Refund issues
Camplify is just a platform that puts campervan owners in touch with a potential renter. Which is OK provided the van is as described, is fit for purpose and has no issues that the owner has not mentioned.
If you do have the misfortune of coming across any of these problems, Camplify will not reimburse you, even though you have paid your money to them.
Instead, they will try to act as mediators between you and the van owner, and if the van owner rejects your request, whether justified or not, then you have no recourse except to try to get your money back directly from the van owner via the legal system. Which can be difficult and time consuming, specially if you have come from another country.
We found this out the hard way. Next time, we will rent from a reputable van company. When we were recently travelling in Western Australia, we came across many other rental vans and we both thought that Maui seemed good.

We couldn’t recommend Greg highly…
We couldn’t recommend Greg highly enough. He was absolutely fantastic to deal with from start to finish and made hiring his caravan such an easy and enjoyable experience.
Nothing was ever too much trouble. Greg was always happy for us to ring if we had any questions about how something worked in the van, and he was patient, friendly and incredibly helpful every time.
The caravan itself had everything we could possibly need and more. Greg had really thought of all the little extras that make travelling easier and more comfortable, which we really appreciated.
Thank you so much, Greg, for trusting us with your caravan and for being so helpful throughout our trip. We would definitely hire from you again and would highly recommend Greg and his caravan to anyone looking to hire through Camplify.

Over priced & faulty camper
Unfortunately my experience was severely tainted by the amount Camplify charged for a single night hire after having to return the camper after only one night. The campers heating did not work below 2 degrees, almost freezing myself in -4.5 degree temperatures, hence I had to return the campervan. This took two full days out of my trip & cost an additional $280 fuel that was not budgeted for (expecting the majority of the trip was on the first day). Camplify charged $584.75 for a single night when the van was faulty! There were no blinds supplied for the front or side doors, even after these were requested prior to hiring! This increased the cold inside the van whilst also offering zero privacy. The actual blinds at the back over the bed kept dripping down & would not stay up, again letting in more cold! The whole van rattled constantly as the blinds appeared loose inside the windows.
I have a disability, so driving back to return the van placed a considerable strain on me. Therefore I was shocked that with fuel, a one night trip cost me $864.75! They apparently can’t explain how this was calculated, nor was it shown on the refund receipt!
