After being told initially it would take 2 weeks, I was without my car for 4 weeks and 2 days. I had to call to get updates throughout, so not kept informed. My contact Elliot was always friendly and chatty, just a shame it was me who do the chasing. I had hoped being a gearbox specialist there would not be supply delays but there was.

Elliot was on point throughout. On first contact he explained clearly everything I needed to know. He was friendly and helpful. Rang two days after my car was delivered back to me to see if everything was to my satisfaction. Really good service. Thank you ASR and thank you Elliot.

A very easy company to deal with. The same representative dealt with my enquiries and updates, which is great, as you don't have to keep repeating what needs to be said.
I was having work done through an extremely uncooperative warranty company and sonny , who was the young man dealing with myself ,made everything as smooth as he possibly could. Keeping me updated, and sending warranty requirements directly to them. He was always polite and helpful.

Helpful introduction to the forthcoming work on my car. Rocky and Sonny both very helpful and informative, keeping me updated on the progress. I had the same response from two colleagues both polite. The result of rebuild is perfect so smooth including new clutch

The only problem is that it would be nice for updates on progress,but if you phone the staff are happy to answer any questions with a friendly manner

Elliot was amazing.. he delivered very difficult information to me in such a reassuring way, was patient and understanding as I was upset about how much this repair was costing me as I’d not long bought this car through a private sale.
He explained everything including why snd how it would be done. The work was a high standard although my car came back dirty ! However I’m very glad I used this company and not a cheaper’cowboy’ which I was offered somewhere else!

We have a ford transit connect and the gearbox went. Nobody would touch our gearbox and the garages that said they could "take a look" didn't fill us with confidence. I stumbled across ASR and they were fantastic (elliot) in particular. Soon as I mentioned the type of van we had, Elliot explained to me in detail the potential issues and ball park figure to help us plan for the expense of its repair. The process for dealing with our issue was explained at length and confirmed via email. Our van was picked up and dropped off for free! Considering they are a specialist their prices are very reasonable.
They have been nothing but helpful, and transparent throughout the whole process and we had our van picked up fixed and back within a week and a half. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.
Massive thank you to Elliot for explaining everything to us, being open and transparent and generally giving us confidence that a garage knew exactly what they were doing with our van. I wish more garages were as open and transparent as yourselves. Excellent service. Couldn't fault a single thing.

All information given was very helpful, and led to us using the company. We had a very good experience, the car was collected, delivered, and we were given updates on the progress through out.

I picked up on 1st Automatic gearbox repair/replace company on Google....I left email last night and this morning Elliott contacted I am based in Scotland but company was English based....normally they would say they couldn't help as too far away....but Elliott went through the diagnostics of my automatic gearbox and explained possible problems and solutions he was very helpful...I will contact a Scottish based specialist but with a little bit more knowledge than before 10/10 cheers Paddy

EDITED: Asked ASR for a quote to put some solenoids in our Peugeot 207CC automatic gearbox - A common issue on these type of gearbox. A pair of solenoids for one of these should cost £100-£150 and a job like this normally 3 hours labour. 'Jay' told me that they would have to change the Valve Body as it was likely warped, despite us not having any other symptoms to indicate this (i.e. slipping gears etc). Told that total cost likely to be £3000-£3500!! A brand new gearbox wouldn't cost that much. However, a couple of weeks later a gentleman from ASR named James called me back, aplogising on behalf of Jay (due to his lack of experience/knowledge on this type of gearbox) and offering to do the job for us at a reasonable cost (£200-£300). Unfortunately, we had already dealt with the issue. My opinion of ASR was reversed by this intervention, so I'd approach them again in the future if I required similar services.

From when I first contacted them for a quote the service I received was very friendly and efficient. They took time to explain what work needed to be carried out, gave me a clear quote and kept me informed of progress whilst my car was in for repair.

Had my gear box rebuilt and repaired, wasn’t happy with it from the beginning i’ll left a review a manager got in contact with me to take the review down and they will look at my Vehicle.they picked up my vehicle and plug the diagnostic kit. Literally that’s all they did is look at my vehicle. Yeah my vehicle is still having symptom’s slipping in the gears. It’s not reacting right. the manager said it was down to some maintenance on the engine so I had all the maintenance done and it’s still not the same talk converter is loud. Clutch is slipping in the first gears. I wouldn’t recommend this company to fix anybody’s automatic gearbox because they will make it worse. My invoice was £5386 and I’m very disappointed all they will do we just take your money.

Very happy with the service, speed at which the work was carried out and all in the prince range stated when we first spoke. The communication was good all the way through the process.

This is the best service I have had from any company in the UK. Elliot was informative about timelines and potential costs and explained everything to me. Car was picked up and delivered back on time and the drivers were friendly and helpful. Luckily my gearbox was not damaged and the analysis allowed me to pursue other avenues. Chris and his team are very professional, kind, and friendly. They fixed my car very quickly, with no hidden costs, and always kept me updated on the status of the repair. They sent a platform to take the car, and after repairs, they sent it back on the platform as well. They are 10 stars, not 5!

What a fantastic company! I spoke to Rockie, so patient with explanations and dealing with numerous queries from
Warrantywise insurance, who didn’t pay out. The car was collected, dropped back and works brilliantly. A follow on call from Rockie to check up on the car a week later. I’d forgotten just how good customer service can be. Thank you to a wonderful company and I’d highly recommend.

Absolute scam. Do not ever use them, because they will rip you off. They will charge you 3-4 times more than cost of the fair repair prices. In the invoice you will be amazed to see that 5 liters of gear oil costs £300.
