Fantastic Van Rental Experience for Iceland First Timers! Dawid and Lidia were very helpful in answering our questions during the process and everything went very smoothly. Had no issues with the van at all, very easy to drive and came equipped with everything we needed. The heating system worked really well too and kept us comfortable on some very cold nights. Delivered on our expectations and would happily use CampEasy again in the future!

We booked the Easy Luxury 4x4 camper for my birthday and our first trip abroad together in 30 years so were happy to pay the high price tag due to the great reviews we saw online.
My wife also has mobility issues so this big van seemed perfect, we could get close to the sights and have plenty of comfort for her.
Unfortunately our experience didn’t match the luxury image.
We picked up the van after hours the first day due to getting a late flight in, got unpacked and got some shopping, then discovered the hob wasn’t working properly on the first night. We had to go back to the Campeasy office to get this looked at by their mechanics in the morning, which affected our plans for sightseeing. After a bit of a wait we were told it’s been checked and all working fine. Left the office and checked it, still wasn’t working and got talked to like an idiot who didn’t know how to use a gas hob. Took the lady on reception to view the fault and confirmed it wasn’t working, then had to go out again with the mechanic who said it was working, to show it wasn’t, then had to go back and wait for a replacement van which took a few hours, then had to pack up and move all our stuff across to the new van and just had to make the best of the time we had left that day.
A few days later the replacement van water pump button stopped working, leaving us without running water. So after opening a chat and waiting a while I was advised to check the fuses, did this and still wasnt working so had to go back to the campeasy office, again, to get this fixed, affecting our travel plans yet again.
When we dropped off the van when we were getting the flight back, we were told we would be given some compensation and receive a discount on our next booking for the inconvenience. The van cost us £248 a day and we were given £140 refund. I don’t feel this matches the inconvenience of 2 return trips to the office on separate days and affecting our plans to see as much of Iceland as we could in the time we had.
Also we were only offered the standard 5% discount for returning customers when we enquired about booking again after these issues.
For us it feels like the first van wasn’t checked properly before we received it, and the 2nd was just a bit more used and thrown on the road for us in a rush.
I think the company should make sure every van is double checked to ensure it’s fully working before it’s given to customers, they should also have a manual with each van type, showing the locations of things like water, gas and fuses for people who may experience issues.
We were left very disappointed by the experience, but Iceland is an amazing place to visit.
On the plus side the bed is very comfortable and the supplied bedding was great. It did get very cold on a night due to the 2 open vents in the roof, so if you had the diesel heater off you were very cold very quick.

We really enjoyed our trip through Iceland with our camper. Everything was explained very easily and we felt very safe during our trip. Even the cold nights didn't affect us at all since it was very cozy in the camper. Our service agents Dawid, Lidia and Mahesh were always there to help with any questions and they replied very fast. We would always go to Iceland with CampEasy again and can only recommend :) Thank you!

We had a fabulous time in beautiful Iceland. Hiring a camper from CampEasy was such a good decision and the best way to see the country. I have a campervan in the UK and have spent a long time getting it just right. We were really pleased when we picked up our VW Transporter, perfectly equipped with everything we needed for the week—lots of nice little touches that have given us some inspiration with our van back in the UK. I must mention Natalia, Dawid and Lidia. We had an issue with a flight; they couldn't have been more supportive and helpful in making everything smooth. Lovely people! Get yourself to Iceland, the country is beautiful, the people are lovely and warm, and do it in a van. I wouldn't hesitate to use CampEasy again, planning already and only got back today!

The camper van was perfect — comfortable, efficient, and fully equipped for cold temperatures. We spent five days exploring Iceland, and thanks to CampEasy, it was a unique and unforgettable experience.

The only small note: the snow tires were good, but some locals suggested tires with extra studs for even better traction on ice. Still, we had no issues at all.

Traveling in Iceland can be unpredictable, but CampEasy made us feel prepared, safe, and comfortable. We can’t wait to go back and explore more — and we’ll definitely choose CampEasy again!

We had an amazing experience with CampEasy in Iceland! From the very beginning, everything was super easy and well organized. The campervan was in excellent condition, very comfortable, clean, and perfectly equipped for winter road trips.

Driving around Iceland in a campervan was absolutely the best way to explore the country, and CampEasy made this experience even better. The staff was very friendly and helpful, explained everything clearly, and gave us great tips for the road.

The van handled the Icelandic weather really well, and we felt safe and confident during the whole trip. Sleeping in the camper while being surrounded by such incredible landscapes was unforgettable.

Great experience! Totally recommend it. We rented a Caddi for 9 days over new years and got an upgrade to a Easy Clever. Super cozy van, great insulation for winter trips, everything you need and great support. Make sure to rent a 4x4 in winter!! You can book all the extras you need (some of them for free), they are quick to reply and assist and provide a ton of useful information so you start your trip prepared and safe. Be aware that the KEF airport is 1h walk away if you have to get to the airport outside of business hours - we took a taxi (5 min trip) but apparently they sometimes don’t show up haha.

The account/booking overview could be more easy to navigate. Before the trip I felt a little unsure about how to access all the necessary documents and confirmations as well as the PIN code you need for pick-up. However, nothing that affected our trip since the staff was very fast to answer all our questions.

I have rented several cars and campervans in my life before, but this is the first time I had no problems at all. Everything CampEasy promised, they delivered. The photos and descriptions/video guides of the vehicles are accurate, the camper is very well equipped, and the vehicles are in exceptional condition, not worn out like most campers or rental cars.

CampEasy truly made our camping experience easy. They were extremely helpful, and whenever I had questions or issues on the road, they were always there to help. Special thanks to DAWID and LIDIA, who made our journey problem-free with their fast, helpful, and kind replies.

I was quite worried before arriving, as ironically my worst-ever campervan rental experience had also happened in Iceland 😄, so I am very grateful that this journey was completely worry- and problem-free.

We loved the Tesla! Had fairly good but cold weather (-7 C) and were perfectly warm the whole night and day. The back of the Tesla is more big then expected and can fit a big (190+) guy with another person comfortably.

Would highly recommend when checking in to grab some of the free stuff left by travelers (we did not and paid a lot at the supermarket…)

My experience with camper easy was fantastic. The caravan was very well maintained and was delivered to us with excellent maintenance. Upon delivery of the camper, David explained everything to us in an impeccable and professional way and answered all our questions, and seeing us a little anxious, he reassured us in a fun way. Thank you very much. In addition, camper easy has never abandoned us during the trip keeping us updated on weather changes and advising us on how to behave. I definitely recommend it to everyone. In addition, Milan and Lidia assisted us with the return, also in an impeccable way and gave us an additional discount to use at the airport. Highly recommended.

This was the trip of a lifetime! Such a dreamlike country. In three weeks, with CAMPEASY as our partner, we never felt alone. Pick-up and drop-off were completely hassle-free.

The van, even though it was an older EXP model, was perfectly equipped. We always felt at home. Even though Florentina is a bit petite 😉, we've rarely met such a dynamic woman with such empathy for guests.

When the vehicle had a technical problem, we were directed to the nearest garage in the middle of our trip. They didn't find the fault, but they still put our minds at ease. When the problem recurred, a CAMPEASY employee drove for almost 10 hours in a replacement vehicle to bring us a new one.

That's the kind of service you can't beat! Communication via the provided tablet was professional.

The name pretty much says it all. From online booking, the generous cancellation policy, prompt responses to questions ahead of time or as plans change to camper vans that are reliable, spacious, and affordable, CampEasy was integral to our week long journey in and around Iceland's ring road. We certainly couldn't have gotten the most out of our time with any other combination of accommodations.

We rented The Easy Clever 4x4 EXP. While the EXP models are the oldest in the fleet and show it here or there on the exterior, the interior was no worse for the wear and we never lacked confidence in its reliability or capability to get us where we wanted to go. Its age did mean it had USB A ports and lacked a 110v ac power outlet (could use a power inverter through). Not major, but worth a mention since I missed the info at the time of booking. It had ample space and storage for me, my wife, our 2 carry ons and 2 backpacks without feeling like a behemoth on the road.

Drivability was good and I was amazed at how sure footed it was on roads I typically don't associate with vans. Quite often it was down right fun. Even if you don't plan on accessing F-roads (which we did not), I recommend opting for a 4x4 model because the even the best of road surface can change quickly. Took me a minute to figure out backing up with one;y a rear alert system and no back up camera (perhaps due to the model age) and the spare tire mounted to the rear door is in a terrible location when using the rear view mirror. Really threw my perception off. While useful, mounting the provided tablet to the windshield was distracting and blocked more of my view than Im accustomed to. I chose to leave it on the dash for most of the trip.

The living sleeping space is well designed and makes the best of the space. Took a minute to find the best system, but there truly is space for everything. Converting the living/sleeping space was simple and the bed slept way more comfortably than you might think. Overnight heating system was always at the ready, a definite plus in shoulder season. The free extras like additional duvet covers are great too. You can add almost any creature comfort you want to the rental, but really think about what you'll really use before ticking the box. The French press was great ... the one time in 7 days we actually used it. The unlimited WIFI was impressive and worked without fail. Huge given I preferred to rely on my phone for google maps and music while turning to the tablet for wind reports and road conditions.

The agents onsite and that you might communicate with on road through the provided tablet are considerate and helpful with a straight forward-no nonsense approach. It definitely felt like they expect you to turn to them as they last resort for non-emergency questions or situations. Know any and all aspects of the contract and/or terms of the rental. Wasn't an issue for us, but again they definitely mean business when it comes to contractual terms. I do think they could be more thorough in explaining how service apps like Parks (used to pay for parking and reserve select campsites) worked.
