Bought a Fitbit HR inspire in 2020 (not used that much)
Contacted Fitbit as needed a new charging lead for it.
Surprised to find out they supply them any more, for a product that is just 6yrs old = the lifespan is being intentionally shortened due to this.

..... expect it is going to be the same whichever Fitbit you have, you have to chuck it away after a few years, if you need a new charger .....only solution seems to be to buy a new fitbit .... or better still buy one that lasts a lot longer

ich liebe fit bit und bin seit der Charge 2 immer dabei 0ber die 3, 4, 5 bis zur 6... Die 6 allerdings habe ich mir heute in den letzten 3 Jahren seit Veröffentlichung zum 3.mal bestellt wg einem defekt des Displays...
Durch die health App hab ich keine Lust mehr essen zu tracken, Sport oder sonstiges...die 7 wird es definitiv nicht, wenn es bei der health App und dem Verschleiß der uhren bleibt werde ich definitiv wechseln!!!!!

Since you have changed the app my fitbit is not registering my sleep as it should. At times it registers a couple of hours of light sleep without REMs and at other times it doesnt register any sleep at all.

You should change it back to the sensibility and format the app had before. This one sucks.

Sense 2 won't charge, and now advice not to use a compute USB port. If they wasn't to make things so difficult they won't get another purchase from me. Also difficult to use, and won't display time while on a workout. Won't bother with another Fitbit

Replaced my previous charge 6 (after it died following an update!!) with a new charge 6…….. what a disaster this latest Charge 6 does not recognise AF so constantly telling me I have only slept a couple of hours after a good 6-7 hours sleep! Sleep is one of the main things that I monitor so this new charge 6 is not fit for purpose! If you have AF seriously consider if this Fitbit will do what you want! I have had 6 other Fitbit watches and it’s really disappointing to see the demise since Google got involved!

Avoid Fitbit. My 3rd Fitbit and all had the same issue. They stop working just after a year. I feel this is done deliberately by Fitbit. Stay away is all I can say. Don’t waste your money.

I was fairly happy with my Fitbit Charge trackers over the years, although I had to pretty much replace them annually. Then the Fitbit app became Google Health, which absolutely sucks. The Fitbit app was perfect I don’t know why they cluttered it up. Food tracking is nearly cumbersome. Now I just link the fitbit to other separate apps to track food, exercise, etc.

If you are considering buying a Fitbit don’t. I have used my Fitbit in its different guises for 4 years and until the switch to Google Health was very happy with it. Post switch it’s terrible the app is not fit for purpose and is clunky and I’m looking to get an Apple Watch despite having 4 years data on the Fitbit platform.

I would give 0 if I could.
My Fitbit charge 6 went wrong after an update from Fitbit, not me!!!!
Contacted Fitbit all they will offer is 35% off another, why oh why would I buy another when this is not my fault.
They say they will get back to you but they don't, you are left hanging on the phone.
All I can say is appalling service for expensive watch.
Never will I buy from them again.

Fitbit Charge 5 stopped working after 14 months, outside of warranty. Replaced with Fitbit Charge 6 which stopped working after 9 months. First replacement for Charge 6 lasted 6 months and second replacement 8 months, just outside two year warranty of original purchase and therefore just offered 35% off new one. As much as I loved the watch when it was working, why would I waste my money and go through all that stress again! It's clearly very unreliable or designed to fail just outside warranty!

Had fitbit charge 3 .. died after warranty.. got 35% discount.. bought the charge 5 .. now it died as well... got 35% discount... why does this feel like a deja-vu? :)) because this product is of poor quality, made to last till the warranty expires and then you'll need another one

Die Fitbit App ist durch die Google health App ersetzt worden. Seitdem geht gar nichts mehr. 8 km mit dem Fahrrad gefahren das System erkennt nur 1,3 km. Brustgurt von Polar zeigt ein Hochleistungspuls an, meine charge 6 von Fitbit und die Google health App registrieren einen Puls wie beim langsamen spazieren gehen.
Das Gerät ist gemacht worden.
Das ist eine kalte Enteignung!

Awful service. The specifics :- the heart rate information I am getting is very inaccurate either showing an extremely high heart rate over 180 when it absolutely is not and I have compared it with a Polaire Strap and an oxymeter. Or when I am doing weight training with dumb bells apparently I am doing absolutely nothing. I can feel that my heart rate is raised but not according to my Fitbit 6 tracker which I bought in March 2026. I cannot sign in and here comes the Catch 22 - I cannot sign in because I am not receiving the email to reset my password. You also do not accept phone calls despite offering that on the website - the website insists that I sign in and so round and round we go. With Fitbit it wasn't like that at all so well done Google something else has got worse. I have owned a lot of Fitbits and now think perhaps it is time to move to another device. Some courtesy and accurate info is surely is the least one should expect from one of the richest companies in the world.

I've had 3 Fitbit watches over the years and each just randomly stopped working. One minute it is on 50% battery, the next minute is off, not charging, not responding, can go in the bin. NEVER AGAIN!

I contacted customer service on 3 occasions due to the screen of my Charge 3 going blank. I was told by all 3 agents that I would get an email within 25-48 hours, but nothing after 4 days. Not sure what their tactic is but seems fishy to me. I’ve decided not to buy another Fitbit as their customer service is a joke not to mention a waste of time!

Awful product third watch all failing prematurely.

I am here to share my opinions on how crappy Fitbits are. I'm on my eighth Fitbit, at least. They die so quickly. I’m finding that they are made with worse and worse and worse quality. I only bought it for the app, and now the app is also not that appealing when you see what else is up there. If one person reads this review and decides to buy their Garmin, this post is worth it. Such gigantic loss of money with these guys. I can’t believe they can improve the product quality.

I have bought a fitbit charge 2 and that was fine and now on my second fitbit charge 6.

The worst watch ever. I am so so so disappointed over the product. The first watch lasted only for around a year, and suddenly the screen went black. Have turned it on and the watch got warm. After a year I couldn't get a guarantee...

Now my second as I took over from one of my family members, has lasted about a year. And the battery has decreased fast. Even though it is fully charged after a day, it can go from 70% to 0.

Not buying fitbit anymore and it went worse when Google took over. The app and watch doesn't agree with each other..

When you update watch crashes customer service don't do anything.

Fitbits are rubbish.
I've had several, and many family members have bought them.
They all started to loose power, and most eventually stop working.
Interestingly this all starts a short period after 2 years, which is just after the warranty runs out, and you can't get a replacement.
BUILT IN OBSOLESCENCE !!
No more Fitbits!!
