I've been using Clio practically since I started practicing law 15 years ago

I've been using Clio practically since I started practicing and could not recommend it more! I cannot imaginge practicing law without it. Clio is a great place to organize, store, and collect client information. I can collect payments, send clients secure links, calendar events, and take notes.

Great for solo law firm owners

Clio makes it easy for me to use forms and templates so that no information is missed during the intake process. I have developed a repeatable process, so that I get the information I need to build a great estate plan for my clients.
I also use custom fields that make it easy for me to complete court forms or draft documents. I like that you can integrate the software that you need into Clio Manage.
Clio is easy to use and keeps my work organized and the client information secure.

I’ve been using Clio for a while now

I’ve been using Clio for a while now, and it’s made managing my work so much easier. The interface is clean and intuitive, and features like time tracking, document management, and client communication are all in one place. It’s not perfect—there’s a bit of a learning curve at first—but overall it’s a reliable tool that really helps streamline daily tasks. Clio is great!

Clio is very user friendly. Our firm loves the versatility of the program. One of my favorite things about Clio is how easy it is to track your time for different case matters. The financial metrics option is a great way to see how much time you have put in for the day, week, month and year. Another great feature is text messaging and client portals. In this digital age, many people like to text, and it has helped tremendously to have that option. Clio's customer service is wonderful. They are very helpful and are great at getting you scheduled for any demos that may be needed. I can't say that I have many complaints about Clio. It is a great program.

Lifesaving

I do not think I would have been able to survive my first few months as a Solo Practitioner without the assistance of Clio Manage. The data management system is superb and easy to use. From the time clock for billable hours, to the integrated calendar and task list. The best part, the customer service with their 1:1 assistance. Of course, you can ask their AI assistant for trouble shooting or even complex questions. However, you are assigned a REAL HUMAN advocate to literally take you through the trainings at your own pace.

Great Platform with Room for Improvement

We've been using Clio in our law office and overall, and overall, it's a strong, reliable platform that handles case management, calendaring, and client communication really well. the interface is clean, and once everything is set up properly, it definitely helps streamline day to day operations and keep matters organized. Customer support is helpful and always quick to respond.

That said, for the price point, there are a few areas that could use improvement. Some features, especially reporting, document automation and customization, feel a bit limited or require extra steps/workarounds to function the way a busy firm actually needs. Integrations can also be hit or miss depending on what you are trying to accomplish.

Overall, Clio is a solid system and a valuable tool for law firms, but with a few enhancements and more flexibility, it could truly match the premium price they charge.

Highly Recommend

Clio has been extremely beneficial or our office in terms of organization and peace of mind. Having one central, easy-to-use platform to track everything from intake to final billing makes the work day much smoother. I recommend Clio Manage and Clio Grow to everyone.

Broad feature set, not very deep

Clio has a very broad feature set, but those features unfortunately do not go very deep. For example, there is a task management feature, but the features of task management are limited, you can't do subtasks and the automation is somewhat limited. We are trying to use Clio without switching away from our accounting and billing system and that ultimately proved to be tricky (but not impossible). We had the option of working with a third-party integrator, or to do the development and integration ourselves using the API and our developer managed to get our data to sync (one-way) to Clio. As a result of keeping our accounting and billing system, we don't use all the features and capabilities of Clio, but if we did, it appears to be a well rounded, complete practice management tool. It lacks some flexibility so it feels like it would work better for a smaller firm than for a bigger firm with long-established processes.

Clio has been a great fit

Clio has been a great fit for our practice. It covers pretty much everything we need day to day. There are a few areas that could be improved, but their support team really makes up for it by their availability, quick to get on a call, and they usually find a workaround on the spot. They also take feedback seriously and actually pass feature requests along to their developers.

What stands out most is how much the software keeps improving. I’ve been using it for about two years, and a lot of what we rely on now didn’t even exist back then. Updates roll out regularly, often with features you didn’t even realize you needed. At this point.

Highly recommend

I'm just starting out and I don't understand how firms don't have Clio. It's so intuitive and great to keep client information and outreach organized. Everything is manageable and automatic. I love how quickly I can template out simple things, like an engagement letter. Big fan and I can't stop recommending it. I also REALLY love the team and how much support you get to navigate the program. There hasn't been a team member I've been assigned that hasn't been extremely helpful and kind.

I'm a small solo part-time firm

I'm a small solo part-time firm, with a separate full-time gig separate from my law practice. It took some time to hone how Clio could best serve my practice, mostly because my usage is such an anomaly to the legal world.

Honestly, when I was leveraging Clio Manage with Clio Grow - I outgrew my practice's capability. The growth was almost effortless, but problematic at the same time in my situation. Working with the Clio team, I scaled back and tweaked my Manage subscription to maximize efficiency and balance investment. The Clio team's dedication to finding the best and economical use of their tools rivaled the sales and on-boarding experience.

I recommend Clio to practices of all sizes - their team is unrivaled and their integrations and dedication to sustainable growth will keep me around for decades to come.

Increased Client Satisfaction And Make Smarter Decisions

Before Clio we struggled with how to fit everything into the day. We were looking to increase positive and timely client interactions. We were also looking to decrease the amount of time the Attorneys would have to be in the office. Clio revolutionized the way we do business. It was easy enough for all of us and our clients to learn and has increased Client satisfaction and allowed our Attorneys the freedom to work out of office. See what Clio can do for you! Clio is improving rapidly

Clio Grow has significantly improved our client onboarding workflow. Capturing client information upfront and seamlessly pushing it into Clio Manage once client is engaged, eliminates duplicate data entry and saves valuable administrative time. The custom field in Clio Manage is also a major plus, allowing for more tailored and organized data tracking.

That said, reporting still has room for improvement. The beta reports offer more variety, but they often require additional manipulation after export to be truly actionable.

Overall, Clio a strong tool for billing, streamlining intake and improving operational efficiency.
