I wish I could give less than 1 star to them.
Useless system and pathetic service. Simple operation of uploading documents can take weeks and then processing time is forever.
Never Ever using this Super fund. I just hope with this review they dont add another week to my rollover.

I have found them to always be polite and courtesy & helpful, I manage my husbands and nephews super over the phone, after being identified, so easy to deal with, unlike some other past "Superanuation's" who just refuse to discuss with me anything, even though the member is beside me. An extremely happy client.

I want to change my name there but It has been 2 months they could not fix it and always ask me stupid question. The staff is very bad service and less experience.

It's been 19 days since we requested super rollover to smsf through myGov - corrupt system at AustralianSuper is sitting on the file and not moving for one reason or the other - they simply can't process it while staring at our information on their screens. Simply INSANE 😡😡😡😡😡

Well this is no surprise to me. I have actually given up for the last year and a half to correct the spelling of my name. I joined in 1999, through my work.
I only noticed in June 2025 that instead of an "a" in my name they wrote an "o". In the 26 years at my job, at the time my work admin has never spelt my name incorrectly.
So this was obviously an error by the data entry people at Australian Super.
So as obvious that it is, I thought that they would admit to their mistake and correct it. I sent a statutory declaration stating who I am with all the details of the error but still they haven't fixed it. After all, their mistake so they should fix it But no, I still get the statements In the wrong name. Absolutely useless!

My previous Australian Super withdrawals were in my bank account within 3 days.
Since 2025, it now takes at least 14 days to receive a withdrawal amount. It also requires repeated phone calls about why the withdrawal is delayed. Annoyingly, the same issue is presented by multiple AS staff, who mention that they are reading through recent actions on your matter from their computer records (e.g., "You have not provided a certain detail.") However, the application cannot be submitted without that information being provided, yet they keep saying this is the reason the withdrawal is delayed...

It has been a total nightmare dealing with them to get my fund rolled over. Delay after constant delay and endless excuses to not process my request. They never communicate you have to call them just to find out they delayed it again. Massive regret not choosing #m𝗈netian# for a seamless rollover instead. Awfully dismal customer experience.

AustralianSuper’s level of negligence and incompetence is genuinely breathtaking. For three exhausting weeks, I have been trapped in a administrative nightmare just trying to execute a standard rollover into my SMSF. They cannot even manage the basic task of entering my details correctly.

Every single phone call puts me in touch with completely uneducated, utterly useless staff who clearly have no grasp of the rollover process. I have had to lodge five separate formal complaints—one for every single call made—and yet the exact same mistakes are repeated every single time. It is a endless wall of apathy and excuses.

At this point, it feels like calculated sabotage. The continuous, deliberate-feeling delays are putting a time-sensitive property settlement at immediate risk of falling through. It feels less like customer service and more like a desperate tactic to stall and hold my own money hostage.

Absolute disgrace of an organisation. Avoid at all costs.

super performance was below average.
added premium insurance by default.
when I tried to leave, they have asked for certified identity docs which they kept knocking back making excuses.

Worst fund ever to deal. It took me 2 years to changed my name back to my maiden name after they kept telling me I had to supply different documents and kept making it so hard. Now I'm trying to leave them and again they are making it so difficult and have delayed the process time and time again.
I would go with a different fund all together. Don't spend time with Australian Super.

Two matters. Went to increase my life insurance at age 60. Have as many aussies would share have picked up a few miles and issues, diagnosed cardiac issues, stent, pacemaker, high blood pressure. Co Branding with TAL. TAL, 4 MONTHS! later, after full disclosure cant find any documents sent from cardiology, and cant return calls, or respond to emails? Then after a complaint ring me, like it was a bother, but apparentily im uninsurable. Found insurance else where within an hour. 4 months to deny = 4 months of premiums, absolute disgrace whilst Aussie Super distances themselves from their insurer. Its their choice to insure, 4 months to make a decision has wasted my time and the time of the medical fraternity. From my complaint im assured that they would have paid out in the event of my death $9k? Sure you would.
Then setting up a TTR account that according to their website takes about 5 days? Well its been 3 weeks, Aussie cant find documents sent, it appears default lines from staff are that members havent processed paperwork correctly. Having corrected them of this i was told an official investigation would be commenced! Oh Goodie somethings happening! No, 3 days later still nothing, no calls, no emails.
Im bailing, get out people. The most unaccountable bunch of baffoons managing your money.
Now as i start roll out processes watch this space, charges for a TTR account that was never set up, access to my funds denied.
Something is clearly wrong here and once what was a trusted brand should be viewed with caution. "Cheap fees, S#.Service.

Ridiculous customer service
AI would be better then the representative there , no empathy understanding customer situation and position no updates will just give standard response and you won’t go anywhere with your request until you call 100 times no option to escalate and get resolution. Never recommending Australian superfund

Australian Super took three months to respond to my complaint regarding my being told by their call takers that I had to withdraw my money into a bank account, instead of rolling the money over. This had the consequence that I withdrew money from superannuation that I could not recontribute because of the non-concession superannuation contribution caps. Australian Super caused delays, and has in place a barrier to giving information to clients regarding their own accounts. Call takers will tell you that they can't give you your own account information, as the company has set up 'Chinese walls' to prevent giving the client any information, including regarding the progress of a complaint. I have moved all of my money out of Australian Super. There is no substantive customer service at all.

The department of communities paid me 15k in wages in December 2025 (five years after I quit) and they didn't pay any superannuation. Australian super couldn't give a dam and didn't help me when I asked, nor did the WA ombudsman, Labor relations, the industrial relations or the ATO. The department of local government industry regulation and safety who investigated me instead of the department of communities refusing to pay me also ignored the issue. I had to complain to the tax Ombudsman to get the department of communities investigated for unpaid wages and superannuation. The department of communities are a government department, why are government departments allowed to get away with ripping off their staff wages is a great question but why Australian super don't care and didn't help is an ethical problem

Terrible company,and service I ever saw.when you need their services you will know.

I lost over $500 in 2 days after transferring my whole super balance from REST to AustralianSuper. I really regret moving and wish I had stayed with REST. This company are obviously terrible when it comes to investment & growth strategies and they don't care when their clients lose money. They would not provide any advice or offer any solutions on how to make the money back. Their customer service is terrible and non existent. It seems like their staff are under trained & don't want to be there.

cant even download statements after two days, trying to get this to the accountant to secure a property purchase. When I called they couldnt even send me statement because they dont have access either!!!! This is basic and concerning

I was not expecting my funds to be sent somewhere else without my knowledge after completing the withdrawal process. When I asked for an explanation I felt like nobody wanted to take responsibility. That experience was enough for me to leave. I have been using market integrity since then and I have felt much more comfortable with how everything has been handled.

Do not use this company.when you need to change superfunds they will put you through a paperwork loop. Customer service is terrible. Do not use this company.

After doing some work for AustralianSuper's chosen call centre and seeing the way customers are treated behind the scenes, I made the decision to switch Super providers. The trust is gone.
