We just finished redoing our laundry and needed a sink that could handle soaking clothes and buckets. The Buildmat 510x450 Single Bowl Sink was spot on. Deep, solid and looks brilliant with the new benchtop. Delivery to Melbourne was fast and the driver rang ahead which made life easy. Way better than the flimsy trough we had before.

I purchased some wall mixers and tapware from buildmat. Ever since the mixer were installed by our licenced plumber it has been an absolute nightmare!! The mixers began leaking, flooding our bathroom and adjoining room while we were at work. We contacted buildmat and they offered to supply another cartridge for the wall mixer that we had to pay a plumber to change over.
We thought this solved the problem, however after 2 weeks the exact same thing happened. Leaking wall mixer, flooding our bathroom again. We had to shut off our main water supply again over a long weekend with 3 kids at home while we waited to get back to this company to help us with the issue.
They supplied another cartridge which once again we were out of pocket and had to wait for them to post it and then get our plumber to install.
After the 2nd cartridge replacement, 2 weeks later same problem, leaking wall mixers.

The only thing our plumber could put it down to is buildmat continually supplying faulty cartridges.

Buildmat couldn't accept that they were supplying faulty cartridges and began blaming our water pressure- even after verified water pressure testing from our plumber as well as our whole house using the same rated kpa tapware with no issues whatsoever (bought from ABI).

After 5 cartridge replacement hoping the next one wouldn't be faulty. We decided to take matters in our own hands and we sourced another cartridge from Reece plumbing. Since changing to this cartridge, we have had no more leaks.
Even after supplying this information to buildmat, they were adamant that they didn't provide a faulty product.

We are now left with poor quality tapware that we do not trust at all and a severely swollen brand new vanity caused by the constant leaking.

Steer clear from this company!!!! I can't stress it enough. They are cheaper than their competitors and for good reason- they are supplying faulty products that have caused so much unwanted stress and anxiety in dealing with the constant issues they caused.

We ordered a farmhouse sink, delivery was quick. upon opening had some marks on it so contacted support for advice on how to remove them.
It took some time and effort to fully remove the marks following their instructions, however the support team were very understanding of the inconvenience and we were reimbursed 40% of the cost of the sink as a compensation. The sink looks lovely and now the marks are gone very happy with our purchase.
Would use again!

On price, aesthetics and delivery, Buildmat delivered.
On practicality, the sinks have insufficient fall so food and soap residue just sit in the sink once drained. Poor product design obviously zero product testing.

Poor Quality SINK, Many rusty spots come out just after installation. The supplier found the excuse to push back to customer fault! careful buy anything from this suppier! hard deal with the return/refund for faulty prodcut! Avoid ,,, avoid!!

Buildmat is an online company which gives no assistance if you need to return. I had to pay the courier company over $100 to return my sink to Victoria. Then I had to pay $120 because Buildmat claimed it was damaged even though it was never fully unpackaged. I was unable to make a claim with the couriers Buildmat recommended because Buildmat failed to provide the necessary images and information. My measurement error cost me over $250. When I bought the wrong size Emma mattress they picked it up for free and gave me a full refund.

Sink is going rusty after a few weeks of use. AVOID! Buildmat say rust is not covered under warranty. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Great experience. I live in NorthWest Queensland and my order was received a week after order was placed. Not expecting this at all. Happy with my order . Will be using Buildmat in future and also recommending them to others.

Fast delivery. Sink looks great, as described.

Went looking for an Australian based supplier for our new kitchen renovation and was recommended BuildMat by a friend.

Easy to browse website, prompt customer service and quick and free delivery to Victoria despite during the fourth lockdown. Despite not being able to view the products in store, the website and Instagram photos really gave us a feel for the products with accurate dimensions.

Ended up doing our whole reno with them including the bathrooms and laundry.

Service and product was really great , recommend highly. We bought a sink and Tao from them

Purchased two concrete basins for my bathroom reno. Very happy with the easy of install, price and finish of the product. Would definitely recommend!
