I am an elderly person, moved into a small bungalow for health reasons , wanted a little more space, so decided to have a garden room built on. The Builder recommended Complete Building Control because things would be much quicker and smoother than using the local authority (what a joke). Some reports were written but nothing is followed up when they have pointed things out that are wrong. How long my garden room will remain standing is any ones guess. I paid over £1400 for not a lot. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Signed up with CBC to inspect my garage and loft project, been given lots of guideline advice during the process. received the FC few weeks after final visit. I would highly recommend.

I used complete building control company for my extension . The service was ok but management changed since the. and now better management and excellent service I received from outstanding Tania Nasrin who processes my paper swiftly and helped me to get completion certificate , excellent work

The inspector came out when requested. Although they were going though a period of restructuring Holly O'Sullivan in the office did her best to keep me informed and send out my completion certificate in a pleasant and timely manner

We had a great experience with Complete Building Control, despite some unfortunate technical issues with their telephone systems throughout September. The director, Melap, took the time to personally explain the situation, showing a real commitment to customer care. Unfortunately, due to the communication issues, we had to revert to the local authority for building control, but Melap was incredibly understanding and kindly agreed to cancel both the application and the cancellation fee given the circumstances. Their prompt and professional response to our complaint left a lasting positive impression. We will definitely consider using this company again in the future!

absolutely terrible. no certificate, they dont answer the phone or emails. phone calls just go to a full mail box.

Absolutely Diabolical !
Currently using CBC on a number of projects and been trying to arrange various inspections since the beginning of September following inspectors not turning up for inspections, they are not answering phone calls or responding to any emails, totally disgraceful way to treat loyal customers just taken our money and disappeared !!!!

have they gone bust, have spend 700 pound with them, what happens now, they done 1 inspection, my job stuck on a standstill

I have also been trying to contact them for the last few weeks no answer . I called solihull local build control and was told that they believe that this company had gone into liquidation, As a local builder with 2 or more jobs to get passed off this is not good news,

I have been building an extension for a family friend in Walthamstow, they decided to use this company for the inspections, all inspections complete but now uncontactable, we have had to resort to issuing all the reports and photos to the local council and paying again to obtain a completion certificate, STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Communication is absolutely shocking. They don't answer emails or phone calls (even their answer machine say's that it's full so you can't even leave a message). We had our final inspection mid-July, now 2-months later and we still have not received any communication for completion. I've been trying to contact them for months with no way to get through (tried numerous numbers and email addresses, no one answers). We're at a complete loss of what to do - we've already paid them so they have our money and don't seem to care about finishing their job. Terrible behaviour from a company. STILL WAITING. CBC IS STILL SILENT. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

We are a firm of architects. We have been using Complete Building Control Ltd on a renovation project in London.
We have emailed, called, on several occassions for our final completion certificate for a project completed in February 2024, but as yet no one has responded.
Please do not use this company

I wish I could give them zero! This company is a complete shambles and should be avoided at all costs. I had to have a fire curtain installed in a property. This was done and the completion paperwork sent to them so they could issue the certificate. They lost this twice and then demanded we complete some forms to get this issued. You guessed it, they sent an out of date form first time so this had to be done twice. I was then promised the certificate 5 weeks ago. Nothing has come through despite promises from directors etc. I have now tried to call all their numbers using every combination on the switchboard and they all say the voicemails are full and cut you off. I tried direct mobiles - the same thing. They do not respond and when they do, they promise to resolve it and nothing happens. I have now had to threaten legal action and placed solicitors on standby to see if that makes a difference. I suspect not. Save your aggravation and use a reputable business as this one is just a joke

I have spent my time chasing and chasing! Firstly it took days to get through to them, the mailbox is always full so can't leave voice messages.

When we did get through some staff have been rude and unhelpful!

We had an inspection booked between 9-5pm and nobody showed up! We did not even get a call to inform us that nobody was coming!! Do NOT reccomend.

Final certification is of no value. 2 Structural engineers, 3 builders and the Federation of Master Builders all agree that our property is currently in a dangerous situation. Suggest using local government as an alternative. As far as they are concerned its all the builders fault!

I cannot get hold of anyone mail boxes full tried several different numbers no reply one was off the hook constantly as busy all day awaiting my sign off certificate starting to panic I have paid good money so not happy at all

Have been attempting to contact via email and voicemail and no response to finalise our building control. Has there been an acquisition and our previous contact has left the business?
This situation is extremely stressful and frustrating. Would appreciate a reply urgently.

Awful company! An email sent with a standard, we will contact you within 10 working days, which still hasn't happened. 3 phone calls, each with a promise of a call back, the last one saying it would definitely be that day. And still 6 days later, absolutely nothing! Useless!!

Stick with the councils building control, I called there, was put straight through to an inspector.

I work with Jake from Complete building control. He was a breath of fresh air! He made the process extremely simple and was proactive in terms of offering help and solutions. He was exceptional. I would highly recommend his services.
