Vida and the team are great. A welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.

The whole team from the front desk to the dentists and hygienists are friendly and accommodating. I am always satisfied after an appointment. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this dental practice to others.

Very professional service

Today ( March 7th 2023 ) was my first visit to the practice.
I found the staff exceptionally professional, friendly and helpful.
Dr Pires and his dental nurse were very welcoming, and immediately put me at ease, with a gentle reassuring manner!
He explained everything to me in detail, and answered all of my questions .

I am extremely confident that my treatment plan will be executed professionally, and that gives me great confidence.

I am a nervous dental patient so I hadn't seen anyone in over 10 years. Inevitably I needed treatment and I received empathetic and professional care. It has restored my faith in dentistry and I will continue with regular follow-ups.

The dentist really put me at my ease and I didn't experience any pain despite having to have quite a lot of treatment for a crown and two fillings. Everyone at the surgery is very nice and it was a good experience all round.

I was so unbelievably nervous to have two wisdom teeth extracted but I really had nothing to worry about. Of course there was some discomfort but it really is true that there was zero pain. Any instance of me saying I could feel it the procedure immediately stopped and more anaesthetic was applied. The surgeon couldn’t have been more gentle. So pleased, fears definitely eased for getting a third one extracted next month.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cathedral Dental Clinic for a tooth extraction and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. From the moment I walked into the office, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The entire team made sure that I felt comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process.

Dr. Kolahi is truly an expert in her field and her passion for dentistry is evident in the way she performs her work. The tooth extraction was done quickly and efficiently, and I was amazed at how little discomfort I felt during the procedure. Dr. Kolahi's gentle touch and reassuring demeanour made the experience much less intimidating than I had anticipated.

What was even more impressive was the speed of my recovery. I was able to eat by the evening of my procedure, which was a welcome surprise. The aftercare provided by Dr. Kolahi and her team was also top-notch, ensuring that my healing process was as smooth as possible.

Extremely clean, courteous and a friendly run practice. Located in Pontcanna, the Cathedral dental practice offers warm staff, helpful information and exceptional dentistry skill.

Dentist was very careful to ensure I was properly informed about the procedure - I tend to be a little nervous about dentistry and she took the time to reassure me and make sure I was confident of what was happening at all times.
Crown is fitted now and I am very pleased with the end result.

Each time I have been in the dentist the customer service and treatment has been exemplary. However, on my last visit, I paid in advance for a standard check-in, and while I was in the chair the dentist told me that I needed an x-ray, and asked for permission to take them. I agreed. When I left, the customer service asked me to pay for my x-rays. I complained stating that nobody had told me that I had to pay, and that I thought it was part of the check-in payment. The customer service assistant confirmed it was an additional cost and I paid. When I got home, I thought this was unfair and I contacted the dentist for a refund for the x-rays because I would have refused them had I known they would charge me. Their Operations Manager contacted me in writing and refused my request for a refund STATING THAT I HAD RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF THEIR RATES IN AN EMAIL FOUR YEARS EARLIER WHEN I FIRST JOINED THE PRACTICE! It told me all I needed to know about this practice - being right, winning a dispute and finding ways NOT to recompense customers no matter how ridiculous was far more important that making a customer felt seen, heard and mattered.

I have always been rather anxious about visiting the dentist, having had several crowns, bridges and implants. And who looks forward to a root canal filling? But you are in very safe, kind hands with Vida and the team at Cathedral Dental Clinic. The receptionists are warm and welcoming and quietly efficient. The waiting room is an oasis of calm and quiet. This is also the case in the surgery where I am soon at ease and where I find treatment pain free: highly recommended for nervous people.

Being a person who had a phobia about going to the dentist i no longer have that fear as all the staff are very friendly and understanding about the fear some people may have about being there

The best dental clinic I’ve ever experienced. I am a new patient at Cathedral Dental Clinic, I was feeling a little anxious attending today as it was my first check up for a few years. As soon as I arrived I was greeted by a very friendly and approachable team of receptionist; Briony, Ffion, Harriet and Kathy, immediately my mind was put at ease. The establishment was clean, well presented and had a very relaxing atmosphere. After a lovely chat with the girls at the front desk I was attentively taken into the surgery by nurse Kayleigh where I met Dr Pires. He was very informative and helpful, his chair side manor was professional & personable. He was the most down to earth dentist I’ve ever come across, I would definitely recommend him! What I thought was going to be a daunting experience turned out to be an extremely positive one. Following my appointment, the receptionist Briony explained everything regarding my treatment plan with great care and was happy to answer any questions that I had. After attending Cathedral Dental Clinic I look forward to returning, thank you all for such a lovely experience!

Good welcoming reception team. The hygienist is really great and we go regularly as a family which has helped our dental health a lot. Only critic there is that the cost has risen a lot with COVID and all the regulations which is understandable but it has not come back down all the way now that the regulations have very much been rolled back. There has been a token lowering of price but that is all... With the dentists it is a bit of a mixed bag. Some are great, some could really do with listening much more to their patients' questions. I have had to change dentist within the practice because she was so obviously looking down on me. Here is the honest truth. They have some great points and often have been helpful and a few have a lot of work to do not on competence but on human relations... Their best dentist unfortunately left a few years ago. He really was patient with me and my fears and questions to a point that has not been replicated since... But good practice none the less.

All staff were extremely friendly and efficient. I was able to schedule my additional hygienist appointment on the same day following my general appointment.
