Very informative guide
Very informative guide - I had no idea how much carbon medium-distance flights (across the US) generate! Also didn't realize how much we can offset by swapping from natural gas heating to heat pumps - will be investing in that upgrade!

Thank you for your 5-star review, Alexander! We're so glad to hear that you found the guide informative and that it helped you realize the impact of medium-distance flights and the potential of heat pump upgrades. Every step towards reducing your carbon footprint makes a real difference. Best of luck with your investment in the heat pump - it's a great choice for the planet!

I liked the most things
I liked the most things, but I was very dissapointed that they didn't differentiate between regular beef/lamb and animal products from regenerative animal husbandry instead of just advocating for vegetarian food. I subscribed for their climate compensation even though I'm not a particularly big fan of biogas, but the other compensation projects seems fine.

ClimateHero ããã®åç
Thank you for your 3-star review, Math! We appreciate your feedback and understand your concern regarding the distinction between different types of animal husbandry. We aim to encourage sustainable choices, and weâll take your input into account as we continue to improve our recommendations and offset projects. We're glad to hear that youâre still supporting our climate compensation efforts and that you find our other projects beneficial.
If you have any further thoughts or suggestions, feel free to reach out - weâre always looking for ways to improve!
I learned a lot and you need to fix the lack of solar panel acknowledgement.
I learned a lot which is great. The only negative thing and the reason I reduced the stars from a perfect score of 5/5 is that I was not given the proper opportunity to get credit for the solar panels on my roof. This cost us a ton of money and it is very carbon neutral. The only thing that sort of gave me credit for the expensive solar panels was water heater powered by solar. That is only one very small piece of the pie. Furthermore, I know that I wasn't given full credit for the solar panels since it was suggested that I get solar panels which I already own and use daily. This should be corrected, respectfully.

Thank you for your 4-star review, Victoria! We appreciate your feedback about not being fully credited for your solar panels. The ClimateHero Carbon Calculator provides a broad estimate of your footprint based on general data, and while solar panels are incredibly impactful, they may not be fully captured in our current categories. We're working on improving this, and your feedback is invaluable.
Thanks again for your support and for taking steps to reduce your carbon footprint!

Easy CO2 footprint compensation
I compensated the CO2 footprint of my flight with planting 15 trees with ClimateHero. I appreciated a lot that the trees will be planted in my home country which feels more trustworthy than in far away countries. ClimateHero is very transparent and easy to use.

Excellent group with a couple snafus!
I felt the groupâs âtestâ was inaccurate because I could not find a place to mention we already had a heat pump; are on an island w/ only one electric corp. available; and I have been PRESCRIBED beef/turkey every day for severe health problems, etc. it was unkind to label us negatively and cruelly!

Thank you for your 4-star review, Gail! We appreciate your feedback and understand your frustration with the limitations of the calculator. We strive to make the process as accurate as possible, but we recognize that some personal circumstances, like health-related dietary needs and specific energy situations, might not always be fully captured.
Weâre sorry that the labels felt unkind, and weâll work to improve how we handle such cases in the future. Your commitment to sustainability despite these challenges is admirable, and we value your support.

After the recent Covid 19 virus scare we donated to Peter MacAllum Cancer Center for 6 months. My father died of liver cancer and was treated there for a few weeks many years ago.
