American citizen buying Symbicort for Asthma control, and my insurance rejects covering because it is $150, this is crazy because I pay $40 in Malaysia for 100% the same exact thing. They are definitely screwing over and taking advantages of Americans.

As the sole manufacturer and provider of the drug Olaparib in the UK, this profiteering company charges cancer patients on private prescriptions, and presumably the NHS too, £2,317.50 for a week's supply of Olaparib cancer drug when cancer patients in India can purchase the same drug under the Zydus brand for around £70 for a month's supply!

What possible justification can AstraZeneca offer to cancer patients and the NHS in bleeding them and the NHS dry by profiteering on such a scale? There is absolutely no justification for such an outrageously high price on the basis of high R&D costs because AstraZeneca had sod-all to do with the research as it was it was Professor Sir Steve Jackson and his team at Cambridge University who discovered/formulated Olaparib and carried out the patient trials with zero input from this sham of a company. I daresay that were one to carry out further research on this matter, it will show that most of the drugs marketed by this company were discovered/formulated by independent research groups. All this and the cost to the NHS makes one wonder why it is that the NHS does not cast its net wider and at least pursue the possibility of purchasing the same drugs from Asian pharmaceuticals. How can AstraZeneca possibly justify profiteering on this level at the expense of cancer patients desperate to spend a bit more time with their loved ones is beyond understanding. But AstraZeneca can and does.

It also makes one wonder who it is in the NHS is responsible for ignoring the lower price drug available worldwide and allows AstraZenica to bleed the hard pressed NHS dry.

I’ve had two doses of the Astrazeneca COVID-19 vaccine frankly it’s been absolutely faultless no side-effects, no pain in the arm to speak of (slight in the first zero on the second) and it’s been such a hasslefree experience I really can’t understand half the things I hear from people about the concerns. There has to be some degree of risk, everything in life is potentially risky and I feel that what this pharmaceutical company has achieved has been absolutely exceptional. I look at it a bit like when I go out on my motorcycle there’s always an element of chance something bad could occur but you accept a degree of risk. The vaccine from AZ Is the same compared to the risk of contracting COVID-19 it is so minimal it doesn’t even bear thinking about. I know so many people who have had this vaccine and like me they’ve had no problem at all, my partner hasn’t had any issues and neither have four or five close friends so if I had to select a vaccine this would undoubtably be the one. Why various European countries are incapable of seeing the good this company is doing and cannot look at the rewards versus the risk equation is completely beyond me.

Vanwege mijn leeftijd, 60 jaar op 14 april mijn eerste Astrazeneca prik gehad.
's Avonds begon de spierpijn en vermoeidheid toe te slaan.
Niet heftig, maar milde klachten.
De volgende dag kreeg ik ook pijn en een rode warme plek waar ik geprikt was.
Na een dag of 4 dacht ik dat het steeds beter ging maar op dag 5 toch weer moe en spierpijn in mijn schouders en nek.
Ook af en toe wat duizelig en een licht misselijk gevoel.
Meer last van mijn darmen ( heb ook ziekte van Crohn).

Nu, dag 8 nog steeds niet weer 100% de oude.
Mijn bloedsuikerspiegel is licht verhoogd (diabetes).
En de prikplek is nog rood gezwollen.

Maar, ondanks de bijwerkingen wel blij de vaccinatie te hebben gehad maar hoop dat de tweede prik minder bijwerkingen geeft.
