Got me back into training properly after years off
I started training with Gabriel as a dad of twins who had fallen out of routine and wanted to restart training in my home gym. He made it incredibly easy to get going again — travelling to my house, working around my schedule, and turning up ready to get straight into it. I would already be warmed up and he would take over, checking form, setting structure, and making sure I wasn’t just “working out” but actually progressing.
What stood out very quickly was how knowledgeable he is — whether it was strength work, functional training, boxing, or MMA, he could explain why we were doing something, correct technique on the spot, and make it make sense. He clearly trains seriously himself, and you can tell he teaches from lived experience, not theory.
The difference training with him versus training alone was huge. I progressed faster, felt more confident with form and loading, and actually pushed myself properly instead of just going through the motions. His coaching style is the perfect middle ground: not aggressive or intimidating, but also not passive — he gets more out of you without being overbearing. I genuinely enjoyed the sessions, we could talk and laugh while still getting the work done.
A few sessions that stuck with me were when he introduced some MMA concepts and boxing drills — it was memorable, useful, and gave me a sense of learning new skills as well as getting fitter. Since training with Gabriel, I now train five times a week on my own plan with far more competence and confidence than before, which is probably the best sign that the coaching worked.
I’d recommend Gabriel to anyone who wants to make real progress — whether that’s getting stronger, building functional capacity, or learning skill-based training like boxing or MMA. If you want someone who is professional, knowledgeable, and actually helps you move forward rather than just “supervising”, he’s a great choice.
