We have been using Clio for over 10 years and really like the product. We recently deactivated 1 of our 2 licenses after a trial run with the 2nd license. I noticed a couple months later we were still being charged for 2 licenses. After speaking with customer service it turns out we did not perform the extra step to actually remove the license even though it was deactivated. When I requested a refund for the license fee we clearly did not use for two months, they were absolute that no refund or credit would be given. I was shocked they were not willing to refund the charge for a license we had not used in two months. Basically our mistake our problem. Not very good customer service. Very disappointing.

Clio is great because it is very easy to use and navigate. File management and billing in Clio is super easy and if you make a mistake, it is very easy to edit, fix, or move a file.

Revolutionary Software for the Modern Firm
Clio has a fantastic user experience. In just a few months of using it, I have been blown away with the sheer capability and ease of access Clio offers. Customer service is great and the user experience is fantastic! There may be growing pains but that's normal for any piece of software. Amazing!
Great Customer Service
Whenever I have a question or am not sure how to do something they are always happy to help me. They do not hesitate to hop on to my screen and show me how to correct a mistake I have made or explain how to do something I was not sure of. The customer service department is the best I have ever delt with.

This is an accurate "nutshell" description of Clio.
Based on my experience since January 2020, and those of which I have worked with during this time, if you practice law, if you run a law firm, if you own a law firm, you NEED to get on board with Clio.
Clio easily beats the competitors, and it sets the bar high as the best all-in-one practice management software. Providing you with the safety assurance and compliance needed, and the support to manage and save all client files, all communications in and outbound, to maintain and track all court deadlines, draft court forms and create individual and personalized pleadings, perform all tasks related to billing, and everything else that is case and client related. The overall savings to have multiple features with multi-level support software included in one program, is extremely affordable.
I highly recommend everyone at least requests to go through a demo so you can see everything they offer, because "yes CLIO can do that" for you.
When you're looking for a software program that can do something and also provide added support and features, yes CLIO can, and will, do that for you.
If you're looking for a whole practice management system that has the best customer service, yes CLIO can do that, and it will surprise you with their great customer support.
Clio is a Life Saver
Clio helped make my transition from a public attorney to a private one. I did not have an assistant, so Clio saved me. It kept me organized, was intuitive to follow, and even keeps track of my operating and trust accounts. It's a lifesaver.

The software works great for my small firm, and I get the support I need to use its various features. It works with many of the other software platforms I use for my firm.
Clio could not delivery twice for timely onboarding
Clio could not delivery twice to schedule onboarding to see if this was a product I could use for document management only to change from another provider. I wanted to test it out and was hopeful I could make the switch. I cancelled because they could not get my onboarding soon enough and then gave them a second shot and the same thing happened. I was charged $350 for three months for no service or to even try. The tutorials did not provide me enough information to figure out if I would be happy with the system and I needed the onboarding for questions (I attended live webinar while waiting for onboarding and that was not enough either). They refused to refund when I cancelled after one week. If you are on a time line I would be weary and careful signing up for this service to test it. Folks are nice but they just could not delivery for me.

I've been with Clio for almost a year now and the improvements over my prior billing program are clear and many! Clio is much easier to use, and when I do hit a glitch, their customer service is patient and helpful.
My Clio experience
I like how everything I used so far in Clio is straightforward and doing exactly what I need at the moment. I am grateful that they have staff on standby to assist with any issues 24/5 of the week, they are really helpful. And we have been using them for over 5-6 years and it only gets better each year.

As an attorney practicing for over 30 years, I was reluctant to switch everything to an online system. The old school lawyers tend to like paper. The transition was seamless and the efficiencies created were fantastic. So please.
Great Program, Definite Learning Curve
Iâve been using Clio as my primary case management system for the last month and a half and, overall, Iâve been relatively satisfied with the product. There is a DEFINITE learning curve though. It offers a solid foundation for managing matters, contacts, billing, and dayâtoâday workflow, and it has become an integral part of how my firm operates. The platform is generally intuitive and continues to move in the right direction, particularly as Clio invests in automation and integrations.
That said, there are still aspects of the software that feel underdeveloped or less refined than I would like. Some workflows could be more streamlined, and certain features donât yet feel as polished or flexible as they could be. That said, Iâm optimistic that these areas will improve substantially over the next couple of years as Clio continues to evolve and respond to user feedback.
Customer service has been somewhat hitâorâmiss. At times, questions are answered promptly and thoroughly, while other times responses feel delayed or less helpful than expected, particularly for more nuanced or technical issues. When support is strong, it reinforces the value of the platform; when itâs not, it can be frustrating.
Overall, Clio is a capable and dependable case management system that meets most of my needs today, with meaningful potential for future improvement. As long as Clio continues refining the product and strengthening customer support consistency, it remains a platform Iâm comfortable using and recommending.
Perfect for a solo
Clio has been an essential part of the operations of my solo firm since I installed it in July of 2024 after leaving a very different and expensive service that was not meeting my needs. It is a great experience to be able to have a system that adapts to me, rather than me adapting to it.
