Does not stand by recommendations
Compare Power provided info- on web and over phone- that I used to make a decision on which electric company to choose (4 Change Energy). In making this decision, I was advised to calculate my average 30 day usage to help determine appropriate plans. 4Change Energy did not fulfill my change request as I directed and have confirmation of thru Compare Power's site, causing me to incur fees and overcharges. My first billing cycle is calculated at 19 days at full rate per kh since I did not meet the minimum, that was based upon 30 days of use. I was also told by 4 Change that if I had contacted them by 11/13 I would have had more options. I did not receive the bill or any indication that the power was switched early, against my directives, until I received their bill on 11/26. 4 Change stated that was unfortunate for me. When I contacted Compare Power after learning this, I was told they would help me find another new company but not offer advice or assistance with the last company they referred me to. If you want a company that recommends reputable services and stands with you through the process they complete on your behalf, Compare Power is definitely not the service for you.

Please email use at support@comparepower.com with reference to this review and we will be able to look into it. We just have no record of your order and you haven’t provided us the additional information requested. That said, for the benefit of anyone else reading this - yes, bill credits are calculated by the provider (not us) per billing cycle, and this is a common complaint with bill credits plans on “short cycles” where your first billing cycle (or last) has a shorter period. Unfortunately that’s just the way the providers play their games. I assure you we are on your team and always take the side of the consumer- we are here for you and will always give you all the help we can any time over the phone.
