I bought a book called autobiography of a yogi on 22 April 2024 but the is still uploading until today and the worst part is I was charged twice first was when purchased the book and second time was following month 22 of may 2024...it looks like a scam...I will change my card before they charge me for third time

Fraudulently charges your credit card
This company performed an unauthorised charge on my card. They advertised the book 'Psychopath Free' for 9.95USD and I purchased the book on 28 April. They decided to conveniently charge me again on 20 May claiming I purchased the book on a "pass". I never signed up for anything like that nor did I authorise to be signed up for such a thing. I will be raising a dispute with my bank as this is a fraudulent charge.

It all works as advertised. I haven't yet done a deep dive into their collection, but I easily found what I was looking for. Whenever I've had to lean on support for app or account admin questions, they have been prompt and on the money! I'm very happy!

The Audiobookstore team has been spectacular
The Audiobookstore team has been spectacular- very responsive and personable! The app has a ton of titles and if I come across a title that I wish they had but don't, I shoot them am email and they try to get it. I listen to multiple books a week and they truly stand by their Love it Guarantee- if I end up buying a title that I start listening to and really don't like it they take it back and I get a different book. That's really important to me because as an audiobook you can't read a few sections to get a feel for the boom like you can when you're at an old style bookstore buying a paperback. I totally love this app! I listen during my 45 min commute to work, and sometimes while I'm at work, and even at bedtime instead of watching TV! I am finally able to soak in all the books I've never had the time to read by using the audio app to listen to them!

We’d love to help you, but we are unable to locate your account, and cannot find any record of you contacting our customer care team. It may be that your experience was with another audiobook service.
Getting my account deleted was a time waster
This company operates a web user interface and app that have subpar features in regard to account management and audio playback.
I had to contact a customer service representative to get my credit card removed and then I had to spend a additional time and make multiple requests to get my account deleted with a CSR indicating they had to "talk to management" several times. Finally, I was able to get it deleted via an email dialogue.
There app also lost track of where I left off in a book on several occasions and features such as playback speed [only .5 increments] are very limited. It also seems to stop downloading books on my phone when my screen is not on.

I want to assure you that our team promptly attended to this matter by canceling your subscription and ensuring that you will not incur any further charges in the subsequent months.
Regarding your additional request to expunge your card details from our system, our team requested a confirmation email from you for documentation purposes. Upon receipt of your email, we promptly removed your card details from our system and subsequently provided confirmation of the action taken.
Addressing the concerns you raised regarding the functionality of our app, please allow me to address each point individually:
1. Playback speed limitations: You can conveniently adjust the playback speed directly on the player screen using the gear icon in the upper right, then choose “Change Playback Speed” to just between 0.5x and 2x.
2. Book progress tracking issues: While we have not received similar reports from other users, we are keen to resolve any anomalies you’ve experienced. Kindly provide additional details regarding these instances by reaching out to us via email at customercare@audiobookstore.com.
3. Download stops while the screen is off: About a week ago we introduced an updated version of our application to address this issue. To benefit from these enhancements, we encourage you to install the latest version available on the Google Play Store.
Should you require further assistance or have any additional queries, please do not hesitate to contact us. We remain committed to providing you with an optimal user experience and addressing any concerns you may have.
