Bilservice Notodden
UPDATE:** I experienced some problems after buying a used car, but the dealership followed up and the issue has since been resolved. I appreciate that the case was brought to a satisfactory conclusion.**
I purchased a Renault Captur from Bilservice Notodden in October 2025.
Within hours of leaving the dealership, the car showed serious faults:
Electric motor overheating (yellow warning turning into red error)
EV mode not functioning even with >50% charge
Fluid leakage under the transmission
I immediately reported the faults. The dealer took the car back and gave me a loan car. However, despite their own “Satisfaction Guaranteed” policy and my rights under Forbrukerkjøpsloven, they refused both a refund and a fair replacement.
I was offered cars above my budget, unclear pricing, and inconsistent responses from different staff members.
I tried for weeks to find a reasonable solution, but the process was slow and felt dismissive.
My case is now with Forbrukerrådet and Forbrukertilsynet.
Based on my experience, I advise other customers to be very cautious when buying a used car here.
