Great customer service and attention to detail. Very friendly agents who make sure they explain everything about the vehicle and also share important information about the driving rules in Iceland, parking tips and even suggest some of their favourite must-see spots. Perfect condition of the vehicle, reliable, comfortable and safe on the road. Absolutely loved the experience!

We rented from Go Car Rental for our 12 day Iceland trip and had a great experience. The airport pickup and shuttle were smooth and well organized.
We upgraded from a Duster to a Land Cruiser during the trip, and the process was quick and completely hassle-free.

Their team was very responsive over email and helped us with all our questions along the way. The drop-off was easy quick, and they even offered to drop us at our hotel, despite it being a bit far from the airport.

Highly recommend Go Car Rental for Iceland road trips.

Reliable car that gave us no problems. The employee interaction left a lot to be desired. Employees were pleasant, but curt, without any effort put forth to help us, to answer questions, or even to engage in conversation.

Arriving late it was a bit confusing finding the car, that picked us up, to bring us to the "GO"-office.
We finally saw the white van with the "Go" ad. It took a few minutes to get there, but the friendly greeting and offer for an upgrade, because of late season, made us feeling good. Very relaxed and friendly staff. All went fine with our car during travel. Gladly the address, where to drop off the car, we found on the passengers side on the dashboard. This is what we completely forgot on the pick up day asking for. We will come again - and drive with"Go"!

Excellent service and perfect vehicle for our Iceland photography adventure
We hired a Dacia Duster from GoCampers for an 8-day photography tour along Iceland's stunning southern coast, from Keflavík to Vík and on to Höfn on the east coast. The vehicle was absolutely perfect for our needs.
With three people, three large suitcases, and three substantial camera bags, space was our main concern - but the Duster handled everything brilliantly. The rear seats accommodated our camera gear perfectly, making three passengers the ideal number for this setup.
The pickup location was incredibly convenient, just 5 minutes from the airport. When we discovered the Android Auto/satnav screen on our initial vehicle was faulty, the team swapped it out immediately without any hassle. The service representative was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout.
"Daisy" (our trusty Duster!) proved absolutely sure-footed on Iceland's ice and snow-covered roads. Coming from a country where we rarely see snow and never use winter tyres, it was reassuring to know the vehicle was fully equipped and capable of handling the challenging winter conditions with ease.
Highly recommend GoCampers for anyone planning an Iceland road trip - professional service and reliable vehicles that can handle whatever Icelandic weather throws at you!

When we returned our rental car in Reykjavík, we had just filled the tank completely. So when the employee asked, “Is the car full?” I answered yes—because it genuinely was when we left the gas station. The short drive back to the rental office caused the gauge to drop by one bar, which is normal. The same thing actually happened when we received the car originally: after about a 10-minute drive, the fuel gauge dropped by one bar as well.

Despite this, the staff member insisted the tank wasn’t full and immediately charged us 44 euros for a single bar. When I questioned the amount and asked for a more reasonable charge, he accused me of lying. This was extremely insulting, especially since my answer was honest and the fuel fluctuation is something that naturally happens with many cars.

Additionally, pick up from airport was not as described, we waited and searched for the pick up shuttle for 30 minutes after a very long and tiring flight.

This experience left me feeling disrespected as a customer and disappointed with the level of service I received from the car rental company in Iceland. Blue rental customers service is better so I recommend them.:)

Very easy to use and the saffron were very helpfull

We were really happy with our rental experience with go car rentals in Iceland. We opted for 4X4 Duster which was clean and had no issues on the trip. Only suggestion would be the pick up from the airport which is really tricky to find the spot can be made more visible with better directions.

Very helpful and efficient service from GO Car rentals. A very short wait at the airport before being collected by the minibus taking us to GO rentals main building which was only 5 minutes away. Very knowledgable and helpful staff at the centre who provided information on a storm that was approaching the very next day. During our stay we also received email updates about road closures which was a nice touch. On returning our vehicle the night before we flew home the staff very kindly drove me back to my hotel so that I did not have to walk back in the rain. I would not hesitate to recommend GO car rentals in Iceland and I know that when we return we will use them again!

Excelent service, pick up was easy, the car was in good condition. Upon arrival we realized we didn’t fit in the car we rented and they gave us an upgrade without any charge. They wrote to us with warnings regarding the conditions of the roads which was very helpful in planning our trip. Drop off was uneventful and there were no hidden charges which are frequent when renting a car. Would definitely recommen.

We had an easy car pick up with Go Car Rentals. Picked up at the airport - extremely helpful . Easy to access by phone. Check out was so simple and they were kind and helpful getting back to the airport. Highly Recommend

Arrived at Kef Air port in Iceland on the 30 of October , just after the worst snowfall in over 100 years. Used the video guide to show exactly how to get to our pick up point and rang the desk to send our pick up shuttle. The driver helped us put our cases into the bus, and was friendly and chatty during the short drive to the pickup, upon arrival helped us unload our cases and we went in to be handed our free updraged vehicle, initially we had just chosen a smaller from wheel drive car. But I think because of how bad the weather had been and the amount of snow and ice still on the roads we were upgraded for free to a larger 4x4 vehicle. This was very greatly appreciated and shows they value customer safety. Car was absolutely great, fully fueled up and got us safely to our hotel, after our trip is was a much easier drive back on the 6th November, since the ice had mostly disappeared and a very quick and easy hand over, and they returned us directly to the very front of Kef Airport, right outside the front door. So overall I will give a 5 star review and would use them again. They were also one of the only companies who accepted us despite not having a credit card, so that was also a main reason I selected them in the first place. Thanks GO Car

We were able to rent using a debit card instead of a credit card as we purchased the premium insurance. As well as the extra insurance coverage we also got wifi, and self service checkin. The WiFi worked amazingly and the self service check in was very quick and easy.

The car we got a was Dacia Duster, it was extremely clean and comfortable. The heated seats in the cold weather were a nice surprise.

When returning the car although we had the self service option we went to an agent at the desk. We had the car returned and verified that everything with it was ok within 10 minutes. We were offered tea, coffee or water while we waited for the shuttle to the airport which left about 5 minutes after we had everything given back and dropped us right at the door for departures.

I couldn’t recommend GoCar rental in Iceland enough. Being able to rent a car and the ease of everything and not having to worry about the car really added to us being able to enjoy the trip.

Staff were professional and friendly, drove us back to the airport at 5.30am in the morning!

Easy car hire check in and check out process.
We had a Suzuki Swift, clean and filled with petrol making it easy to start our trip. If you're driving to Hofn, I recommend the additional roadside cover as the roads around there are not as paved and we popped our back tire on a bumpy bridge. Since we had full cover, we got our money back without any hassle.
The car even came with heated seats which was a must have luxury after surviving the cold.
