I had a great experience with the Berkshire Menopause Clinic. Dr Shilpa McQuillan is very professional and a clear expert in women’s health. I felt listened to and she explained everything to me in a way I understood. If you are considering seeking support then I highly recommend the Berkshire Menopause Clinic.

I highly recommend Dr McQuillan to anyone struggling with Menopause Symptoms who may have gotten the right adive on the NHS.

Unfortunately, my GP basically repeated generalities about risks and told me it was up to me to make a decision about whether or not to go on HRT. I struggled for years with problems, particularly sleep believing I just had to stick it out.

Dr McQuillan approach looks at the very wide range of symptoms and offers a detailed and knowledgeable consultation. The specific treatment she recommended addressed by symptoms whilst avoiding/minimising the risk factors. The results have been extraordinary. This has litterally changed my life.

Despite having a background in psychology and a good understanding of mental health, my earlier experiences seeking menopause support left me feeling unheard and undermined. It was disheartening and affected my confidence in asking for help.

From my first consultation with Dr McQuillan, I felt an immediate sense of relief. I was listened to with care and respect, my symptoms were taken seriously, and treatment decisions were made collaboratively. The impact on my wellbeing has been profound and lasting.

What stands out most is Dr McQuillan’s dedication - not just to her patients, but to advancing understanding and recognition of women’s health more broadly. Her work is exceptional, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have found her.

Dr McQuillan listened carefully to my symptoms and discussed treatment plans for moving forward. She made me feel much more comfortable discussing these issues than I had anticipated.

In the space of 20 minutes I received a treatment plan and advice on what could be done to help the symptoms I’ve been experiencing recently. At no point were my suspicions on what was going on with my health questioned or ignored and I felt listened to . Thankyou !

I booked an appointment with Dr McQuillan because I knew I needed more time than a short GP visit could cover. She helped me cut through the noise of information that can be out there around women's health and I came away with lots of options to help me. She didn't push any one type of agenda and made great efforts to ensure I got as much out of the appointment as possible. As well as being extremely professional she was warm and welcoming which put me at ease immediately.

Dr McQuillan is amazing. She really listens and genuinely cares. I cannot express enough the utter relief I felt after seeing her. Having been repeatedly told I'm "too young" (at 38) to be experiencing symptoms of perimenopause, and then being denied treatment due to hormone tests coming back normal I was feeling completely lost and like I was losing my mind. Dr McQuillan *heard* me and was able to reassure me it's not all in my head. She went above and beyond to get me the treatment I need, and the very next day my prescriptions were at my local pharmacy.

Dr McQuillan is amazing and I highly recommend you book an appointment to see her if you are suffering with menopause symptoms or gynaecological issues. She is extremely warm, empathetic and incredibly knowledgeable. I felt extremely reassured that I will feel brighter and that there is light at the end of a very dark tunnel following her treatment plan (it even helped just to chat to her!) Dr Shilpa McQuillan came to our office to give a talk on Menopause Awareness and Myth Busting. Dr Shilpa was incredibly knowledgeable, responsive and able to answer all questions thrown at her. Having the medical knowledge made the session really informative, including explaining the best supplements based on testing and medical support.

Dr Shilpa created an environment for women to feel empowered to take control of their own support and to have the confidence to push back and get the best treatment for themselves.

I highly recommend the clinic - it was easy to make an appointment online and I had a virtual appointment within a few days. Shilpa listened to all my symptoms and then we had a great two way discussion as to my treatment moving forward. It was re-assuring to be heard by someone with an expertise in the menopause area and to have time to talk things over. Shilpa has a lovely manner and I came away feeling supported and positive with a new treatment plan - a very different experience from a 5 min appointment with a GP, I should not have waited so long!
