I wish I could give this store negative stars. I spend a fair amount of money at Canadian Tire and bought a pump for paddle boards that didn’t work and went to return it. I’m told I can’t get a refund because the box was opened. Apparently I need to be able to read the future to know the thing I’m buying is broken. I can’t get credit to spend later either, I need to spend it then and there. So I wander around the store finding things I don’t want to equal the pumps price only to be told it’s still short so I need to either buy the same pump, which I don’t want another of, or buy something of greater value and pay the difference. I don’t want to have to pay more for something I already don’t want. They are never getting a penny from me again.

Why Anazon is grabbing all the sales ? I search Canadien Tire for alarm battery. On the site, there are some in stock at the store near me. I go there, I can't see them. I know that batteries are all together, or they use to be. I can't see them there. I find a young staff, I ask him, he thinks a bit, and directs me to the aile 4. I go there, there are only large chargers, not a single battery. This guy took a wild guess and said the first thing that came to his mind, he was not even far from that aile, you would think that someone with "service in mind" would at least go see if that was true. When I came back, I could no longer see him. I tried looking up the item on my cell, sometimes it says which ailes, not at all. Google kept showing me items on Amazon, and much cheaper. I left and purchased it on Amazon.

The new advertising for canadian tire should be," At canadian tire. We don't just sell tires. We rip you off too! " I'm standing in line waiting to be served and between phone calls these 2 agents were taking they were also upselling 2 customers on $1000s of additional repaires" required". I couldn't take it anymore and walked away from my 20 minute wait.... and I was next in line for all this.

J'ai eu un excellent service, des bons conseils, de résultat de qualité sur les réparations pneus, changement des pneus dans un délais très raisonnable de temps. Un grand merci a Jean Jacque , Canadian Tire, 1250 Moody, Terrebonne. Je vous le recommande fortement.

It was the worst experience on June 24, 2026 (Winnipeg, Garden city center), at the Garden Centre. I wanted to buy a plant, but the woman assisting me didn't know the price. She kept searching for it but couldn't find any information. Then she said we had to wait for the person in charge, Beckam, to arrive. We waited for 40 minutes!

After that, he also spent a long time searching and still couldn't find the price. Finally, we called the main manager, and she found it within a few minutes.

However, the price was $16 for a plant that was almost dying because it was the end of the season. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

Bought a lawn mower there, worked great…ONCE! Second time it wouldn’t start (8 days after purchase). Tried to return it for a refund at the Orillia Ont store. They offered an exchange but refused a refund. I was not interested in an exchange for something this bad and was planning on buying a better model elsewhere. I had to take it to a certified dealer 40 km away to get it looked at. Worst customer service I ever had . Manager name was Lindsay.

When is a customer ever right? I went the buy an indoor/ outdoor rug that was on display with the only sign that I could see on a bin with many rugs of different colours. They all were the same size and the price was $19.99. when I went to cash out it came up as $24.99 so I disputed the price only to have the cashier speak to me with a tone and when she called for help I was trying to speak only she got rude and wouldn't let me get word in. I ask for a manager which quickly became a three person team that I felt was intimidating. But of course they would only side with their employee. It was offered that they would accompany me to the bin to see the signage but I tried to explain that I didn't want to walk all the way back into the store as I have a bad foot with pain. At which time not one showed any concern for my discomfort nevertheless care if I purchased or not. I left and went to home hardware to get better service.
FYI this is not the first time I've been treated badly in that store. As far as I'm concerned their employees are mean and miserable so I suggest avoid this store!

Canadian Tire, the store in question, is not far from Newtonbrook High School. {The Young & Steeles Canadian Tire} is known for its low-quality products, rubbish, unfriendly service, and substantially exorbitant pricing. In general, it leaves a lot to be desired. A real dumpster, I'd give it zero stars if I had that option.

Trying to enter the verification code is useless. What kind of electronic service company are you dealing with?. A company of your size should be able to afford top service, not the poor dysfunctional systems you have for various access to your services and sometimes products. These problems have been ongoing for many years, where there is poor and clumsy access to your products.

They have the worst website of any retailer in Canada!
Pages don't load. Continually asks you to sign in. Can't change store location. Get "Oops something went wrong" CONSTANTLY.
If you click on a pop up product while browsing on Facebook or Pinterest it never takes you to the product! I mean...... what's the point of having a website. No wonder so many people give up and just order from Amazon! Which is what I'm doing for truck mats right now! I want to shop Canadian and local but I'm not driving an hour from my house to find that they don't have what I want! Its just PAINFUL! Get your act together Canadian Tire. 0 Stars if I was able.

Bought tires in Duncan, was quoted an install price. Went to the Nanaimo store for install, they jacked up the price. For auto work, Canadian tire will rip you off wherever they can. Never get ypu car serviced with these people, they are scammers and incompetent mechanics.

Don't pay in your apple pay. Once you try to replace or return the items you bought. And forget or loss your reciept, They wont accept even though just bough an hour ago. They staff are not helpful and rude.

I grew up going to Canadian tire woodstock, customer service was second to none . Now they refuse to honor the life time warranty. The customer service is horrible. No one understands or can explain how anything works . I was asked to pay for something in store before they would bring it out of the warehouse area. They have chased away a 40 year customer

After spending over $200 on pool supplies, cashier said she has to charge me $1 because I was taking small carton box containing products I bought, so it was easier to carry to my car!!

I’m doing them a favor by recycling cardboard!!
It’s not for the $$…next time I carry one bag at a time or refuse the $200 purchase!
I was in a hurry, or else I would have left everything on cashier counter!!!

Junk item 60-0303xX outdoor shed made by Keter don't wreck the box it comes in so you can take back for 499.00 is expensive recycling.

Went to the canadian tire in melfort sask. For a tire swap and oil change. They told me they had the filter and stuff but in the end when we got there, they didnt have everything for the oil change. On top of that, after they swapped my tires my car pulled to the right, and when I confronted them about that, they tried to gaslight me saying all they did was change the tires and everything was fine. Im now having to book into my local dealer ship to get a wheel balance and alignment done. My problem is, my car didnt have any issues before I took it in. When I told they guys it needed the alignment and balance they told me it didnt need it and that it has to be something else. Again, it didnt have any issues before and now it does. Even my local dealership told me it needed a balance and alignment. Will never go to a canadian tire for this sorta thing again. Worst service ever.

Some of The mugs on sale are terrible. I bought a mug which suppose to keep warm for hours. It doesn’t even for one hour. The lid will be stuck not opening and is a challenge to open and use . I didn’t use it just after buying it so I can not return it but is useless.

Voilà la plainte envoyée à Canadian Tire :Bonjour, le 5 juin 2025 j'ai acheté un vélo pour mon fils, à peine rentré à la maison et à sa première sortie en vélo les freins ont lâchés, votre magasin les a réparés en juillet 2025. Mon fils a utilisé son vélo 4 à 5 fois en 2025 puis il a été remisé pour l'hiver. Le 19 mai 2026 il a décidé d'utiliser son vélo, à peine sorti il revient en disant que les freins ne fonctionnent pas. Le 22 mai 2026 je me suis dirigé à votre magasin avec ma facture, j'ai demandé si la garantie d'un an est toujours valide, 2 prépos
és m'ont confirmé que le vélo sera réparé et que la garantie d'un an sur les composantes est valide au 5 juin 2026. J'ai contacté mon fils pour qu'il ramène le vélo qui est sans freins, il a pris un grand risque. Grâce à Dieu il est arrivé sain et sauve. Votre magasin m'a donné un reçu pour le vélo et ils m'ont dit qu'il sera réparé. Aujourd'hui un de vos employés m'a contacté pour me dire que je dois payer 112.5 $ + taxes pour la réparation. Je suis vraiment très insatisfait de votre service à la clientèle car si dès le début vous m'aviez dit qu'il n'est pas couvert par la garantie je n'allais pas ramener le vélo, maintenant je dois demander à mon fils d’aller chercher son vélo en prenant le risque de le conduire sans freins.
