initiated a complaint with Asda. I will take them to the Ombudsman.
