I have worked for Consultus care and nursing for nearly 4 years now. I couldn't be happier with the support I have received from them while being a live in carer. The care consultants are so supportive, especially Mirella, she goes above and beyond to support her clients and carers.

I joined Consultus in 2021 and it was the best decision I ever made. It is the best company to work for. Care is at the heart of the business and their training is of a high standard which helps to maintain the great reputation of the company. The training and care managers are all lovely. I would like to make special mention to Mirella and Helen who are such amazing, supportive care managers. Thank you Consultus.

Excellent care for my Mother who recently had a spell in hospital. Her live-in carer Irene attended every day to sit with her and manage all her needs (important as the NHS were so over-stretched). She went ‘above and beyond’ and was so kind in supporting our mum during a really difficult time. Beautiful person and a wonderful carer.
Furthermore our regional care manager Sam was outstanding too in chasing up Mum’s GP, the ambulance and Medical staff at hospital and kept us informed of progress at all times. Lucky to have such a kind attentive team looking out for our Mum

During the last 2 years Consultus have and continue to provide an excellent service helping with the care of my elderly and frail parents. The quality of their carers is consistently good, and the service supporting us manage the care is always responsive, helpful and wise. We know we can rely on Consultus at each turn. Thank you!

As a self-employed carer, I have enjoyed working with Consultus—previously for three years and rejoining the company in 2024. Not only do they ensure that all carers receive training and support, but the organisation also strives to match carers with those who require care services. The Consultus office team go out of their way to ensure that carers have suitable and sufficient bookings for the time they are available to work. This is particularly beneficial for carers who travel to the United Kingdom to work part-time.

Consultus Care and Nursing, what can I say, look no further, if you are looking for a care company, choose them! If you are looking for a career in caring and you are integral, then choose them. Everyone in this company lives up to high standards. They have created a very highly functioning company while not losing their integrity and personal touch. 10 out of 10.

After working 32 years in the care industry I decided I wanted to be a self employed carer. It was really important to me that I chose wisely after having had some bad experiences regarding support and training opportunities offered with previous companies I had worked for. I chose Consultus Care because from
my first contact with them I was impressed by the level of support they spoke about providing self employed carers including their commitment to ensuring all carers employed and self employed complete the annual training programme.
I have now been with Consultus for 3.5 years and it was the best decision I ever made. I have never felt more valued and supported as a carer than I have since I joined them. The passion and commitment that the Head office have for providing the best quality care possible shines through. I’ve never met a more dedicated and competent staff team in the care field and I can highly recommend anyone thinking of becoming a self employed carer to chose Consultus I am proud to be a member of the team.

Well consultant is the best agency to work with I've been working with them I think nearly seven to eight years now and they've been very good to me most of the managers are very very good trying to give you job and they're very very good so if anybody want to work for care agency I think consultants nursing and okay and nursing is the best company to work for

I have unfortunatly worked for this company, in comparison to other companies they do not pay well. The training is very shoddy, the trainers (if you can call them that) do not seem to have any respect for carers who are expérienced. The lessons plans of some of the trainers havent changed in years. As far as i can gather working for consultus is not about being à good carer its about being à good ass licker, for want of better words. For myself i have done 6 months training for this job, not 5 days, and have been an examiner in France. The date of my expérience is from 2018 to 2022

I used Consultus Care from May 2022 until my mum passed away on 1 July 2024.
The admin team were always very friendly and helpful.
The carers were very good. I think we had a few who weren’t quite right, but Consultus always dealt with any problems quickly and efficiently.

All my mother's carers have been fantastic: kind and extremely caring, conscientious and flexible. They and our care manager are very knowledgeable about her condition and circumstances, and always keep me informed. The Consultus Connect app gives detailed day to day updates and allows me to check her bookings. I am so grateful for the support and would highly recommend the agency.

I have found the area manager and carers extremely caring and thoughtful.

From the initial meeting through to commencing care Consultus have been thoroughly professional and caring with great understanding and communication. The carers provided for our father have been nothing short of simply wonderful providing great peace of mind for our father and our family.

Fiona Moore who manages the relationship with us and the team of carers at Consultus is proactive, supportive, sensitive and phenomenal at finding carers who are the right fit for Dad. I will bring all my experience ability and passion for the company , the skills that I had with the previous company the knowledge that I got from life experience. It's good when you see that the experience you learnt from previous company the new company don't show or have contribute it so that others will learn from that.

I have been a carer with Consultus since April 2024. Besides the training they gave me, the support at various clients, getting me constant work and care they have shown me has blown me away. The team at the office, particularly Tracy and Amelia are always willing to answer any question, no matter how random. Oh and the carer house where I stayed during training was just beautiful, just what I needed after a long flight from SA and landing in a new country. I would highly recommend them as an agency for both carers and families needing care. They are a family run business with care at the heart of the business. Thank you for everything

I am a live in carer with Consultus, I have been recruited by and worked with Gemma Bigginton for 2 clients. I have been blown away by her dedication to her supervisory role, she is passionate about what she does, she is kind and caring to both her clients and her carers, no job is too big or too small for her, no matter what you need, whether it be advice, supplies or anything, she acts on this promptly . There's never having to do a return call or wait its done there and then. She follows up on absolutely everything to give the best service to her client and carer. Gemma will drive miles and go the extra mile to see her carers and her clients, making sure both parties are happy and receiving the best service. The ongoing training and involvement is excellent. I can highly recommend Gemma and Consultus !! Outstanding!

We have been using Consultus for over 4 months and, based on our experience so far, we can highly recommend them.

We required 24 hour live-in care for our 87 year old aunt, who had recently been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, and our 93 year old uncle, for whom our aunt had previously been primary carer. The care put in place by the NHS was woefully inadequate and our experience with another care agency was disastrous. We were at the end of our tether but fortunately a friend of the family recommended Consultus and we are so pleased they did. Gemma Bigginton, the Consultus care manager who has been excellent, established a great rapport with our aunt and uncle from the start. Understanding the urgency of our situation, she organised a care package to start within a few days.

All the carers so far have been amazing, kind and capable. The house is spotless and organised, all have embraced our aunt & uncle’s vegetarian diet and have provided them with nutritious meals. They have dealt with GP appointments, medication, our aunt’s NHS carers, district nurses, etc. The carers establish a WhatsApp group with the family from day one to provide regular updates and information and Consultus also provides a daily email update, all of which we find very reassuring.

Sadly our aunt’s health deteriorated rapidly and she passed away three months ago but a special mention must go to Safron and Sue who looked after both our aunt and uncle for the last 6 weeks of our aunt's life and for Safron who supported our uncle before, during and after our aunt’s funeral. Since then Consultus have remained in place providing support and continuity for our uncle.

Gemma and her team have been wonderful throughout these difficult months and we would be very happy to recommend Consultus Managed Care to others.

A disaster from the moment my Mum had reapplied to work for consultus Jan 2024 , eventually went to train in May 2024 and told her she was not competent.
Because the trainers were Nity Nattering and that's their attitude. They either like you or dont. I have voice notes from carers on how the trainers are Nattering behind certain carers that they are training backs.

Not professional at all.

Bare in mind both my Mum and I worked from 2009 to 2018 and myself 2019.

People are being told they did not pass and are told to leave immediately. Some carers come from overseas and have no where to go immediately. Carers are often being told to pay for their training and are not allowed back . One carer had a family emergency to attend and later lost her Mother and was made to pay for her training
£350 and they will not have her back or will not give her the certification.

This company is heartless and do not care for the carers . Never ever will I recommend them. There are lovely agencies out there with kind compassionate trainers. No need for this abuse.
It's time to talk out and stop lying and blocking reviews. I will have my say.
