Very efficient at pick up and drop off

Service quality for the shuttle could be improved, waiting for the driver, no assistance for the luggage, etc…

Otherwise very good

Easy pick-up and drop-off at the end. Customer service was smooth, with staff very polite and making everything straightforward. I booked directly and opted for the most comprehensive insurance, which made the whole process even easier. The only downside was the transport between the airport and the pick-up location — it’s a minivan service that runs, but not frequently enough. We were lucky to get on quickly, but others behind us had to wait a while.

Anmietung online war auf dem Niveau anderer Anbieter, gut fanden wir die Erläuterungen -Info-Box- zu den Versicherungsumfängen. Die Abholung am Airport Lisboa war unsere einzige einschränkende Erfahrung, da der Transfer Airport -Büro an keiner Stelle beschrieben war. Die Details gehören in den Mietvertrag deutlich hervorgehoben! Der allerdings klappte irgendwann und Übergabe, Rückgabe nachts um 2Uhr sowie Rücktransfer haben exzellent nach Absprache bei Abholung geklappt. Wir hatten einen selbstverschuldeten Parktempler und entsprechende Versicherung, bislang alles ohne Ärger. Wir empfehlen bereit Lidboa weiter und den Gold-Versicherungsumfang zu wählen.

Alugo carro com esta empresa há cerca de dois anos sempre que vou a Portugal, e a experiência tem sido sempre excelente. Nunca tive qualquer motivo de reclamação. A comunicação com a equipa funciona muito bem — são rápidos a responder e sempre disponíveis para esclarecer dúvidas. O processo de levantamento e entrega do carro é simples e eficiente. Os funcionários são simpáticos, profissionais e prestáveis. Sinto-me segura e tranquila ao confiar nesta empresa e pretendo continuar a alugar com eles nas minhas próximas viagens. Recomendo vivamente.

Great customer service! Everyone we dealt with was extremely helpful and patient. We were renting two cars for a large family trip, where both comfort and space were important, and the team provided us with excellent options to choose from. Both cars were clean, comfortable, and in excellent condition, which made our trip much smoother. I will definitely be renting with Berent again.

I rented an SUV from BeRent for three weeks and honestly, it was phenomenal. The whole process was super easy and stress-free, right from booking to handing the car back.
The SUV itself was spotless, really comfortable, and perfect for what I needed. It felt great to drive and I never had to worry about a thing during the entire trip.
What impressed me most though was the service. The team were genuinely friendly, helpful, and always quick to answer any questions. You can tell they really care about their customers, which makes a huge difference.
After three weeks on the road, I can honestly say this was the best rental experience I’ve had. I’ll definitely be going back to BeRent next time I need a car.

Top service, straightforward transfer from airport, car in excellent condition, service was very professional throughout. The rent a car location is very clean, very bright.
Also no pressure sales, if you do not need zero limit damage waiver, they do not insist. The car was filled with petrol.
I had my car for the weekend for an unbelievable price.
The first transfer was safe, just that it could have been a bit smoother.. The transfer back to airport after the rental was safe and very relaxed.

I arrived to pick up my reserved car, but BeRent refused to release it because I didn’t have a credit card - even though the booking was fully paid through the platform. I offered alternative forms of guarantee for the security deposit, but the staff showed no flexibility or willingness to help. While I understand the need for policies, the rigid attitude and lack of customer support left a very poor impression.

Don’t get scammed, use another rental service.

Note this is this location near the Lisbon airport.

When we picked up the car they did a damage walk through. There were dozens of scratches and small dents on the car. I have never rented a car before with so many dents but I assumed it was normal for cheaper rental.

Upon returning the car, the employee asked if I had taken any pictures the day I picked it up. I said no. He then pointed out a small scratch (about 4 cm long and thin over the front drivers side wheel). He then informed us it would be 190 euro, which is the minimum they will charge for a scratch.

I asked if he had photos with a timestamp to prove that this one scratch, out of the dozens of them, had been caused by us. He had one blurry picture that proved nothing. I am quite sure we did not cause the scratch but regardless, 190 is rediculous. It looks like it could be buffed out with a cloth.

When he brought the manager, he was extremely rude and patronizing. Wasn’t wearing a name tag of course. He got us very worked up and made it seem like we were crazy. It was an awful experience that left us feeling bad.

It’s pretty clear from the way the manager spoke to us as well as other reviews here that this is how this company operates. I suggest paying a bit more to use another rental service, where the cars aren’t so banged up that the employees can’t even keep track.

Beware hidden charges.

I was given the option of cleaning the exterior and interior of the car myself before returning it or paying €10.95 for Berent to do it.

The fuel gauge showed 86% full on collection.
Within 7kms, the gauge had dropped one 'click.'

The 'activation fee' for the toll fob was c.€10.50.
Another excuse to rip off the renter!

They also block a whopping €2,000 on the credit card if, as I did, have my own insurance.
This is by far, the most my card has ever been blocked.

The Berent office is a good distance from the airport.
I will not be renting from them again.

There are many more car rental companies on site at the airport who do not hit renters with 'artificial' charges.

De l’arnaque pure… si la réservation en ligne se passe bien, à l’arrivée c’est autre chose. Nous avons été obligés de prendre une autre assurance car celle souscrite via American express n’était soit-disant pas valable . 500€ à débourser en plus.
Nous avons dû ramener notre véhicule 1 jour avant la date prévue : 73€ factures en plus… et je passe le fait qu’après une trentaine de KM effectués, le voyant de la révision s’est allumé…
Bref tout est fait pour racketter le touriste
