I recently subscribed to Captions AI, and my experience has been extremely disappointing. The platform operates sluggishly, making the video creation process frustratingly slow. I initially opted for the Pro Plan, expecting comprehensive features, but was dismayed to find that it still imposes watermarks on content. This tactic seems designed to push users towards the Max Plan, which is three times the cost of the Pro Plan—a pricing strategy that feels both misleading and exploitative.​

Technical issues further mar the experience; the system crashes frequently, disrupting workflow and wasting valuable time. To make matters worse, the support feature is unreliable, often unresponsive when assistance is most needed. This inconsistency in customer support is unacceptable, especially when seeking help or requesting a refund.​

I invested four hours attempting to create an AI-generated video. The final product was subpar, with poor audio quality and intrusive watermarks that rendered it unusable. Ironically, the free trial without a subscription offered a better experience than the paid Pro Plan.​

In summary, Captions AI overpromises and underdelivers. Its deceptive pricing, technical instability, and inadequate customer support make it a platform to avoid. I strongly advise against using Captions AI for your video creation needs.​

I just cancelled my subscriptions. What could be such a beautiful product has such a horrible experience. Slow , cannot download. crashing computer. You name it ...it's a problem.

This app used to be amazing. The processing was fast and accurate and the app was easy to navigate and was relatively intuitive. It's honestly awful now. Processing time is insanely slow, any sort of editing on the video is painful, and it's clunky to use. I shouldn't have wasted $80/year on this awful software.

It's initially a lot of fun but the excitement quickly wears off when the processing is painfully slow, and the allowed video length is unusably short.

I'm glad I tried it but will not continue the subscription unless these issues are quickly resolved.

I don't recommend unless you're looking for a toy to pass a little boredom. It is not a reliable tool.

Very slow processing, very slow exporting, lot of editing mistakes, only vertical with just 800 characters limit. Overall, its a complete waste of time and money. I'll update the review if these are resolved in the future. Don't buy untill its become good enough to be paid.

I had a very bad experience with tool recently. While trying to export a video with captions, the process kept failing repeatedly. No matter what I tried, the export wouldn't complete, making the tool completely unreliable for actual content creation.

Just subscribed but I am going to cancel, I am trying to translate my video from English to Italian, it doesn't work, it keeping saying Processed error.
Useless.

on desktop website is not slow but stuck, ive been waited for 1 hour and it's still loading

very bad software. Always cancelling my uploads, very slow, awful customer support who are all dopey and clueless. You'd have to be an idiot be with these people

Creates subtitles well but exports video files terribly. Videos lag, are low quality, and freeze. In the end, the videos are unusable. Subscription cancellation and refunds are not possible. Do not pay for this service.

In theory, this is a great app. I love the avatar production but it has MAJOR issues with the Scottish accent! I’ve been everything from having an Irish twang to full on middle England. It’s mildly amusing but not really fit for my Scottish accent purpose. I’ll use it for direct video recording but I think the virtual me is going to be put on hold until it gets a better grip on my Scottish accent, which I imagine will get better over time. It also automatically default to US currency even when the script has the £ sign.

The app has the base to be great, but it’s made a bad impression first time round. Looking at the reviews on here I guess it will become yet another failure in the AI video app industry

They took my money in a fraction of a second, but I can't even export my 11 seconds video. It says "exporting..." for more than an hour now. No customer support, no help whatsoever. Thieves!!!

I never in my life put a review for a company even when I had bad experiences. But these people, the worst customer service experience I had, so many bugs, deleted my files and the worst people who work there.
All my projects were deleted twice, and their response was "That happens"
Also one of their worker offered me a freelancer job, and I guess he thought I won't ask for payment, When I did inquire about it, he decided to insult me.
Make sure to think hard before using their services.

Do not pay for this product. Worst quality ever. AI Avatar are the worst
