Incompetent Bench Work and Sloppy Quality Control

I’ve seen this play out firsthand: they will ignore your cancellation, force a shipment, and then—even after you return the item—they will sit on your refund for over 10 days. It is incredibly sketchy for a 'luxury' brand to hold a customer's merchandise and their money at the same time. They are essentially using customer funds as an interest-free loan because they are clearly desperate for liquidity.
Beyond the ethics, the quality is bottom-tier. Their daintier pieces and stone-settings are amateur; it’s common for stones to arrive crooked or fall out because they prioritize high-volume turnover over actual bench work. They count on you getting tired of the fight so they can keep your money in their 'store credit' trap. Check the 160+ BBB complaints before you give them a dime.

The quality is really good, and I also got free shipping and great packaging, which was a nice bonus. If I could give them a zero I would. My husband purchased a gold bracelet for Valentine’s. They even said it would be here for Valentine’s Day. It’s April 13, 2026 and we still haven’t received the bracelet we bought. We are finally going to cancel the order. Hope we get our money back. Do not buy anything from Baby Gold.
A $1K ring breaks after 3wk of wear + painful customer service
Bought a US$1K ring, thinking the design was fantastic. The adage "you pay for what you get" really stands here.
The ring has 5 rocks, 1 fell within 3 weeks of wearking. Then it took another 3 months to liaise with their customer service to have a replacement piece sent overseas (not in USA). Customer service would only reply once every two weeks, without SLA commitment to resolve issues in a timely matter.
Then when replacement stone finally did arrive, that also fell 2 weeks later, as prongs in the ring design are missing pieces of security that a local jeweller had to essentially cast the base ring away to rebuild another from scratch.
Oh and a third rock also fell, all within 6mo of purchase, and with daily wear.

The merchant was very helpful and responsive at the beginning of the process, which I genuinely appreciated. However, once we encountered a shipping issue, the experience became increasingly frustrating. The situation appeared to be something that could have been easily resolved by updating the delivery address with the courier, yet I was told that was not an option.
Additionally, several follow-up emails I sent—both to ask questions and to provide updates—went unanswered, which contributed to unnecessary confusion and delays. Communication during this stage was noticeably lacking.
The merchant initially offered store credit if the item could not be delivered in time; however, the explanation regarding their refund policy, tied to fluctuating gold prices, was unclear and difficult to reconcile. This was particularly confusing given the assumption that recycled gold may be used, which would presumably help stabilize costs.
When the package was eventually returned to the merchant, it was not promptly re-shipped—what would have been the most efficient and customer-focused resolution.
I have since noticed that other customers have expressed similar concerns when complications arise, and based on my experience, I can understand why. While the initial service was positive, the handling of issues and overall communication left much to be desired.
At this point, I am still waiting for a final resolution, and the lack of timely follow-through continues to be disappointing. I am also still awaiting an update—ironically, the more I reach out, the more unresponsive the communication has become.
There was no apparent sense of urgency around my situation, despite the merchant being fully aware of the circumstances. At this point, I will not be ordering from them again. This is not about the product—customer service ultimately outweighs the product itself. If an issue arises, you can expect minimal support and poor communication. While responses are occasionally provided, they tend to be lackluster and not particularly helpful.
At one point, I called their phone number multiple times over the course of several hours with no answer. Rather than returning my calls, they defaulted to email responses instead of direct communication. Overall, the experience was deeply disappointing.

BG jewellery is very beautiful and well-crafted, with a lovely design. However, I am disappointed that the pieces lose their shape easily and bend too quickly. This may be due to the alloy or because they are made too thin. If this aspect were improved, I would happily continue to be a loyal customer.
Poor pricing and customer service
I purchased a necklace early in March. When I received it two weeks later, I saw that the exact same necklace was now available on the website for about $100 less. This was NOT a sale price -- the actual non-sale price was reduced.
When I contacted the company to ask for a refund of the difference, I was told they could not because of fluctuations in gold prices. Yes, but if the price went down, why did they still charge me the higher price? What poor customer service.

Over 4 months to ship
Waited 8 weeks before reaching out to them because I saw other people online saying similar things. After I alerted them, they got back to me and said the earrings wouldn't ship for another 5 weeks, citing a "slight delay in production." Though, I was offered a full refund. Would not recommend.

Repair experience was great
I ordered two "dainty" pearl children's bracelets and my one niece isn't old enough to wear hers but the 5 year old wore it a handful of times before it broke. I contacted baby gold and they offered to repair it for $20 for shipping and handling. They did a great job repairing it. I will not have the same opportunity with the other bracelet (should it break) because the window of time for repairs is already over. I think that I should've thought twice before purchasing "dainty" children's jewelry and will do so going forward BUT that being said - they were great to work with in regards to the repair.
