Great experience with Buckingham! On very short notice, Paul was able to find me a fabulous house on a 4 month lease. Not an easy feat when winter is approaching. I was moved in less than 24 hours later. The Buckingham team was also able to expedite the move-out process, inspection and deposit return. I will definitely be going back to these lovely folks when I return to Tahoe.

Our place was great. It was super clean, plenty of space for the 3 couples that came, we had all the tools to cook at home, and it was a short walk to the heavenly gondola. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful cabin with everything you need! Me and my friends enjoyed our 4 day stay very much! Everything was very clean and in a nice neighborhood. Pretty close to everything!

The facility was clean and well maintained. Our representative was professional and honest. No unpleasant surprises. Everything went just as we expected. Overall a great experience!

If the driveway & walk way cleared of snow and ice I would have rated this property a 5 star. It is a great unit and a great location, but I will not rent it again due to the danger of driving, parking and walking to this unit. I was told the association was responsible for clearing but we didn’t see anyone clear any of the roads or walk ways in this gated community the 7 days we were there

Pros:
-Clean , quiet ,safe location, and easy check in.
-just 2.5 miles to Heavenly SKI resort and,Riley's supermarket
-Pool table and lovely backyard for kids to enjoy the snow
-Good size- about 3000 square feet
-amenities provided- towels, soap, shampoo, spices

Cons:
-Paid a premium expecting a luxurious experience (like our previous rental with Buckingham)
-The mattresses are really old and it was uncomfortable to sleep in them.
- Sofa bed in office room was torn and damaged so could not use
-Not enough comforters for our family of 10 .

The home was beautiful itself but the carpet in the master had dark stains on it probably from someone’s snow boots. The second bedroom on the same floor as the master smelled like urine. They are fixing these things for the next renter but that does not fix the week we were there. The cushions on sofa in the main living area are very worn and extremely uncomfortable to sit on. It’s a home made for entertaining not for lounging around and relaxing.

My honest opinion is I can’t reserve this place in July, perfect location from everything, nice neighborhood, alittle pricey, but I would do it again,

Buckingham always has the best homes to fit our needs. If there is a concern they act quickly to correct it.

A good option for a large group with kids.

Pros:

Clean - This house is very clean. Its well cared for and smells fresh and welcoming.
Large - This house is very roomy. Our group did not have any trouble settling in and everyone had a place to sleep without having to resort to rollaway bedding. The kids being downstairs allowed the adults a bit of quiet time.
Kitchen - The kitchen is stocked very well. Everything works and unlike many Tahoe rentals everything you would need to cook, serve and clean up after family meals was right there, in great shape and clean.
View - This house has an incredible view. Sunsets and mornings are 1000 times better.
Hot Tub - Clean, Hot, Great after skiing.
Group Eating - Table and settings galore. Space Galore! 2 Fridges!
Location - 10 minutes to the slopes via Stagecoach lodge and 5 minutes to Safeway/Starbucks.

The Cons:
Its on the older side - The house has some remodeling done to it, like the Kitchen and the master bedroom area, but mostly its older and outdated.
Beds - Aside from the Master bedroom and the bunk beds in the kids room all other beds were lumpy and old. One of our couples left a night early because "they could not sleep another night" in this bed
Heater - some rooms have no vent control to the heat so dialing it in was impossible - its either cold or hot.
Internet - The wifi was working 30% of the time. Resetting the router was an activity that we did on an hourly basis
Bedroom? - The room with two beds in it has its closet in the bathroom. Not really a closet either. Its across the hall from the master so we shared that closed.
Pool Table - Has a huge rip in it. Cant really play on it for real.
Toilets - Most toilets clog constantly. There are small plungers with short handles to add insult to injury.
Master Bathroom Sink Drain - Clogged and had to be unclogged constantly.

Overall: This is a great option if you have a big group with kids and are looking for a moderately priced option with views and access to nevada side Heavenly lifts. Be prepared for some quirks.
Booking and dealing with Buckingham has been easy and a pleasure as always.
We had a great time. Again!

Excellent service with any problems especially “ Paul” and back up is important

We really loved the venue we hired, and it exceeded all expectations. Suggest for overseas guests not used to bears that there is a warning about live bear mats before arrival, but other than that, it was a great process.

Buckingham was awesome to work with! Paul was so personable and helpful in finding us a great spot for the summer! Lucine was always very responsive and thorough with her answers to our questions. We'll definitely continue to refer our friends and family to Buckingham.

Well stocked, great location, wonderfully comfortable beds. Nice commons space and several outside places to sit. We’d come again.

No question about it; property management is a tough gig. You've got to please EVERYONE: the prop. owners, the tenants AND the head of the prop. mgt. co. I'd never survive. But, Buckingham is different. I've been a long-term monthly renter of theirs on three different occasions and one thing is a given: they manage the BEST properties at the lake and have the largest inventory.

Aside from the wide selection, the folks that work there have become like family. And, they appreciate loyalty. I've gotten to know them all individually: Marni, Paul, Christina and Natalie. All four have treated me with respect and have done their best to tend to my needs.

No matter where I go, no matter which property I rent, I understand that not every light bulb is going to work; some things will be out of order. I learned from experience that sanity is kept by tending to these things myself. They can only do so much; they're not miracle workers with a magic wand hovering above every property.

When you rent long-term anywhere, you make the place yours by putting some things in order yourself, by taking responsibility. You'll be rewarded with a sense of accomplishment and can blame no one for not getting the job done.

Perhaps this is a different approach, a different outlook, but it works for me. Overall, I cannot imagine renting from anyone other than Buckingham when at Tahoe; for me, it's another given.
