One Good, One Bad
I ordered 2 dresses from BN after a number of emails back and forth for information and to ensure I was measuring myself properly for the custom option. Up until I received my items, I was quite happy with the company and CS. I opened my package as soon as it arrived, one of the dresses came out as expected, and the other had two major issues: one section with very loose stitching that was literally coming apart, and the waist had been made to measure without either the stretch or the zipper required to be able to pull it over my head or hips. At this point I took photos and contacted the company again, and they stated that the waist did stretch (it doesn't, there may be elastic inside, but the fabric itself was cut down to the 23" waist measurement and has no ability to slide over my 33" hips), stated that there was nothing that they could do, and stated that they take QC seriously so I must have caused the dress to tear while wearing it. I would have been fine if they had simply said that their policy would mean that they wouldn't be able to do anything (annoyed but fine), but the "you must have torn it" was simply insulting. I value small businesses and have no desire to scam them. I do love the designs, I will be taking the damaged dress to a tailor to fix the section that was not sewn together and to add a zipper so that I can actually put it on, and I will wear enjoy wearing both. Receiving damaged goods is bad, being accused of scamming a company that you want to support is worse. Shop at your own risk, the designs are beautiful, maybe film yourself opening your package as proof that it arrived with any damage that there may be.
