Wish I could give less than one star!!

I’m sure they are a fraudulent company. Said my Mums mortgage was accepted back in May 2023. Requested shed loads of documents and paperwork (I have two mortgages and have NEVER been asked for so many things). We provided everything and then they’d ask for something else…

This went on for MONTHS. Constantly asking for new documents. I complained multiple times and was constantly told be Frankie and/or Sian that they were doing everything possible to secure my mums mortgage.

Finally in November 2023 they said they’ve secured a new lender, they sent someone from ‘Santander’ to value the property… then we NEVER heard back from them. I have sent numerous emails with no response.

They took my 60 year old mothers money and caused he so much stress. She has now lost out on buying her first home as it needed to be completed by 15th January 2024 and we still have no mortgage.

Absolutely fuming.

They don’t even deserve the 1 star!

Absolutely fraudulent company! Avoid at all costs!

I’ve been scammed out of £200. Upon emailing Gemma of my disgust, I have yet to receive a response. Looking at other reviews, it wouldn’t surprise me if I never receive one!

You should NEVER pay for a mortgage in principle.

Looking on their website, they don’t state fees for their service at any point! The nuisance calls as soon as you put in an online enquiry are horrendous! 3 calls within an hour with email follow-ups each time!

An absolute scam!

I was struggling to remortgage because of our age, we really did not want to go down the equity release route which was all everyone said we could do. I found CLS with a web search, I'd tried other brokers and had even spoken direct to lenders without success. CLS thought they could help .. I must admit I was a bit sceptical but thought for £99 upfront it was worth a go. A month later and we've just completed on our new mortgage with a first class lender .. can't believe it. The girls at CLS were brilliant, great communicators, said what they were going to do and did it. No delays, they kept everything on tr.ack, simple and straightforward, great service. My scepticism was totally misplaced - can't fault them. Thank you Lauren, Megan and Amy - brilliant team, exceptional service.

My details were given to CLS via a lender comparison site and I was immediately spammed with x8 phone calls in a 3-hour window, along with multiple texts and emails, and then again this morning before I blocked all the numbers.

They seem desperate and deeply unprofessional and the whole experience has put me off the company entirely before I've even engaged with them properly.

I will be going straight back to L&C!

What a shambles. What should of been an easy remortgage, I simply asked that the solicitors fees are part of the remortgage. Paul, who I dealt with was able to confirm there will be a small fee which was fine, but I would get this back through lenders.

When the solicitors fees come through, it’s three times the amount and the person Paul passed it on to was ‘never told about this’.

So I’ve now had to pay three times extra, which I can’t afford just to complete.

Secondly, after a number of emails to ask why this happened, nothing. No email, no sorry email. It’s embarrassing.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

lost money dealing with this company, would recommend avoiding at all costs. Very pushy sales and charge you for a mortgage in principle (which most other companies do not) then are unable to provide evidence of doing so

absolutely brilliant team, Amy has been outstanding on communication! thankyou for making this process as first time buyers just a breeze. not one bad thing I can comment on, checking in regularly, and lovely to speak too. if I ever find myself needing to use a Broker again i will be returning without hesitation, feeling very grateful. Thankyou Lauren and Megan, absolutely no faults amazing service! Contacted CLS after another mortgage application failed. On the Wednesday contacted CLS by the Friday application submitted and by the Tuesday following week application accepted! Honestly ladies as first time buyers that panicked after another mortgage was declined you were amazing! Thankyou

My advisor was the girl and all she did was keep telling me lies. Thank you the girl for the false hope and lies and wasting my time. Communication was shocking aswell now I’m being ignored

Go with Simply Adverse they got me a mortgage without any problems and never lied or ignored me

Great experience with the CLS Money team who helped me secure a remortgage at a competitive rate. Provided good support once it reached the solicitor stage of the remortgage as well. The insurance team also made me aware of useful products without pressurising me.
